Guti's form has kept Beckham out of the side

Aye, nothing to do whatsoever with Capello just not liking Becks?

He thinks Becks is too big for his boots and he's proved that with his statements over Becks since his LA Galaxy deal was announced. Becks has been the 2nd best Real player after Casillas since he's been there, he should never have been dropped in the first place.

Capello doesnt like him yes but his form has been poor for this as well as last season. He had a good first season in which he used to create a good amount of chances and assists besides scoring. He was however never second best, as others like Zidane and Ronaldo were much better. Also like I said Guti has had the most number of assists this season and has hence taken Beckham's place in the side. Also the presence of Reyes and Robinho, both of whom are faster than Beckham have limited his oppurtunity to start on the flanks.

In short Beckham isnt offering Madrid anything anymore. I wish him all the best with his US career.

Btw, Real's new singings Higuain and Gago have already impressed in the 1-0 win over fourth placed side Real Zaragoza.

His form would always struggle when he was stuck at RWB to allow the god awful "Right back" to get forward. I can't remember his name atm, Brazillian bloke.

Well Becks was better defensively which says it all about Cicinho tbh, he was good going forward but what's the point in a wing back (as that was his 'technical' term) who can't even defend better than Becks?

Well Madrid have always had attack minded full backs. Although Cicinho was probably a bit too over the line. But then he has been injured for a while now and Sergio Ramos, Michel Salgado and Miguel Torres have been starting at back.

Cicinho actually did Beckham's job of putting in good crosses into the box for Ruud and Raul much better than Beckham himself.

Liverpool have signed two relatively unknown spanish defenders. Arbeloa from Deportivo for ?2.6 million and Duran from Malaga for free I think.

I fear this could be another one of Benitez's totally shocking signings, (a la Morientes, Nunez, Pellegrino) but we will have to see.

It more than likely is Drew. Other than Alonso, his other spanish signings haven't quite been up to scratch and that's including Garcia as well. He's just too hit and miss.

He should go for players who are more likely to adapt the physical style of the Prem...Like part human thugs.Namely, english football fans.Anyway,i am a little disappointed at the lack of movement on the market. What's gonna happen with Mascherano?

This transfer market was odd. the only big surprise came when man united bought Larsson and that happened before it even opened!

Yes it was an odd window, no really huge signings. Young moved to Villa for nigh on ?10 Million, plus he scored on debut. Villa have strengthened up top alot with... Carew, Young and Maloney all coming in.

Forest had an odd window.

IN:

Prutton (loan but probably be permanent in the summer)
Chambers

OUT:

Southall (back to Gills for the 3rd time in his career)
Cullip
Eaden (loan)
Thompson (loan)

I'm pleased about Prutton as we lack midfield spark and he's just that.
