Part of the swap deal seeing Baros go to Lyon. Bargain for Villa tbh. Carew looked more dangerous the other night than Baros did all season combined. Baros didn't have any heart at Villa and it showed big time.

and interestingly, he scored in his first game at Lyon. I reckon this swap deal will work wonders for both the clubs.

Well i watched him against Man U,and i thought he was class. He had far better ball control than the other players in his team, and his skill was escellent in tight spaces.Though he probably wasn't committed enough to Villa.

Baros obviously has talent. hewas the leading scorer at Euro 2004 i think so he must be good

Howard to Everton on a 5 year deal. can't think of anyone who will be interested in that though

Good signing imo. He's been very good for Everton, not the greatest in the world but good enough for a Premiership side.

The long drawn out transfer process of Javier Mascherano from West Ham to Liverpool has been completed after the Premier League accepted his transfer was within the rules.

Mascherano has flown out to Barcelona and will be eligable to play for Liverpool tomorrow.

Henrik Larson will not extend is loan deal with Manchester United and will return to Helsingbourg on the 12th March as originally aggreed.

Sidwell to Chelsea, the new Scott Parker? He's not going to turn them into premiership champions. Well its not official yet I don't think but he has left Reading and rumours are hes going to chelscum for 51K a week !

Except that we are former Premiership champions. Just because we dint win it this year doesnt make us a poor side. But yes I dont think Sidwell would make any dramatic difference to our roster.

So that would make him the next Scott Parker then

One of the sillier rumours I've heard is that Man Utd threw their game against West Ham in return for first option on Tevez. I really hope this isnt true.

would you care to point out where i said chelsea were a poor side?

Yep Sidwell will become the new Parker/Wright-Phillips. It's not a great move from him really, he could have had a first team spot at somewhere like 'Boro and is not gonna get in the Chelski side with Lampard/Makele/Ballack and Essien in there.

Kev, I doubt thats true, Fergie wouldn't have played Rooney with the Cup Final next week.
