Qualifying Session 1 Felipe Massa showed his real class by topping the 1st session in qualifying at Bahrain. Massa drove the quickest time of the weekend with 1:34.052, as it seems the track is getting quicker and quicker. He takes a .720 second gap between himself and Giancarlo Fisichella, although the times are wiped clean in the next session. Nick Heidfeld surprised many as he continues to shine in the new BMW Sauber, placing himself in third place. The big shock of the session was that, 7 time world champion Michael Schumacher finished in 22nd place and will start from the back of the grid for the race tomorrow. He managed just 1 lap in which his Ferrari seemed to have a problem, and was unable to be fixed before the end of the session. It will be an uphill task for Schumacher to get any points from tomorrow's race. Reigning champion Fernando Alonso goes into the 2nd session after managing the 5th fastest time.

Qualifying Session 2 Felipe Massa again topped the list in session 2, this time around a time of 1:34.112 was quick enough to lead the pack. Fernando Alonso picked up the pace a bit, going 0.840 seconds faster than his previous lap in session 1. Giancarlo Fisichella continued to show that he will be a possible front runner here in Bahrain with the 3rd fastest time of the session. Juan Pablo Montoya and Jenson Button both found themselves through to the final session with 1:34's to their name. Kimi R?ikk?nen, Jarno Trulli, Nico Rosberg, Ralf Schumacher and Christian Klien were the final 5 drivers who made it through. Nick Heidfeld fell off the pace of the first session and missed out by 0.020 seconds. Rubens Barrichello under performed and could only manage 12th place, his best lap not counting due to the time already expiring. David Coulthard will start the grid in 13th, Jacques Villeneuve 14th, Mark Webber 15th and Vitantonio Liuzzi 16th.
Qualifying Session 3 Giancarlo Fisichella will be on pole for tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix after beating Juan Pablo Montoya and Fernando Alonso during the final 20 minute session. Times appeared a lot slower than in the other two sessions, Nick Heidfeld's time of 1:35.892 from the second session would've moved him to 5th if he had made the cut. Montoya will start on the front row of the grid alongside Fisichella, just .100 seconds slower. Massa dropped to fourth after leading both session 1 and 2. Button stays 5th which will give the British driver a fantastic chance of a podium place.

Giancarlo Fisichella makes pole for the 1st race of the 2006 season
Yep I drove poorly, but in fairness the times started to go slower for everyone. I was on the best lap I had ever driven around Bahrain for the time to run out with just 1 corner to go :
I do not think that I can autoplay the races on F1CE, so I will have to either give the racing a go myself or maybe try to find an F12006 mod for rFactor and race there.
Bahrain Race - 5 of 57 laps Giancarlo Fisichella has kept his lead after starting from pole position at Bahrain, in what has been an eventful first 5 laps. There has been no retirements but plenty of incidents, including a 1st corner collision between Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso. Jenson Button tried to go around the outside of turn one, lap one to overtake Fernando Alonso. Instead he managed to hit the back of Alonso as the reigning champ came back to cover the racing line. Jenson Button lost his front wing and Fernando Alonso's back wing was damaged, resulting in both drivers pitting at the end of the lap.
In other action a battle between Rubens Barrichello and Christian Klien finished up with Klien sliding back to 21st position. Going into the penultimate turn of lap 2, Christian Klien tried to take advantage of Barrichello running a little wide. Barrichello carried on his line and Klien couldn't brake quick enough, his front wheel catching Barrichello's front wheel resulting in Klien spinning. Heidfeld managed to miss Klien's car but Coulthard was not so lucky. Completely blocked by Webber's car he had no chance to get out of the way, ending up with a smashed front wing of Klien's and his car.
Michael Schumacher has gained 11 places after starting at the back of the grid due to a mechanical problem in qualifying. Scott Speed and Vitantonio Liuzzi have also had to stop due to the Klien spin. Rubens Barrichello has moved up five places, Webber also five places, and Sato has been helped massively by the incidents moving up seven places.
Fisichella holds pole position and wins in Bahrain Giancarlo Fisichella lead the whole race from start to finish after taking pole in qualifying. Fisichella lead from start to finish and was rarely challenged until late on by Felipe Massa, who finished second. Juan Pablo Montoya made the final podium place, but was 21 seconds behind the leader. Rubens Barrichello moved up 8 places from 12th on the grid to secure 5 championship points. Then came Fernando Alonso, who recovered from an early pit stop following a collision with Jenson Button into turn one, followed by Michael Schumacher who made it from the back of the grid up to 6th. Kimi R?ikk?nen finished where he started in 7th place, and Jenson Button managed to get the final point of the race after pitting early due to the Alonso collision.
There were just two retirements from the race. First of all Ralf Schumacher, racing in 11th, lost his front wheel into turn one trying to overtake Nico Rosberg. Vitantonio Liuzzi had gearbox failure in his Toro Rosso which meant he was unable to finish the race.
