Herrera is not 30m good either. He's not even Athletic's best midfielder. Iturraspe is. But as far as Man Utd's midfield goes, Herrera would their best MF provided he does sign eventualy.

Indeed. I think clubs are just making use of United's desperate need for half-decent players. 30M transfer fee and 160K/week wages are just outrageous for a 18-year LB.

Bilbao should to be the toughest club to deal with in the market. I mean, I cannot recall Bilbao selling their players for anything less than their release clauses.

It's not just Athletic. It's how Basque clubs roll - 'pay the release clause or fack off'. Sociedad are no saints either. Recall a certain Ilarramendi going for 37m last year?
