History

Winners or Losers started in the 21st of December 2010 with only a weak squad to start with. But as time went Winners or Losers bought their first person which was Timothy Rock. In their first season they had three different name changes as Matt121 was getting to understand the FTP terms as they didn't promote to the next divison. On Season 2 it was promoting all the way as they promoted in 2 of the leagues to divison 5 while the T20 was stuck in divison 6. Currently they have won all their T20 and youth matches but after one game in the OD where they lost.

Titles
Youth Divison 6 winners in Season 13
One Day Divison 6 winners in Season 13
T20 Divison 6 winners in Season 15
Youth Divison 5 winners in Season 15

Winner or Losers vs. Bingstown Cricket Club OD 5.1

As the second game of the season in the OD league and before it even started Bingstown Cricket Club were the favitoures. As they came on to the ground with a slow pitch. I tried to play my full squad in my second game after a lost in Roudn 1.

Rick Brookes
Gadil Hamid
Zain Naeem+
Mark McPherson
Leodegrance Elliot
Rick Hansen
Timothy Rock*
Robert Taylor
Babu Dzingai
Robert Swift
Aaron Rahman

The game started and it wasa slow start for the Winners or losers squad as they coneced 67 runs in 10 overs but Babu Dzingai went for only 5 overs and 18 runs. The second 10 overs were also a diaster for Winners or losers as they coneced two 50s from Merchant and Irfan as the Bingstown Cricket Club were on target for a 300. But then Robert Swift got his 5th wicket of the season as he's got Irfan for 56 as a screamer from Naeem to take a catch. Nasim came on the crease and he got a 6 for his first runs of the day but that wasn't over. Zachariah got out by Naeem and it was good for the winners or losers as 5 overs before Merchant got run out by Rick Brookes as he's was gone for 74. A 96 run partnership helped before 2 quick wickets came and went. But it wasn't enough as Bingstown Cricket Club join the 300 club against the Winners or losers with it being the first team away from home in a league match to get 300+ runs from Winners or losers.

Wth a tough chase for the Winners or losers squad as they really didn't getting going. It wasn't going to be a win as wicket after wicket fell. Only 2 of the 11 players playing got passed 20 with Mark McPherson getting 53. These were his inning highlights

Code:
[COLOR="Blue"]6.1 4 Dayananda to McPherson : Full and driven straight back down the ground for four. Replays show that actually took a slight deflection off of Hamid's boot and wrong footed Merchant at mid on. [/COLOR]

Code:
6.2 4 Dayananda to McPherson : Dayananda gets that one short and outside off. McPherson slashes at it attempting to cut it wide of point, but grabs a thick top edge which flies through the vacant slip region for four. Dayananda glares long and hard at McPherson and some words were exchanged between the two.

Code:
[COLOR="blue"]6.5 6 Dayananda to McPherson : [B][Boundary Hitter] [/B] That's gone like a tracer bullet over the fence at extra cover. [/COLOR]

Code:
[COLOR="blue"]9.5 4 Pickett to McPherson : What great timing from McPherson, he leant into that one and flicked it for four runs through midwicket! [/COLOR]

Code:
12.4 4 Dayananda to McPherson : Bouncer, McPherson hooks it away for four.

Code:
12.5 4 Dayananda to McPherson : [B][Boundary Hitter][/B] Slightly overpitched and McPherson gracefully drives down the ground to the boundary. No real power there, just wonderful timing. [/COLOR]

Code:
[COLOR="blue"]18.3 6 Dayananda to McPherson : [B][Boundary Hitter] [/B]That was barely medium pace from Dayananda, and McPherson had no trouble smashing that over long-off. Dropped in the crowd, though, as the spectator valued his beer above the catch. [/COLOR]

Code:
[COLOR="blue"]18.4 4 Dayananda to McPherson : A full toss from Dayananda is given what it deserves. McPherson slams the ball down the pitch and the umpire hops out of its way to the boundary. [/COLOR]

[COLOR="Green"]That is 50 runs for McPherson (52 runs, 50b 6x4 2x6) SR:104.00[/COLOR]

Code:
[COLOR="Red"]18.6 W Dayananda to McPherson : There's a noise as that goes through to Mboya and Dayananda turns and appeals. Glove? Bat? McPherson's arthritic wrists playing up? Doesn't matter, umpire says it's out.
M. McPherson c A. Mboya b. B. Dayananda 53 (53b 6x4 2x6) SR:100.00 [/COLOR]

So all of the Bingstown bowlers got at least 2 wickets as they went and smashed the winners or losers

Nice to see you're giving an FTP story another go. Hopefully you come through with it :)

imo, I'd fix your presentation. The scorecard could do with some formatting 'cause right now, it's a mess.

Thanks. If your a designer can you please do the heading and my youth plus senior squads.

Why do you need help doing your senior/youth squads. Why don't you just post the player names, what type of player they are and how old they are. Sort of like how I did in my story.

Ok then

--------

Matt121 came into the Youth Academy knowing that he needed to get a bowler to at least improve the squad even though he was a bit sick. And what does he get. Of coure this

Winners or losers came into the T20 game knowing that a win would comfirmed a top 2 spot plus if The Strongbows lose against LightningXI then it would be a top contendor. Matt entered a custom squad that the assist gave.

Rick Brookes
Zain Naeem+
Gadil Hamid
Nathan Sarovich
Hakim Onyana
Rick Hansen
Gerard Lewis
Timothy Rock
Zane Thorn*
Idhma Vijayakumar
Aaron Rahman

clorke is king shouldn't of batted first because the 2nd ball and Winners or losers had their first wicket as Idhma Vijayakumar got his first and only wicket of the game. After that clorke is king settled into a 20/20 rhythm for 2 overs before they lost two wickets from Rick Hansen and Zane Thorn as they were struggling at 3-32. Zane Thorn took his second wicket of the day as G. Rowe got lbw and they weren't underdogs any more. After that clorke is king lost 6-56 in 12 overs as Timothy Rock got 2 wickets in 2 balls before coneceding 1 run.

In the second innings Winners or Losers came onto the pitch knowing they only needed 99 to win. And we got off to a great start as Rick Brookes and Zain Naeem started a 45 run partnership before Rick Brookes stuff up the reverse sweep paddle and he was gone for 36. It didn't matter as Gadil Hamid joined Zain Naeem and they got the rest of the target with ease. The 54 run partnership included a 23 run over off a dissimal Robert Watmuff.

In further T20 6.1 matches for this round the Strongbows continued their winning streak after a beautfiul win over the LightningXI as they smashed them by 223 runs. Aces XI got their second win as they beat BCC Quick Boys by 6 wickets. And redback designated drinkers won their match by 9 wickets over the Sydney Sharks.

Winners or losers vs. PCC XI OD 5.1

It was an important game for the Winners or losers team becuase they were in trouble of being relgated while PCC XI was in the same postion.

When the Winners or losers went onto the uneven pitch as Kaisar Ayub and Timothy Rock opened the bowling and it was a good start as the score was 33 for 0 in 7 overs before B Dhiri hit the straight drive and that what got them off the back foot. It was going wicketless before 2 straight wickets came from Brendan Taylor and Aaron Rahman bowling with 2 great catches. Then Brendan Taylor had his second as Zain Neeman caughted a soft ball straight into the cover hands. Then it settled as PCC XI hit a boundarie here and there. A Tilak got his 50 after a massive 6 in the mid wicket seats. After a 140 run partnership, Dennis Holmes got the big wicket of A Tilak as he felled for 98 which was only 2 off the centruy. Dennis Holmes then had his second with Mark McPherson taking a wonderful catch in his keeping spot. After that the collapse came and PCC XI was bowled over for 288 which they lose 7-48 in 11 overs. Lets have a look at A Simha highlights

13.5 4 Rahman to Tilak : Shot! Stroked through the off-side by Tilak and Rahman can only watch as it races away to the boundary.

24.6 4 Ayub to Tilak : And that's just beautiful from Tilak, the ball is a touch full and he just guides it through covers. Simha goes to meet him at halfway with a celebratory tap of the gloves.

25.5 4 Holmes to Tilak : Somehow, Tilak has managed to find a gap in the field and caresses the ball into the boundary rope. Even Holmes applauds the shot.

26.5 6 Ayub to Tilak : Length ball from Ayub, on off stump, but Tilak is able to get underneath it and send it away towards the mid-wicket boundary, staying on one knee for the cameras. Great cricketing shot, showing that you don't need to slog the ball to get the maximum.

That is 50 runs for Tilak (54 runs, 55b 3x4 1x6) SR:98.18

33.3 nb4 Holmes to Tilak : Holmes bowls it very short and it's pulled away for four.

33.5 4 Holmes to Tilak : Straight back past the bowler for four. Wonderful timing there.

37.1 W Holmes to Tilak : Goes for the big lofted drive, but doesn't time it at all and rather tamely picks out Hansen on the edge of the circle.

Winners or losers came onto the pitch knowing that 288 was a tough target to chase and it was made harder as Rick Brookes went out for 15 off a short bowl from K. Shikuku. But then it settled as Gadil Hamid and Zain Naeem got the partnership underway. On the 7th over Gadil Hamid hit a beautful 4 to at least helped them a lot in the chase. Then they went relaxed as run after run came and went before a wicket came and Gadil Hamid wented for only 22. The 2 keepers then started their partnership with one run from Mark McPherson. It started to heat up as Zain Naeem and Mark McPherson put the foot on the pedal and speeded up the scoring but it wasn't much as the highest was 4.45 an over before the 50 run came up. Zain Naeem got his 50 from a unlucky misfield and that was first ever 50 in OD. Unforulaty Zain Naeem went out 2 runs later and he was gone. Nathan Sarovich join the pack and he got 50 run partnership with Mark McPherson as Mark McPherson got his 50 to make it his second fifty in OD. But a collapse like a waterfall came and gone as the team lost 7-38 and was bowled over for 244. B. Sundaramoorthy took 5 wickets in the game and winning the man of the match award.

After a long silence to the public it is back and this is what you missed.

The youth squad just missed the cut to divison 4 as they needed two more wins to go through to divison 4. Over at the senior squad, Winners or losers once again missed out on promoting to divison 5 in the T20 by 2 wins as The Strongbows took the divison. Unforutaly in the OD, it was a bad season for Winners or losers as they got relgated to Divison 6. But it was only one win. This season is off to a great start with Winners or losers going through to Round 2 in the pavilion cup for the very first time after winning their opening Pavilion Cup match by 2 runs. Over at the OD the team is currently ranked in 5th postion with 2 wins and 2 losts while the T20 is flying with 4 wins from 4 but they aien't first as MadDogs are leading only on runrate. The youth squad is currently with 3 and 1 after losing their latest youth match.

Winners or Losers (Week 5)

Sydney Badgers vs. Winners or Losers (T20 6.1)
On a 35C day and on a uneven pitch it was fair to say that the Sydney Badgers would lose knowing that his last log in was the 18th October 2011. No surprise as my team came home with a win by 105 runs with Gerard Lewis top scoring with 92. Babu Dzingai came home with a 4 wicket haul as Sydney got bowled for 99.

redback designated drinkers v Winners or losers (Youth 5.3)
The youth team didn't had a good day on the batting side as they didn't their 6 an over they wanted with it being the same pitch as the T20. Kaisar Ayub and John Hamilton helped themselves to 50s as the score was 5/232. redback designated drinkers didn't get a good partnership going as Winners or losers took the win and stay in second spot on the table.

Winners or losers vs. nturbervvale (OD 6.20)
In the only home match for the Winners or losers this week and it were the bowlers who did the main damage as they crushed the nturbervvale batsman to only 86 which is the lowest this season and third lowest by an oppostion team in history. The team had no trouble as they easly took the target.

In further news the youth team will go in the kids till the end knockout competition which means I won't be going into the FTP World League this season. Also the team could be moving to the Netherlands if the poll which is in the FTP forums wins. Currently the gap between the Canadins and the dutch is only 2 votes so vote Netherlands. That is all the news

Winners or Losers (Week 6)

Winners or Losers vs. MadDogs (T20 6.1)
In a massive upset the team lost by 25 runs after the bowlers didn't a shocker bowling display as MadDogs scored 239 from the 20 overs including the openers scoring 85 each. Gadil Hadim did some mid order crushing as three of the 5 bowlers took 2 wickets.

Winners or losers vs. Hornsby Mavericks (Youth 5.3)
In another flat pitch match it was better luck for the team as the youths showed the seniors that they didn't do the day before. But before that, the bowlers conceded 263 runs as it also included two 50s. Andrew Mullooly and John Clark showed the other batsman how it was done as the partnership of 182 runs in only 127 balls. Then a mini collapse but they held on to win the match and staying in 2nd place.

The Dominators vs. Winners or losers (OD 6.20)
For the second week in a row, the oppiston team was bowled out for under 100 as the team won by a easy 9 wickets. But before the batting, Rick Hansen took a 5 wicket haul. The team is still in 4th place and needs to win against the Space Docks to going up to maybe 3rd.

In other news: The draw for Kids till the end has been made with the youth team being the top seeds as they have to take on Snapper Organs CC in the first round. It might be a easy match for the team but anything could happen in cricket with the members that don't have a FTP account with the highlights but for people that do, they can watch the action from 11:30am GMT time.

Snapper Organs CC vs. Winners or losers (Kids till the end R1)

The youth team came to the oppiston ground in full confenerce after winning their last youth league match. Romesh Miskin played in his first youth friendly match but other then that it was the same squad for the match

John Clark
Andrew Mullooly +
Gaurav Chopra
Siyabongi Slwana
Ariyasiri Kalum
Kaisar Ayub *
John Hamilton ^
Jason Solway ^
Lynne Eime ^
Leslie Yeates ^
Romesh Miskin ^

The Snapper Organs though won the toss and elected to bat which would be a bad decision in the end. Rory Magee was the only person to actually get a 50 as the rest of the team got out between 1 run and 16 runs but this is the intersting part, becuase if Rory Magee didn't play then the score would be only 88 runs. Kaisar Ayub and Jason Solway would continue their 3wk haul as both of them took 3 wickets.

In the Winners or losers innings, it was domination all round as the team won by 7 wickets. John Clark showed the team his batting skills by scoring a 50 to helped the team. The other 4 batsman couldn't hit 50s as they scored 2 28s and 2 17s. For the Winners or losers they are through to Round 2 where they have to take on Slipstream Cricket Club. These were some of the highlights.

Code:
6.1 W Ayub to Cusack : [catch] Short of a good length delivery on the stumps, Cusack makes room and takes a swing. The ball clips the top edge and balloons up to mid-on.
D. Cusack c J. Clark b. K. Ayub 9 (18b 0x4 0x6) SR:50.00 (SO 1-21 6.1 overs)

14.3 W Miskin to Buckley : [catch] A flighted delivery by Miskin and Buckley spots his chance, steps forward and drives in the air... however he doesn't hit it cleanly and Solway takes a good catch above his head while running backwards at mid-on.
J. Buckley c J. Solway b. R. Miskin 14 (25b 0x4 0x6) SR:56.00 (SO 2-61 14.3 overs)

17.1 6 Ayub to Magee : Poor ball, very short and down the leg side. Magee gives this absolutely everything in his pull shot and it sails high to the fine leg rope (SO 2-79 17.1 overs)

21.4 W Ayub to Manning : [catch] That's very full from Ayub, it's just about waist height and Manning has absolutely creamed that down to deep extra cover where he picks out Hamilton. The umpires are checking with each other here, there seems to be some confusion, and it seems it is NOT a no ball. Manning is on his way, and he is fuming with that decision.
R. Manning c J. Hamilton b. K. Ayub 2 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:40.00 (SO 4-90 21.4 overs)

21.6 6 Ayub to Magee : Get your sauce out ladies and gents, Ayub is bowling pies down the pitch.
  That is 50 runs for Magee (54 runs, 59b 5x4 2x6) SR:91.53 (SO 4-97 22 overs)

25.6 6 Miskin to Brown : Flighted, loopy and the perfect length to slog sweep for six! The beautiful sound of willow on leather brings the crowd to their feet. (SO 5-108 26 overs)

32.5 W Solway to Cobb : [Swing] Solway gets one to tail in late and uproots the stumps. Wonderful swing bowling.
C. Cobb b. J. Solway 2 (5b 0x4 0x6) SR:40.00 (SO 8-135 32.5 overs)

38.4 6 Solway to O'Connor : Get your sauce out ladies and gents, Solway is bowling pies down the pitch. (SO 9-154 38.4 overs)

4.1 6 Lynch to Clark : Wow! Clark picked the line early and just slogged that back past Lynch. (WOL 0-20 4.1 overs)

9.2 4 Cobb to Mullooly : Good shot, Mullooly cashing in on a fractionally overpitched delivery and square-driving for four, on the up.
  That is the 50 partnership (52 runs, 58b, 5x4, 1x6) SR:89.66 (WOL 0-52 9.2 overs)

11.1 6 Cobb to Clark : Cobb drops one short on the leg side and the grateful Clark hoists it over square leg for six. (WOL 0-65 11.1 overs)

11.5 W Cobb to Mullooly : [catch] Mullooly gets forward but pushes a bit too far and it loops up to silly point who takes a simple chance.
A. Mullooly c K. Barry b. C. Cobb 28 (34b 5x4 0x6) SR:82.35 (WOL 1-68 11.5 overs)

21.1 4 Brown to Clark : Low full toss from Brown, swung into the deep by Clark for 4.
  That is 50 runs for Clark (50 runs, 58b 2x4 2x6) SR:86.21 (WOL 2-107 21.1 overs)

24.1 W Martin to Clark : [catch] Martin released the ball with a horizontal seam, causing it to leap up and Clark was unable to keep his shot down. The ball flew straight to Magee at mid on who holds on to the catch.
J. Clark c R. Magee b. A. Martin 56 (67b 2x4 2x6) SR:83.58 (WOL 3-120 24.1 overs)

34.1 2 Cobb to Kalum : Clever play from Kalum. He's got on the front foot and stroked that through the cover point region. The sweeper comes round and does well to prevent the boundary. 2 added to the score. (WOL 3-156 34.1 overs)

Winners or Losers (Week 7)

Lotus Cobra vs. Winners or Losers (T20 6.1)
In a easy game for the Winners or Losers, there was only person that dominated the game by taking 5 wickets for only 18 runs as Lotus Cobra didn't got their partnerships going, with 34 runs for the opening stands with 10 for 51. The top 3 batsmen did the job as the team stays in second place but MadDog won his match to keep his one game lead safe.

karnataharil vs. Winners or losers (Youth 5.3)
Unfortualy there was only one word to describe the batting, smashing as the youth team scored 359 in only 40 overs, and it should of been better if Ariyasiri Kalum scored at least 10 runs on a dominated display. karnataharil innings only lasted 9.1 overs as Lynee Elime and Kaisar Ayub doing the damage with 9 of the 10 wickets with Wilfred Castles getting the final wicket. After that crushing win they stay in second but if they were with Aussie Go Hard at the top, then they would be leading on NRR.

Winners or losers vs. The space docks (OD 6.20)
This was the only competitive match of week 7 as the team went 3 from 3. Aaron Rahman now become the leading wicket-taker in Winners or losers history by taking the 4 wickets on Friday. The batting, for once had no one scoring 50 as the batsman got out before scoring a 50. Roderick Creek was the best bowler taking his only wicket and only conceded 13 runs.

No other news but the match in the kids till the end will played at 11:30 GMT time.
