Football Transfers Thread

I heard a rumour that Axel Witsel might be on his way to Manchester United. If true then a very good signing.

Premier League: Tottenham have no interest in Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno | Football News | Sky Sports
Oh boy am I relieved.
Emre Can is a wonderful signing, seen few of the Champions league games and he looked like a pro already, I remember once he dribble past a strong Barca defense, not sure weather that was him or Shaqiri though. He is strong though, very strong, seems like a perfect DM fit for us.
Really happy with the rumors thus far.

I would prefer him or Markovic over Lallana and that is simply for the price tag that Saints have put on him and plus they will be a much better decisions because of their age especially Markovic.

Quite pleased with Liverpool's business so far- Lambert, Can, and by the looks of it, Moreno is on his way too. I know most people have been put off by his price tag, but I really, really hope we sign Lallana. However, we also need to sort out the center of defence. There are some reasonably priced defenders with EPL experience on the market. Agger might be on his way (disappointing), Skrtel is a liability, Toure is Toure, Ilori will probably be sent out on loan again, Sakho is still a bit of an unknown quantity, and Kelly doesn't have much first team experience at CB and is always injured. Micah Richards' career hasn't progressed as everyone thought it would/could and his limited appearances for City these past 2 seasons have been shocking, but perhaps a move away from City could rejuvenate his career. I also rate Steven Caulker very highly.

Should have signed Garay when he was yet available. Off to Bayern now, isn't he? 15ME is just daylight robbery. Caulker, Lallana and Richards would be decent coups for a Europa League side. Stakes are higher now for us.

Romelu Lukaku tells Chelsea he wants to leave - Telegraph

Taken awfully, awfully out of context

Rom said:
Well, Chelsea buy players every summer don?t they? There has always been fierce competition for places at Chelsea and with Torres, Ba and now Costa, this year wont be any different.

On the other hand, there is an awful lot of interest in me from other clubs. If you want to believe that means 1+1 is 2, well yes, I guess you could be right. I consider myself to be a complete striker and Chelsea are fully aware of how I feel about the current situation.

What I want to do now is concentrate on playing well for Belgium in the World Cup, that is good for everybody! We?ll see after the World Cup what crosses my path.

Lest we forget, just a couple days ago he was all giggity about playing for the biggest club in England. Sure, he?s a bit of a flip-flopping immature little boy, but he?s just talking a bit too much once again. Why do all these Belgians talk too much!

You mean the team that's not in the CL this year? and also who ended below tottenham last season?

You clearly do not know what 'big' means. You're another 16 titles short to even be on the same page. Kthxbye.:wave

Oh and we still won more trophies than you last season(C.Shield), so suck on that.

Imagine thinking Chelsea are the biggest club in England, when they are not even the biggest in London. Just imagine.

I will be the first person to admit that we(CFC) have a history that is not comparable to the great histories of Liverpool and United. But tell me, if you had to bet on the best performing English team for 14/15 season, wont you pick Chelsea? I mean, even the staunchest haters of CFC will admit that we are pretty set at defense and midfield and only need a world class striker to become the most complete team in the England. I think Rom meant "Chelsea are the best team in England".

And I also dont understand why many people whine about Chelsea getting "undeserving" money(I have not put it in the best possible way). In the last 5 or 10 years before Roman's takeover, we were in a similar position to the current Everton team( just a bit better :p). We were regularly qualifying for CL(or atleast putting up a tough fight) and got a few cups on the way as well. I am sure many of us will be happy if one of the higher-mid table sides got a cash injection.
