Fringe Aussie fringe Players who would excel in other teams..

Yea real shame about Nannes if he was under 30 he'd probably have played.
Another is Steve Magoffin, hes been ripping up in FC for a few seasons and hes the only one from last season to continue his form into this season.

Brett Dorey, a FC average of 25 at the WACA so pretty impressive. At 2.03m he would be a handful at the next level.

Looking more at the batsmen, the 3 Victorians in Hodge, D Hussey and Rogers probably would do well.

Dorey did get his run in the One day game and he was surprisingly lacking a lot of bounce and pace. Dorey isn't that good.

1) Phil Jaques
2) Phillip Hughes (just becuase there is so much hype about him )
3) Brad Hodge
4) Dave Hussey
5) Shane Watson
6) Luke Ronchi
7) Ashely Noffke
8) Nathan Bracken
9) Steve Magoffin
10)Doug Bollinger
11)Shaun Tait

Thats a fair team. I reckon that team will seriously test few Int. teams going around.

That bowling line-up would be able to destroy many teams. Maybe put Nannes in there somewhere. The batting is weak. Just 4 pure batsmen?

It is an impressive team. Bracken was such a good ODI bowler, and he resulted it trying to learn to spin to get back into the team. Hodge and Hussey will always be just behind in the team which is a real bummer. Shows just how far ahead Australia are.

Indian fringe players could pwn that team :p

Abhinav Mukund
Murali Vijay
Subramanium Badrinath*
Cheteshwar Pujara
Ajinkya Rahane
Rohit Sharma / Abhishekh Nayar
Dinesh Karthik +
Praveen Kumar
Irfan Pathan
Murali Kartik
Sreesanth

Doubt it. Mukund is averaging over a hundred, Vijay is a star, nothing needs to be said about Badri, Pujara and Rahane are absolute run machines, Nayar is godly (:D), and KKD gets a hundred every time he gets a 50.

Bowling looks a tad weak IMO, but I honestly couldn't think anyone off the top of my head.

Based on this season, you'd have to go with:

8. Irfan Pathan
9. Mohnish Parmar
10. Dhawal Kulkarni
11. Ashok Dinda

And Aakash Chopra over Mukund, then we're talking. Plus, Kohli over Nayar and Sharma, I reckon. I love them, but Kohli is a better batsman.

Indeed, will Nayar even get into a full strength Mumbai XI?

Mukund has averaged 108 this season!

Of course Nayar will get into a full strength Mumbai team. Isn't he VC?

Our 2nd 11 bowling attack would look a lot better with
Bollinger
Hilfy
Nannes
McGain

First two are swing experts, Nannes bit of everything and put in a token spinner that happens to be our best atm.

Are you disputing that Chopra is not better than Mukund at this moment in time? He is by far the more mature batsman.

Manee - easily, Nayar would make the team easily. He's a talisman to them.

Brendan Nash is kind of showing it with the Windies now and he was a good player for QLD but by no means better than guys like Jimmy Maher, Stuart Law and Martin Love

Ahh Steve Magoffin... Another one that failed for Worcestershire this season. We should really ask Zaheer Khan to come back and play for us! Ah well Ashley Noffke will have to do.

When McGain returns from injury he'll probably be an automatic selection anyway. He's the only spinner who is a certainty for his state in the Shield these days.
