dhruv's IX vs. Winners or Losers
The youth team has got off to a good start with a massive 281 runs for dhruv's IX team to chase down which included two 90s from John Clark and Andrew Mullooly. John Clark got his innings off to the perfect start as he two sixes in the space of 4 overs. Once Gaurav Chopra fell to a superb catch from J. Flies, it was all out attack for Clark, Mullooly partnership.

Then it was unlucky for John Clark as the partnership hit 150 runs as he fell only 2 runs short of his century. Andrew Mullooly also went out, but this time for 95 as a edge took the ball into I. Ali hands. It showed as the batting continued as the final score was 5/281 from only 40 overs.

Leslie Fairweather was the pick of the bowlers to take 2 wickets in a could of been experince. John Files was the only bowler from the dhruv's IX to not take a wicket as he was expense with 0/65. Now this is the first full innings.

 End of over 40 (13 runs) - Winners or losers(281-5) RR 7.02
W. Castles 15 (5b) , J. Hamilton 27 (19b) , B. Kukadiya 8-0-48-1
[COLOR="Blue"]39.6 4 Kukadiya to Castles : [misfield] What should have been a regulation single becomes a boundary thanks to some comically inept fielding by Harku, whose arms and legs appear to have traded places as he lies on the ground.
39.5 4 Kukadiya to Castles : Superb reflexes from the umpire! That was a scorcher and he leaped out of the way like a frightened squirrel. [/COLOR]39.4 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : Hamilton gets in position early for the slog sweep, but cannot get hold of it properly. Neeraj rushes around to tidy up.
39.3 1 Kukadiya to Castles : Sensible cricket by Castles. A full pitched ball and he's just knocked it back past Kukadiya. Mid-off runs round to cut it off but the batsmen pick up 1.
39.2 2 Kukadiya to Castles : A nicely controlled stroke by Castles. Intentionally chipped over the infield and the batsmen run an easy two.
39.1 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : Jennings is too slow to stop the batsmen from sneaking a single.
  End of over 39 (11 runs) - Winners or losers(268-5) RR 6.87
W. Castles 4 (1b) , J. Hamilton 25 (17b) , L. Fairweather 8-0-57-2
[COLOR="blue"]38.6 4 Fairweather to Castles : Magnificent! Half a stride down the pitch and Castles sends the ball flying over Neeraj at midwicket much to the dismay of Fairweather. One bounce before the rope means 4 to the total. [/COLOR][COLOR="Red"]38.5 W Fairweather to Doyle : Tossed up on the middle and off stump line, the ball grips the surface and turns back in. Doyle realises too late and although it strikes high on the pad, the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger.B. Doyle lbw b. L. Fairweather 16 (16b 1x4 0x6) SR:100.00[/COLOR]
38.4 1 Fairweather to Hamilton : Fairweather pitches that one a bit shorter and Hamilton leans back, slapping it out to deep square leg for an easy single. Harku fires in the return, what an arm he's got.
38.3 . Fairweather to Hamilton : [dropped] Smith never got his hands in the right position for that chance, and an easy slip catch goes begging.
38.2 2 Fairweather to Hamilton : Hamilton skips down the wicket and drives down to long off for a couple more.
[COLOR="blue"]38.1 4 Fairweather to Hamilton : An edge by Hamilton races through the empty slip cordon down to the boundary. A regulation catch for 2nd slip, had there been one.[/COLOR]
  End of over 38 (9 runs) - Winners or losers(257-4) RR 6.76
B. Doyle 16 (15b) , J. Hamilton 18 (13b) , B. Kukadiya 7-0-35-1
37.6 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : Textbook sweep shot by Hamilton down to backward square leg where Jirongo fields it. The batsmen jog through for the single.
37.5 1 Kukadiya to Doyle : Moved forward confidently to drive the ball into the covers.
[COLOR="Blue"]37.4 4 Kukadiya to Doyle : Doyle has fooled Kukadiya with his footwork and managed to create enough room to slash that away for four. [/COLOR]37.3 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : Back of a length and worked wide of mid wicket for a single.
37.2 1 Kukadiya to Doyle : Clipped towards mid-wicket for a single.
37.1 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : Driven well and despite it going straight to Veer, he had little chance of a run out there.
  End of over 37 (9 runs) - Winners or losers(248-4) RR 6.70
B. Doyle 10 (12b) , J. Hamilton 15 (10b) , L. Fairweather 7-0-46-1
36.6 1 Fairweather to Hamilton : Another single, this time for Hamilton who manages to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
36.5 1 Fairweather to Doyle : Run down to third man by Doyle for an easy single
36.4 3 Fairweather to Hamilton : That's come right off the meat of the bat and was so powerful that it went straight through the legs of Files at cover. That's 3 more to the total.
36.3 1 Fairweather to Doyle : Doyle shows great grace and timing hitting it to the covers for 1. Beautiful to watch but only one to the score.
36.2 1 Fairweather to Hamilton : Wristy from Hamilton, 1 run into the leg side.
36.1 2 Fairweather to Hamilton : Gently pushed towards cover, away from Rahman for 2.
  End of over 36 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(239-4) RR 6.64
B. Doyle 8 (10b) , J. Hamilton 8 (6b) , B. Kukadiya 6-0-26-1
35.6 2 Kukadiya to Doyle : Low full toss from Kukadiya, swung into the deep by Doyle for 2.
35.5 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : It's going to be close. It's going to be very close! Great running by Hamilton but even so I'm amazed that they're not calling for a replay. Kukadiya and Ali give the umpire the death stare but I can't see it doing them any good.
35.4 1 Kukadiya to Doyle : Now that is just plain cheeky. Doyle pushes the ball directly to Neeraj at mid-on and immediately took off, Hamilton aware of Doyle's intentions responds quickly and 1 run is scored.
35.3 . Kukadiya to Doyle : A mix up in the middle nearly causes a run-out, but Hamilton just scrambles back to the bowler's end in time. No runs, no wickets. Good value entertainment for a dot ball, though.
35.2 . Kukadiya to Doyle : [missed stumping] Doyle charges down the pitch but is unable to reach the pitch of the ball. The ball spins viciously and the keeper can't take it properly and the batsman is able to get back in his crease.
35.1 1 Kukadiya to Hamilton : Punched through the off side for 1.
L. Fairweather, B. Kukadiya are tired.

  End of over 35 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(234-4) RR 6.69
B. Doyle 5 (6b) , J. Hamilton 6 (4b) , L. Fairweather 6-0-37-1
34.6 1 Fairweather to Hamilton : Driven well and despite it going straight to Harku, he had little chance of a run out there.
34.5 1 Fairweather to Doyle : Doyle waits back on the ball and glides it down to third man for 1.
34.4 . Fairweather to Doyle : Fairweather gives the ball a lot of air. Doyle's feet are glued to the pitch and he flashes wildly, getting beaten by the turn.
34.3 1 Fairweather to Hamilton : Played along the ground just wide of Rahman at mid-on. Hamilton calls his partner through for a quick single. Good running!
34.2 1 Fairweather to Doyle : Doyle gets in position early for the slog sweep, but cannot get hold of it properly. Kukadiya rushes around to tidy up.
34.1 1 Fairweather to Hamilton : Oooh classy shot. Just waited on it, ran it off the face down to 3rd man for a single.
  End of over 34 (7 runs) - Winners or losers(229-4) RR 6.74
B. Doyle 3 (3b) , J. Hamilton 3 (1b) , B. Kukadiya 5-0-21-1
33.6 3 Kukadiya to Hamilton : [great fielding] Gets on the back foot and pulls that through mid wicket. Great fielding by Jennings racing around on the boundary saves one.
[COLOR="red"]33.5 W Kukadiya to Kalum : Kukadiya strikes! And a collective groan from the crowd as Kalum departs. It was nothing more than a straight ball on a length. Kalum tried to glide it to third man, but it was far too close and crashed into his pads to trap him in front.
A. Kalum lbw b. B. Kukadiya 19 (24b 1x4 0x6) SR:79.17 [/COLOR]33.4 1 Kukadiya to Doyle : Nicely played forward of square leg for one.
33.3 1 Kukadiya to Kalum : That's unlucky. Kalum played that firmly back past the bowler, but the ball struck the stumps at the non-striker's end and he'll only pick up a single.
33.2 1 Kukadiya to Doyle : Tapped away, and the batsmen steal a sharp single. Well run.
33.1 1 Kukadiya to Kalum : That one has spun and kept low, resulting in Kalum bottom edging it to fine leg. How that missed the stumps I'll never know.
  End of over 33 (8 runs) - Winners or losers(222-3) RR 6.73
B. Doyle 1 (1b) , A. Kalum 17 (21b) , L. Fairweather 5-0-32-1
32.6 1 Fairweather to Kalum : Run down to third man by Kalum for an easy single
32.5 2 Fairweather to Kalum : He's gloved it but just wide of Ali's fingertips. Two runs.
32.4 1 Fairweather to Doyle : Slower ball from Fairweather. Doyle misjudges it and spoons the drive up in the air, but it falls just short of Veer at long off.
[COLOR="Red"]32.3 W Fairweather to Mullooly : [catch] Fuller length delivery outside the off stump. Mullooly drives away from his body with no real foot-work. It looked like the bat hit the ground - hard to say if there was an edge involved.
A. Mullooly c I. Ali b. L. Fairweather 95 (81b 8x4 0x6) SR:117.28 [/COLOR]32.2 2 Fairweather to Mullooly : Short and wide, Mullooly manages to glide the ball behind square and beats the point fielder.
32.1 2 Fairweather to Mullooly : Slightly overpitched and straying onto the pads. Mullooly flicks it away for 2.
  End of over 32 (9 runs) - Winners or losers(214-2) RR 6.69
A. Kalum 14 (19b) , A. Mullooly 91 (78b) , S. Smith 8-0-56-1
31.6 . Smith to Kalum : Full and wide of off stump, Kalum flashed a drive but it spun sharply and beats him on the inside edge.
31.5 1 Smith to Mullooly : Full toss driven to deep mid-on.
[COLOR="blue"]31.4 4 Smith to Mullooly : Shot! Elegantly played in front of square leg. It pitched on leg stump and Mullooly flicked it for a boundary.[/COLOR]
31.3 2 Smith to Mullooly : That's come right off the meat of the bat and was so powerful that it went straight through the legs of Neeraj at cover. That's 2 more to the total.
31.2 1 Smith to Kalum : Driven well and despite it going straight to Neeraj, he had little chance of a run out there.
31.1 1 Smith to Mullooly : Clipped towards mid-wicket for a single.
  End of over 31 (8 runs) - Winners or losers(205-2) RR 6.61
A. Kalum 13 (17b) , A. Mullooly 83 (74b) , J. Files 8-0-65-0
30.6 2 Files to Kalum : Great shot by Kalum. He was on the back foot and just cut the ball through backward point for 2 runs.
30.5 . Files to Kalum : That one has exploded off the wicket and struck Kalum in the stomach. That's going to hurt in the morning. Files laughs as he walks back to his mark.
30.4 . Files to Kalum : Good tight bowling and Kalum gets forward to block the ball's passage.
30.3 2 Files to Kalum : Pushed away through the covers by Kalum and two runs are added to the total.
30.2 . Files to Kalum : Solid defense by Kalum! Meanwhile, in the Corporate Box a man dressed in red is enjoying a nice sandwich when another man, this time dressed in green, enters and a brown paper bag is exchanged...
30.1 4 Files to Kalum : [misfield] Looks like Jennings doesn't want to get his cricket whites dirty! A terrible attempt at a sliding save and Files gets four more added against his name.
A. Mullooly, J. Files, S. Smith are tired.

  End of over 30 (8 runs) - Winners or losers(197-2) RR 6.57
A. Mullooly 83 (74b) , A. Kalum 5 (11b) , S. Smith 7-0-47-1
[COLOR="Blue"]29.6 4 Smith to Mullooly : Mullooly backs away to leg and slaps a short delivery up and over backward square for four. He wasn't in complete control of that shot. [/COLOR]
29.5 1 Smith to Kalum : Neat little flick off the hips for 1. Nice soft hands from Kalum.
29.4 . Smith to Kalum : Smith really gave that one a mighty rip, the prodigious turn and bounce making Kalum look foolish as he missed it completely. Luckily for him it missed the stumps too.
29.3 1 Smith to Mullooly : Gently pushed towards cover, away from Neeraj for 1.
29.2 1 Smith to Kalum : Bit of flight there, and the turn catches the edge of the bat. Soft hands from Kalum and the ball squirts past slip for a single.
29.1 1 Smith to Mullooly : Flicked off the pads by Mullooly and an early call by Kalum, sees one more added to the total.
  End of over 29 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(189-2) RR 6.52
A. Kalum 3 (8b) , A. Mullooly 77 (71b) , J. Files 7-0-57-0
28.6 . Files to Kalum : [great fielding] Files dishes out a boundary ball outside off, it is full and wide, Kalum drives away from his body but Harku does well at cover to intercept it
28.5 . Files to Kalum : Flashes away at one well wide of off stump. A brain fade there, which almost cost him his wicket.
28.4 1 Files to Mullooly : Mullooly shuffles back and gets a delicate cut past the gully fieldsman. Jirongo steams around from third man and cuts off the boundary. An easy single in the end.
28.3 1 Files to Kalum : Worked to fine leg for a single.
28.2 1 Files to Mullooly : Short and he hooks it away down towards deep backward square, it falls safely short of the man in the deep and they jog a single.
28.1 2 Files to Mullooly : A regulation edge from Mullooly, but it flies through the vacant slip region, and down to third man.
  End of over 28 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(184-2) RR 6.57
A. Kalum 2 (5b) , A. Mullooly 73 (68b) , S. Smith 6-0-39-1
27.6 2 Smith to Kalum : Great shot by Kalum. He was on the back foot and just cut the ball through backward point for 2 runs.
27.5 . Smith to Kalum : Slow in the air, nice bit of drift and good turn as well. Nothing much Kalum could do about that. Well bowled.
27.4 . Smith to Kalum : Huge appeal for lbw. Full in length, on the middle stump line and straightened a touch and Kalum went for a loose drive. The bat came outside the line and the ball hit the pad. Close. Very close. Did he get an inside edge? The replays don't confirm that.
27.3 . Smith to Kalum : What a ball! It's turned out of the bowler's footmarks and fizzed through the gap between bat and pad. Ali gathers it and I can't believe that missed everything.
27.2 . Smith to Kalum : Good tight bowling and Kalum gets forward to block the ball's passage.
27.1 W Smith to Clark : [catch] Short and wide outside the off stump, Clark shuffles across and flashes hard at it. The ball clips the edge and goes straight to Ali behind the stumps.

26.5 2 Files to Mullooly : Stands tall, punching off the back foot through the covers.
26.4 . Files to Mullooly : Tidy line and length and Mullooly pushes it into the covers.
26.3 . Files to Mullooly : [great fielding] Mullooly uses the bit of width offered to rock back and cut hard to point where an excellent diving stop from Jirongo saves a run, much to the delight of the fans.
26.2 . Files to Mullooly : [great fielding] Savage bouncer from Files forces Mullooly to take evasive action. Athletically fielded by Ali saving 4 byes. Files tries to stare down Mullooly but can't help grinning.
26.1 2 Files to Mullooly : Great shot by Mullooly. He was on the back foot and just cut the ball through backward point for 2 runs.

[COLOR="blue"]25.6 4 Smith to Clark : [misfield] A poor attempt there by Jennings and a boundary is the result. [/COLOR]
25.5 2 Smith to Clark : Some lethargic running from the batsmen there turns a certain three into a two.
25.4 2 Smith to Clark : Smith bowls that one a little slower and it's punched into the off side for 2.
[COLOR="blue"]25.3 4 Smith to Clark : Crack! Right out of the middle of the bat from Clark, even Usain Bolt wouldn't have caught up to that one, four runs. [/COLOR]25.2 1 Smith to Mullooly : That's unlucky. Mullooly played that firmly back past the bowler, but the ball struck the stumps at the non-striker's end and he'll only pick up a single.

24.5 2 Files to Clark : Close! Edged wide of the keeper and the batsmen run 2.
24.4 1 Files to Mullooly : [misfield] A fumble by Kukadiya in the gully allows the batsmen to steal a single.
[COLOR="blue"]24.3 4 Files to Mullooly : Shorter ball edged deliberately over the slips. Files will need to improve his length. Excellent shot by Mullooly, four runs. [/COLOR]24.2 1 Files to Clark : Clark drops it at his feet and with a nod of the head Mullooly is off to the races. A full length dive by Mullooly sees him beat the attempted soccer from Smith. 1 run.
24.1 . Files to Clark : A well aimed yorker, but well defended by Clark.

23.6 1 Neeraj to Clark : Pushed away through extra cover for a comfortable single.
23.5 . Neeraj to Clark : Whoah, that's huge! Massive! Gigantic! But enough about the lady in the crowd, back to the cricket... dot ball.
23.4 . Neeraj to Clark : Clark chases the ball outside the off stump and misses. That was a poor shot, he was off balance and didn't get his feet into position at all.
23.3 2 Neeraj to Clark : Terrible delivery! Neeraj drops short allowing Clark time to swivel back and pull forcefully through the square leg region.
23.2 . Neeraj to Clark : Clark belts it back at Neeraj. The ball crashes into the stumps, sending the bails flying, before stopping at the base of the stumps. Very unlucky.
[COLOR="Blue"]23.1 4 Neeraj to Clark : Edged, and four! Drew Clark forward with a hint of away movement, but there was no slip, and it may not have carried anyway. All the way for four.[/COLOR]

A. Mullooly 61 (59b) , J. Clark 74 (73b) , B. Kukadiya 4-0-14-0
22.6 1 Kukadiya to Clark : Clark shuffles forward and guides the ball out to Fairweather at long on. One run.
22.5 . Kukadiya to Clark : Clark flails outside off. Huge, enthusiastic shout from Ali until he realises that no-one else is appealing, at which point he trails off and pretends it never happened.
22.4 . Kukadiya to Clark : Kukadiya and Ali appeal for lbw, it's given not out.
22.3 1 Kukadiya to Mullooly : Sumptuous cover drive by Mullooly but Veer intercepts the ball just short of the boundary rope and keeps it to one.
22.2 . Kukadiya to Mullooly : Rapped on the pads and a huge appeal, but it's turned down. Looked high from where we're sat and maybe some bat involved as well.
22.1 . Kukadiya to Mullooly : [great fielding] Kukadiya dishes out a boundary ball outside off, it is full and wide, Mullooly drives away from his body but Jirongo does well at cover to intercept it
  End of over 22 (4 runs) - Winners or losers(144-1) RR 6.55
J. Clark 73 (70b) , A. Mullooly 60 (56b) , A. Neeraj 7-0-47-1
21.6 1 Neeraj to Mullooly : Hit firmly down to long on, Jennings retrieves the ball.
21.5 3 Neeraj to Clark : A lovely on-drive pierces the infield and the batsmen cross for 3.
21.4 . Neeraj to Clark : Clark mistimes a straight drive but it falls short of Smith at mid-off.
21.3 . Neeraj to Clark : Loud shout for lbw. Neeraj pitches the ball on a good length outside off stump. Clark moves his front foot outside the line of off stump and offers no shot. He gets hit on the front pad but the umpire's finger remains down, and rightly so. Replays show that the ball wasn't coming back enough to hit the stumps. Good decision.
21.2 . Neeraj to Clark : [great fielding] Punched off the back foot to backward point where a great diving stop by Fairweather prevents the single.
21.1 . Neeraj to Clark : [great fielding] Great anticipation from Veer at backward point saves a certain four.

20.6 . Kukadiya to Mullooly : Mullooly attempts to cover drive the ball but completely misses it. A few expletives later and he seems to have composed himself.
20.5 . Kukadiya to Mullooly : Wide of off, Mullooly just lets that one go through to the keeper.
20.4 . Kukadiya to Mullooly : [great fielding] Well cut off by Jirongo moving to his right.
20.3 1 Kukadiya to Clark : Clark hits the ball cleanly to Rahman on the boundary and they jog through for one run, putting the fielder under no pressure and receiving none back. Mullooly earns the ire of the umpire though and receives a warning for running in the middle of the pitch. He'd better watch he doesn't get too many of them.
20.2 1 Kukadiya to Mullooly : Turn and bounce from outside off stump, Mullooly jumps back in his crease and works it behind square for a single.
20.1 1 Kukadiya to Clark : Paddled onto the legside.
L. Fairweather, A. Mullooly, J. Files, S. Smith, J. Clark, A. Neeraj are no longer tired.

19.6 1 Neeraj to Clark : Good delivery by Neeraj. The batsman does well to play it on the off-side and take a single.
19.5 2 Neeraj to Clark : Pitched up and wide of off stump. Clark squirts it past point and the batsmen come back for 2.
19.4 . Neeraj to Clark : [dropped] Half volley outside off stump, Clark throws the bat at it and Rahman drops it at cover! It was a hard catch, but you've got to take those opportunities.

[COLOR="blue"]19.3 4 Neeraj to Clark : Glorious shot there. If Clark were any more on fire, he would spontaneously combust. [/COLOR]19.2 2 Neeraj to Clark : [misfield] Oh no! What should have been none is now two. Terrible fielding from Files, who lets the ball get past him at mid on and the batsmen amble one, before a wild throw gives them another for the overthrow. Woeful.
19.1 1 Neeraj to Mullooly : Nudged intelligently into the gap for a leisurely single.
  End of over 19 (6 runs) - Winners or losers(127-1) RR 6.68
J. Clark 59 (58b) , A. Mullooly 57 (50b) , B. Kukadiya 2-0-9-0
18.6 . Kukadiya to Clark : Huge appeal from Kukadiya who is going quite red in the face with the effort. "Not out" says the umpire, the ball must have pitched outside leg as it would surely have hit the stumps.
18.5 2 Kukadiya to Clark : A bottom edge past Ali brings Clark a couple of runs.
18.4 2 Kukadiya to Clark : Slightly over-pitched by Kukadiya and Clark has driven that through cover for an easy two.
18.3 1 Kukadiya to Mullooly : Pushed through mid-wicket, should be an easy two here. Clark has stumbled while turning for the second and only just manages to regain his ground before Rahman's throw thumps into Ali's gloves.
18.2 . Kukadiya to Mullooly : Mullooly goes for a big, big cover drive, and it just misses the outside edge. Kukadiya glares back at Mullooly for about 5 seconds before returning to his mark.
18.1 1 Kukadiya to Clark : Good delivery by Kukadiya. The batsman does well to play it on the off-side and take a single.
  End of over 18 (14 runs) - Winners or losers(121-1) RR 6.72
A. Mullooly 56 (48b) , J. Clark 54 (54b) , A. Neeraj 5-0-33-1
17.6 2 Neeraj to Mullooly : Late cut, to the left of Kukadiya at short third man. The fielder gives chase, and cuts the ball off as the batsmen run 2.
[COLOR="blue"]17.5 4 Neeraj to Mullooly : Neeraj drops it short and Mullooly is on to it very quickly. A crashing pull shot flies past Jirongo?s despairing dive and the ball races away to the boundary. Wham bam thank you ma?am. [/COLOR]17.4 . Neeraj to Mullooly : Mullooly's eyes light up when he sees the ball pitched up outside off stump, but at the last moment, decides to check his shot. 15.5 2 Fairweather to Mullooly : Somebody should check if Mullooly has money on this game. Three runs turned into 2 thanks to some lazy running.
15.4 . Fairweather to Mullooly : That ball pitched a perfect length, trapping the batsman. It was a pity it pitched outside of leg or else Mullooly would be making a long walk back to the sheds.
15.3 . Fairweather to Mullooly : [great fielding] An otherwise certain boundary is saved by Smith at short leg, who sticks out a leg and takes a painful blow for the team. Fairweather applauds. Smith merely raises an eyebrow and calls to the pavilion for shin pads.
15.2 3 Fairweather to Clark : Driven down to wide long on. Jennings has a bit of ground to cover here. Luckily for him, the outfield is quite slow, or that would surely have been four. As it is, the batsmen have run a very comfortable three.
15.1 . Fairweather to Clark : Short and wide from Fairweather. The umpire doesn't move a muscle, no wide called. Clark and Mullooly look at the umpire in amazement.

14.5 . Smith to Mullooly : Big front foot from Mullooly is planted solidly down the pitch alongside the full face of his bat, shame the ball flew past the edge some time ago and is resting in Ali`s gloves. No run!
14.4 . Smith to Mullooly : A touch short from Smith. He needs to bowl a little fuller if he wants to trouble Mullooly.
[COLOR="Blue"]14.3 4 Smith to Mullooly : Drives airily outside off drive and ends up taking a thick edge through the empty slip cordon for four. Smith is rightly crest-fallen. [/COLOR]
14.2 1 Smith to Clark : And we're going upstairs. A flat throw from Rahman at point lands right over the stumps, and Ali smartly takes off the bails. Replays have shown that Mullooly was home by inches, not out.

11.5 . Fairweather to Mullooly : That clipped the top of the pad on it's way to the keeper. A half hearted appeal is turned down by the umpire.

10.4 1 Smith to Clark : Driven gently down to Kukadiya at long off for an easy single.
10.3 1 Smith to Mullooly : Slow and flighted delivery from Smith. The ball lands slightly short outside leg stump and turns out of the rough nearly taking out off-stump. Mullooly thinks quickly and nudges the ball to third-man. Clark asks for the second run but is sent back.
10.2 . Smith to Mullooly : Smith flights that one teasingly, Mullooly dances down the pitch and almost yorks himself. He ends up just dropping the bat on it defensively and retreating back to his crease.

9.4 2 Fairweather to Clark : Too full from Fairweather. Clark simply leans into it and punches the delivery to long on with exceptional timing.
9.3 . Fairweather to Clark : Good length ball on off stump, driven on the up towards cover who throws the ball back to a chirping Ali.
9.2 3 Fairweather to Mullooly : Fairweather finds the edge of Mullooly's bat and the ball flies through the vacant second slip area. Smith gives chase from first slip, collects the ball and returns it quickly but not before the batsmen have run three.

8.3 . Smith to Clark : Huge appeal for lbw. Full in length, on the middle stump line and straightened a touch and Clark went for a loose drive. The bat came outside the line and the ball hit the pad. Close. Very close. Did he get an inside edge? The replays don't confirm that.
8.2 . Smith to Clark : [great fielding] A spanking cover drive, but swallowed up by a diving Kukadiya. No runs there and Clark grimaces in frustration.

6.4 . Neeraj to Mullooly : Someone needs to tell Mullooly that it's a cricket bat, not an axe. Swipes at a wide one with a very closed face, lucky to have missed it. Ali's definitely giving him some stick over that shot.
6.3 . Neeraj to Mullooly : [great fielding] No run, flicked to mid-wicket and some excellent fielding by Veer saves any runs they might have got.

4.3 . Neeraj to Mullooly : Just short of a length outside off, and it's left alone by Mullooly.
4.2 . Neeraj to Mullooly : Mullooly struck on his front pad while not offering a shot. Umpire says not out, but Neeraj is convinced it was going to knock back off stump. Replays show that the ball would have gone over the top. Good decision.

3.3 1 Files to Chopra : Moved forward confidently to drive the ball into the covers.

4.1 . Ayub to Smith : [great fielding] Savage bouncer from Ayub forces Smith to take evasive action. Athletically fielded by Mullooly saving 4 byes. Ayub tries to stare down Smith but can't help grinning.
[COLOR="Blue"]4.2 4 Ayub to Smith : Four runs to the vacant fine leg boundary. [/COLOR]
4.3 . Ayub to Smith : Struck firmly back to the bowler who fields in his follow through.
4.4 . Ayub to Smith : Good ball just outside off stump. Smith leaves.
4.5 . Ayub to Smith : Smith gets right in behind the line there and defends into the covers. That certainly puts the solid in consolidation.
4.6 . Ayub to Smith : That was a close shave. The ball pitched on a perfect line and length and jagged back in off the seam. Smith elected to leave it, with the ball missing the stumps by mere inches.

5.1 . Eime to Harku : Harku plays and misses nervously outside off.
5.2 . Eime to Harku : Straight ball from Eime and it rises off a length and tucks the batsman up. The ball raps Harku on the thigh. Good ball!
5.3 . Eime to Harku : Back of a length, he tries to work it away but can only find mid wicket.
5.4 1 Eime to Harku : Harku goes for the pull shot, but it's not short enough to do that and he gets a bottom edge away to Castles at fine leg.
5.5 . Eime to Smith : That's pitched short and it rears up like an angry stallion catching Smith on the helmet! Good aggressive bowling from Eime.
5.6 1 Eime to Smith : A lacklustre ball and a rather lazy shot, Smith attempting the pull but not really connecting. Sedate running completes this unspectacular passage of play.

6.1 . Ayub to Smith : A peach of a delivery. Beautiful seam position. The ball hits the deck and jags away, squaring the batsman up. Ayub looks to the heavens.
6.2 . Ayub to Smith : My sources tell me that the first box was used in 1874 but it wasn't until 1974 that the first helmet was used. Smith will certainly be thankful for the former after that ball - and with the way Ayub is bowling he'll probably have cause to appreciate the latter soon too! That was a nasty blow!
6.3 . Ayub to Smith : Great ball! On a length and a hint of swing, it bursts off the pitch and beats Smith's leaden footed prod.
6.4 3 Ayub to Smith : Smith's waited well on it and has unleashed a beautiful late cut, beating Solway at backward point and picking up 3 vital runs.
6.5 . Ayub to Harku : What a ball from Ayub! It has pitched on leg and ended up about 5cm away from off. Harku had no idea about that.
[COLOR="red"]6.6 W Ayub to Harku : Gone! Edged onto the stumps and bowled. Terrible shot by Harku there. Ayub is ecstatic with that wicket!

7.1 . Eime to Smith : The ball is short and at the body. Smith cannot move out of the line in time and takes a nasty blow to the shoulder. Hamilton runs in from square leg and removes any thoughts the batsman may have had of taking a single.
7.2 . Eime to Smith : Good length ball on off stump, driven on the up towards cover who throws the ball back to a chirping Mullooly.
7.3 . Eime to Smith : The game is delayed as a dachshund is running loose in the outfield. And you can tell he's a fast bowler because he's got four short legs and his balls are swinging both ways. Eime eventually bowls, and it's left alone by Smith.
7.4 . Eime to Smith : A good ball just short of a length from Eime and Smith was wise to let that one go through.
[COLOR="Red"]7.5 W Eime to Smith : [catch] Eime gets the edge. Smith slams his bat into his pads and stomps off to the dressing room.

8.1 . Hamilton to Ali : [great fielding] A good diving stop by Yeates at square leg prevents any runs and keeps the pressure on Ali.
8.2 . Hamilton to Ali : Ali goes for a big, big cover drive, and it just misses the outside edge. Hamilton glares back at Ali for about 5 seconds before returning to his mark.
8.3 . Hamilton to Ali : Magnificent piece of bowling from Hamilton! Veer is smiling; he knows that the best way to face any half-decent bowler is from the other end.
8.4 . Hamilton to Ali : Quicker ball, Ali is surprised there, he manages to leave alone and the ball zips past the off stump with some menace. Mullooly collects.
8.5 nb1 Hamilton to Ali : Ali gets forward and pushes it just wide of mid-off. One run taken.
8.5 . Hamilton to Veer : Dot ball. Great delivery from Hamilton who follows through and picks up the ball and immediately throws it back towards Mullooly but it hits Veer on the helmet! Words are exchanged, Veer is furious! Spicy stuff!
8.6 . Hamilton to Veer : Struck on the pads, Hamilton pleads, then shouts, then bellows, but the umpire remains stonefaced. Looked to be going down leg, but replays show otherwise.

9.1 . Chopra to Ali : A supporter yells 'Come on, we want some action!' as Ali pushes the ball into the ground.
9.2 2 Chopra to Ali : Ali has gone back to cut a delivery that wasn't really there to do so, as a result the ball takes the bottom edge, somehow avoids the stumps, and Ali collects runs. He doesn't miss out on the opportunity to give Chopra a cheeky smirk, either.
9.3 . Chopra to Ali : Lovely defensive shot from Ali straight into the ground. Wonderful technique.
9.4 3 Chopra to Ali : [misfield] Outside off stump, slashed away to third man by Ali. Eime's wild throw goes over the head of Mullooly.
9.5 . Chopra to Veer : Good line and good length. Veer gives it the respect it deserves and leaves it for the keeper.
9.6 . Chopra to Veer : Ali can thank his lucky stars! Veer drove firmly back up the wicket and Chopra got a finger on it and diverted it mere whiskers away from the stumps with Ali a long way from safety.

10.2 . Hamilton to Ali : Rapped on the pads and a huge appeal, but it's turned down. Looked high from where we're sat and maybe some bat involved as well.

10.5 lb4 Hamilton to Ali : Outside leg stump, clips the pad as he tries the flick and evades Mullooly too.

11.2 . Chopra to Ali : Quick delivery that skids off the pitch. Ali plays a cross-batted shot and misses. A moral victory for Chopra.
11.3 . Chopra to Ali : A beauty, only just going over the stumps. Ali had no idea.
11.4 1 Chopra to Ali : Late cut onto the practice pitch clears the man at backward point. May have had two runs there if they pushed themselves. Hamilton at third man cleans up.

12.2 1 Hamilton to Veer : Pushed back at the bowler who over runs it and, thanks to good calling by Ali, the batsmen get a single.
12.3 . Hamilton to Ali : Mullooly thinks he's got Ali stumped, he's gone absolutely ballistic - but Ali's back foot was well in. Maybe Mullooly was just happy he caught it.
12.4 . Hamilton to Ali : Hamilton round the wicket to Ali, altering the angle of delivery and giving him something extra to think about.
12.5 . Hamilton to Ali : Excellent delivery, pitching short and seaming away from Ali. Squares him up like a Rubik's Cube!

13.2 . Chopra to Veer : That one has pitched in the corridor of uncertainty. Veer wants nothing to do with it.
13.3 2 Chopra to Veer : A bottom edge past Mullooly brings Veer a couple of runs.
13.4 1 Chopra to Veer : Veer flicks that comfortably off his pads for an easy single.
13.5 1 Chopra to Ali : With the field deep, these runs are always easy to get. Nothing Chopra can do really as Ali plays a comfortable shot and makes a comfortable run.
13.6 . Chopra to Veer : Veer shaped to drive that, but thought better of it at the last moment and allowed it to go through to the keeper.

15.2 . Chopra to Veer : On a length outside off, Veer attempts to run it down to third man with a delicate dab, but is beaten off the pitch. Can't help but feel he was trying to be too cute there.
15.3 . Chopra to Veer : Veer goes back and slashes hard outside off, but fails to make contact. He leans on his bat and looks to the heavens, not sure whether he's praying or checking the weather.
15.4 . Chopra to Veer : That clipped the top of the pad on it's way to the keeper. A half hearted appeal is turned down by the umpire.
15.5 2 Chopra to Veer : Veer gets some width and cuts it into the ground. One bounce and just wide of point, Kalum does the fielding and keeps them to 2.

17.2 2 Ayub to Neeraj : Short ball, hooked away by Neeraj. Castles cuts it off just inside the rope, and the batsmen run 2.
17.3 . Ayub to Neeraj : Ayub beats Neeraj for pace. But the main story here is Mullooly who looks to have copped a blow in the...uh...'area'. He's down on the ground in pain and everyone else is on the ground in laughter!
17.4 . Ayub to Neeraj : Good length delivery on the off. Neeraj comes on to the front foot and defends it. No run.
17.5 . Ayub to Neeraj : Neeraj flails outside off. Huge, enthusiastic shout from Mullooly until he realises that no-one else is appealing, at which point he trails off and pretends it never happened.

18.2 . Castles to Neeraj : A good length ball on off-stump, Neeraj gets back and defends it to the bowler.
18.3 . Castles to Neeraj : Castles pushes this one wide of off stump, Neeraj fishes at it and is fortunate not to have tickled it through to Mullooly.
18.4 . Castles to Neeraj : [dropped] Half volley outside off stump, Neeraj throws the bat at it and Hamilton drops it at cover! It was a hard catch, but you've got to take those opportunities.
18.5 b Castles to Neeraj : Left alone by Neeraj and a regulation take by the keeper is somehow bungled, and the batsmen scamper through for 1. Poor wicket-keeping.

20.2 . Castles to Veer : A big heave from Veer; a scare as Mullooly takes the bails off just out of habit. Lucky there for Veer.
20.3 . Castles to Veer : Great ball from Castles hits the seam and causes Veer to play and miss outside the off stump. Lucky not to edge that one. No run.
20.4 . Castles to Veer : Castles trundles in, bowls that one well wide of the off-stump, Veer shoulders arms and allows it sail through harmlessly to Mullooly who collects it cleanly, yawns, gives his groin a scratch and tosses it back to the bowler. I think it may be time for another cup of coffee.
20.5 1 Castles to Veer : Veer takes a big stride forward and opens the face of the bat while defending to just guide the ball wide of 2nd slip and moves off for a single. Clever batting.

22.3 . Castles to Veer : Castles the landlord is owning the pitch at the moment. Very little Veer could have done there. Wisely drops his bat and listens to the swooooosh of the breeze go past him. Mullooly claps in appreciation.
22.4 1 Castles to Veer : Pitched up and Veer drives, but the ball takes the outside edge and flies low to 2nd slip. Luckily for the batsman there is no one there and he picks up a single.
22.5 1 Castles to Jirongo : [Accumulator] Tidy line and length and Jirongo pushes it into the covers.

23.2 1 Ayub to Jirongo : [Accumulator] Tickled down to fine leg where the ball is collected and returned to Mullooly.
23.3 2 Ayub to Veer : [misfield] A bit wide outside off, Veer opens the face to steer it to third man where a misfield from Eime allows the batsmen an extra run.
23.4 . Ayub to Veer : Good ball, pitches on off and jags back into him. Muted appeal, but that was always going down the leg side.
23.5 . Ayub to Veer : Veer's eyes light up when he sees the ball pitched up outside off stump, but at the last moment, decides to check his shot. The ball pops into the air, but safe from any fielders.

24.2 . Eime to Jirongo : Snorter! Pitched on middle and moved away, beating the defensive prod from Jirongo, who stands there bearing the look of a man doing a particularly difficult Sudoku.
24.3 2 Eime to Jirongo : [misfield] Oh no! What should have been none is now two. Terrible fielding from Doyle, who lets the ball get past him at mid on and the batsmen amble one, before a wild throw gives them another for the overthrow. Woeful.
24.4 . Eime to Jirongo : [great fielding] Cut fiercely, but an excellent stop by Doyle at point saves four.
24.5 . Eime to Jirongo : Swing and miss, Jirongo getting a bit too adventurous now.

25.2 2 Hamilton to Jirongo : [Accumulator] Dragged down by Hamilton, Jirongo waits on the back foot and punches it away for 2.
25.3 wd Hamilton to Jirongo : That's missed the leg stump by a coat of varnish, but the umpire has got his arms outstretched. Don't get me started about that rule!
25.3 . Hamilton to Jirongo : [great fielding] Sweetly timed by Jirongo and it had four written all over it, before Solway dives kamikaze style and stops with what appears to be his forehead. Solway looks unfazed and there's smiles all around, that's good old fashioned dedication for you!
25.4 nb Hamilton to Jirongo : A bit of movement, but it's too wide and Jirongo sensibly lets it go through. Hamilton will need a better line than that to get the batsman playing his shots.

Jirongo kicks the turf to vent his anger for missing his chance to score a easy boundary there.
25.6 . Hamilton to Jirongo : Jirongo chases the ball outside the off stump and misses. That was a poor shot, he was off balance and didn't get his feet into position at all.

26.2 . Eime to Files : Files gets on top of the bounce and crashes the ball out towards point. Sadly all style and not enough substance on that occasion.
26.3 . Eime to Files : And our cameraman has just focused in on that gorgeous lady in the crowd with the most revealing top. I'll have two of those! Uhh, the beers she's got in her hands I mean! Umm.. Dot ball as Files leaves it.
26.4 . Eime to Files : Eime pitches it in the corridor outside off and has Files fishing outside the off stump.
[COLOR="Red"]26.5 W Eime to Files : [catch] Who said you had to bowl good balls to get wickets? Eime slipped in his delivery, and the ball lost all its pace there. Files had time to have a cup of tea before he hit that, but still managed to pick out Castles, who was the only man inside the circle on the onside. That was a comedy of errors all round.

We now go to the prestnation and I have the losing captain here.

Flies: Hey

Matt121: What happend?

Flies: Our batting was shocking on the day

Matt121: Who could of improve?

Flies: The batters should of played defence and to try to stay there for the full 40 overs and our bowlers could of be defence

Matt121: Now, we go to the winning captain of Ayub

Ayub: Perfect day for us

Matt121: Really?

Ayub: Our batting and bowling was destructive

Matt121: Was you not happy with Clark and Mullooly scoring 90s?

Ayub: I'm ok with that but I would of love at least a 100

Matt121: Time for the Man of the Match award and it goes too John Clark.

Clark: Thanks

Matt121: Would you love too have a 100?

Clark: I really wanted a 100, but at least were through to the Semis

Matt121: Here is 2,000 dollars for the MOTM. Now I will bring back Kaisar Ayub back to the stage for a talk about the Semi Final against Black Cobas

Ayub: Yeah

Matt121: So the first semi-final match is in with you taking on Black Cobas.

Ayub: That is good, that means our team has to take on an Indian team

Matt121: You only need to win your Semi Final game to have the pavilion membership.

Ayub: I'll already know that

Chapter 6A (Squads Annouced)
The squads for the 5 over cup warm ups have been annouced with the captains being the wicketkeepers. It was a massive surprise for the Senior Squad, because Nathan Sarovich got a called up then the more fancy Gadil Haimd. The youth squad was a easy to choose from, with the 11 people chosen in their right spots for the youths. Winners or losers will also send a mixed team into the warm-ups for 5 over league with 6 seniors and 6 youths making the squad up. To qualfie, they had to play 10 matches in seniors or youths or both to get in.

Winners or losers (Week 9)
Multiple Scoregasm vs. Winners or losers (T20 6.1)
In a tough match for the senior team, it was only one batsman that hit the flat pitch and it was Frank Folkard which scored 122 from only 62 balls but it wasn't enough as his team lost. Rick Brookes could of made 100, but he ran out of runs as he fell 5 runs short of the centruy. For the Winners or losers, they stay in second spot after MadDogs won their match by 8 wickets

LionsXI CC vs. Winners or Losers (Youth 5.3)
It was great batting display from the top 3 batsman as Gaurav Chopra showed that he can get a spot in the senior team by scoring 150 not out in a comfertable win for the youth team. Gaurav Chopra was the best player on the day because not only he scored 150 but also took 3 wickets to help the team winning by 94 runs. With that win, it keeps the youth team on top of the ladder with 5 matches to go

Mongoose XI vs. Winners or Losers (OD 6.20)
In a another good week for the team , they wrapped their way into a chance of winning. Zane Thorn showed his way of bowling by taking 4 wickets as the Mongoose XI was bowled for just 124. Gadil Hamid finished the match as nearly scored half the runs in a easy win for the team. That means the Winners or Losers will have to take on the top team in the league after Durantpookas won his match against myteam.

In other news the youth team suffered a lost after losing to the South Side Panthers by 5 wickets which isn't good prepartion for the Semi Final in the kids till the end competition. Other then that it's good bye for now.

I have read all post, and I must say this definitely has been the underdog story. You have kept posting the updates and I definitely follow it, whether I comment or not

More graphics will attract the readers. I liked your updates till now even if no one is commenting, you're posting the updates. Will continue to read, KIU! :clap

Thanks. Just a question, Is this the most posts by an FTP story?

Winners or losers vs. Black Cobas (kids till the end SF)
In a tight match which nearly a string or 1 wicket difference as the semi final in kids the till end was a tied match.

In a bowlers pitch and it was Black Cobas that won the toss and elected to bat. Once the game started it was slow going as the Winners or losers were playing steady and trying not lose their wicket. Then Black Cobas keeper struggled as he gave 4 of the 6 byes that he gave to my youth team in the first 4 overs. J. Clark and A. Kalum kept the run-rate flowing as 4 more extras came from the bowling of W. Terry. Extras were coming fast as the Black Cobas bowling contined to trouble the batters which featured a brillant bowl from N. Green to nearly taking J. Clark's wicket.

Then finally after 14 overs and 4 balls in and the first bounarie from the bat came as J. Clark smacked a bouncer to hit the 50 partnership before A. Kalum fell from a straight in the air catch by W. Beagley as the first wicket fell for just 55. It was shortlived as Sujan dropped a sitter as the partnership between J. Clark and K. Ayub strengthed.

The Winners or losers were have luck on their side as the ball came into the stumps with the umpire saying not out when it was cleary out. It didn't matter as a wicket finally came from the Black Cobras as an John Clark was out 4 runs short of his half-centruy as he was lbw for 46.

Andrew Mullooly wasn't at his best as he only scored 13 adter the previous bowl went for 4 runs as the important run-rate was between 3.00 and 3.99 with a couple of overs late in the innings taking the run-rate up to 4 an over but wickets kept falling as the final score for the Winners or losers was 6/174 at the end of the 40 overs.

Code:
0.1 . Green to Clark : Green trundles in, bowls that one well wide of the off-stump, Clark shoulders arms and allows it sail through harmlessly to Khan who collects it cleanly, yawns, gives his groin a scratch and tosses it back to the bowler. I think it may be time for another cup of coffee.
0.2 . Green to Clark : Clark nails this one straight to the well-placed Shazada at extra cover. No run.
0.3 . Green to Clark : Clark gropes for that outside off stump without really moving his feet.
0.4 1 Green to Clark : Good solid stroke from Clark, is fielded well by Otieno, who keeps it down to 1.
0.5 . Green to Kalum : Kalum has a jab at that outside the off stump without moving his feet and he misses it completely.
0.6 1 Green to Kalum : Classy, a deft touch by Kalum into the gap and an easy single is the result.
 End of over 1 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(2-0) RR 2.00
J. Clark 1 (4b), A. Kalum 1 (2b) , N. Green 1-0-2-0

1.1 . Picker to Kalum : Kalum smashes that straight into the ground. It bounces up and is beautifully plucked out of the sky by the outstretched arm of Green. Superb fielding saves a certain four.
1.2 b4 Picker to Kalum : Khan has completely missed that and it runs down to the boundary.
1.3 . Picker to Kalum : Kalum not interested in that delivery and he lets it go through to Khan.
1.4 1 Picker to Kalum : Flicked off the pads by Kalum and an early call by Clark, sees one more added to the total.
1.5 . Picker to Clark : [great fielding] Clark hit that right out of the middle and only a great stop from Otieno prevented the boundary.
1.6 . Picker to Clark : Full and on the stumps. The bat gets behind the ball to block it away.
End of over 2 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(7-0) RR 3.50
J. Clark 1 (6b), A. Kalum 2 (6b) , E. Picker 1-0-1-0

2.1 . Green to Kalum : Back of a length, but Kalum can't work it away. His attempted nurdle picks out Mahmood at short third man.
2.2 1 Green to Kalum : Driven well and despite it going straight to Picker, he had little chance of a run out there.
2.3 . Green to Clark : Short and wide. Clark slashes hard, but hits it straight to Picker at gully on the bounce. No run.
2.4 1 Green to Clark : Clark just pushes it into the off-side and takes off immediately. Kalum anticipates and they run a quick single.
2.5 . Green to Kalum : Kalum's eyes light up when he sees the ball pitched up outside off stump, but at the last moment, decides to check his shot. The ball pops into the air, but safe from any fielders.
2.6 . Green to Kalum : Green pitches that full on off and middle and gets it to cut back in with the angle, Kalum gets a big stride forward and meets the ball off the base of the pad, Green appeals and the umpire shakes his head. Maybe height was an issue?
End of over 3 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(9-0) RR 3.00
A. Kalum 3 (10b), J. Clark 2 (8b) , N. Green 2-0-4-0

3.1 . Picker to Clark : A bit of movement, but it's too wide and Clark sensibly lets it go through. Picker will need a better line than that to get the batsman playing his shots.
3.2 . Picker to Clark : Picker pitches it outside off and Clark offers no shot as it cannons into his pads, Picker appeals and the batsmen run. The umpire turns them both down and everyone returns to their original places.
3.3 b2 Picker to Clark : Hits a rough patch in the pitch and flies off, Khan struggles to stop it and this'll be byes.
3.4 1 Picker to Clark : It's a full toss, but the batsman is caught off guard, and is unable to time it cleanly. Single is the result.
3.5 . Picker to Kalum : What a gem of a delivery by Picker! Swung in, then seamed away from Kalum and completely beat him all ends up. Did everything except get the edge.
3.6 . Picker to Kalum : The slow hand clap emanating from the outer lets Kalum know what the crowd think of his cautious approach as he lets the ball go through to Khan.
End of over 4 (3 runs) - Winners or losers(12-0) RR 3.00
A. Kalum 3 (12b), J. Clark 3 (12b) , E. Picker 2-0-2-0

4.1 1 Terry to Clark : [Slower Ball] Nice back of the hand slower ball there from Terry, but Clark reads it and taps it down the ground for a single.
4.2 . Terry to Kalum : Terry and Khan appeal for lbw, it's given not out.
4.3 . Terry to Kalum : [great fielding] Shazada will surely be leading the fielding drills next week after that wonderful effort.
4.4 1 Terry to Kalum : Short and wide outside off stump, Kalum chops it away through point for a single.
4.5 . Terry to Clark : Good ball! Terry pitches in line on a good length. Clark plays forward to it and is trapped in front. The whole cordon go up, but the appeal is denied because Clark was too far forward.
4.6 1 Terry to Clark : Tucked around the corner by Clark and Kalum calls him through for a quick single. Good running!
End of over 5 (3 runs) - Winners or losers(15-0) RR 3.00
A. Kalum 4 (15b), J. Clark 5 (15b) , W. Terry 1-0-3-0

5.1 2 Picker to Clark : Paddled onto the legside.
5.2 1 Picker to Clark : Bowled full on the off, eased through the gap between cover and cover point for a single.
5.3 1 Picker to Kalum : Short ball down leg, Kalum flicks it effortlessly down to fine-leg for a single.
5.4 . Picker to Clark : [great fielding] An athletic dive from Lewis has stopped what would have been a boundary.
5.5 . Picker to Clark : A firm stroke straight to mid-on
5.6 1 Picker to Clark : A straight ball on a good length, Clark turns the ball to the leg side and takes off for a run. Mahmood reacts slowly and can't prevent them taking a single.
End of over 6 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(20-0) RR 3.33
A. Kalum 5 (16b), J. Clark 9 (20b) , E. Picker 3-0-7-0

6.1 . Terry to Clark : Clark lets that go through to Khan. Lewis asks Clark if he even saw it.
6.2 . Terry to Clark : That's a jaffer from Terry. Pitches on off and seams away, beating the outside edge. Clark wasn't good enough to nick that one, but then who would be?
6.3 . Terry to Clark : [great fielding] Outstanding work by Lewis! That was short and smashed away behind square, but his quick reactions at backward point save a certain (and deserved) boundary. Terry rightly applauds his teammate's effort.
6.4 1 Terry to Clark : Wristy from Clark, 1 run into the leg side.
6.5 . Terry to Kalum : Fizzed in and Kalum has to adjust quickly to defend back to the bowler.
6.6 . Terry to Kalum : The batsman throws everything at that one but fails to connect.
End of over 7 (1 run) - Winners or losers(21-0) RR 3.00
A. Kalum 5 (18b), J. Clark 10 (24b) , W. Terry 2-0-4-0

7.1 1 Picker to Clark : Wristy from Clark, 1 run into the leg side.
7.2 2 Picker to Kalum : Fuller ball from Picker, Kalum drives solidly but doesn't get the connection he wanted and Lewis chases it down a fair way short of the rope.
7.3 . Picker to Kalum : Pitched up on a good length by Picker. Kalum looks like he is going to swing at it but he hesitates and the ball goes past the edge of his bat.
7.4 . Picker to Kalum : [dropped] Khan is furious with himself for missing a relatively straight-forward edge behind. Picker is somewhat less pleased.
7.5 . Picker to Kalum : That is a ripper from Picker! Nipping back off the seam and cutting Kalum in half like a chainsaw through a log!
7.6 . Picker to Kalum : An elegant cover drive but he fails to pierce the field.
End of over 8 (3 runs) - Winners or losers(24-0) RR 3.00
A. Kalum 7 (23b), J. Clark 11 (25b) , E. Picker 4-0-10-0

8.1 nb4 Terry to Clark : Mmm, I like it - silky drive through the leg side from Clark as Terry over-pitches onto middle and leg.
8.1 . Terry to Clark : A good ball just short of a length from Terry and Clark was wise to let that one go through.
8.2 . Terry to Clark : A slight inward movement takes the ball past Clark's bat, brushes his pad on the way to the keeper, who is convinced that's out, but replays show it's a good decision by the umpire.
8.3 . Terry to Clark : Wide and short and Terry is lucky to get away with that. Clark looks to cut and gets a thick under-edge that bounces through to the keeper.
8.4 . Terry to Clark : Short of a length and climbing into the midriff. Clark gets behind the line and defends impeccably.
8.5 . Terry to Clark : Huge appeal for lbw. Full in length, on the middle stump line and straightened a touch and Clark went for a loose drive. The bat came outside the line and the ball hit the pad. Close. Very close. Did he get an inside edge? The replays don't confirm that.
8.6 1 Terry to Clark : Wonderful display of running there. Clark has just dropped the ball at his feet and they have picked up a single.
End of over 9 (6 runs) - Winners or losers(30-0) RR 3.33
A. Kalum 7 (23b), J. Clark 16 (32b) , W. Terry 3-0-10-0

9.1 1 Green to Clark : Nicely played behind square leg for a single.
9.2 1 Green to Kalum : Sensible cricket by Kalum. A full pitched ball and he's just knocked it back past Green. Mid-off runs round to cut it off but the batsmen pick up 1. 9.3 . Green to Clark : A big swing and he's lucky there's no edge. Green raises his hands to his head and sports a wry smile. It carries through easily to Khan and there's no shortage of "ooohs" from the fielding team.
9.4 . Green to Clark : Signs of frustration creeping in from Clark, he does like to get on with it, but he can't quite get that one away as he attempts to work it off his hips.
9.5 . Green to Clark : Back of a length and defended to the off side.
9.6 . Green to Clark : What a gem of a delivery by Green! Swung in, then seamed away from Clark and completely beat him all ends up. Did everything except get the edge.
End of over 10 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(32-0) RR 3.20
J. Clark 17 (37b), A. Kalum 8 (24b) , N. Green 3-0-6-0

10.1 3 Terry to Kalum : Short ball, hooked away by Kalum. Mahmood cuts it off just inside the rope, and the batsmen run 3.
10.2 1 Terry to Clark : Short ball and hooked straight to the man in the deep. Good fielding keeps the batsmen down to just a single.
10.3 . Terry to Kalum : Terry continues firing it in from wide of the crease, this one bends in a little more and catches Kalum on the hips.
10.4 lb Terry to Kalum : That ball has cannoned into the pads. The fielding side appeal in vain, whilst Clark is alert and they'll pick up a single.
10.5 . Terry to Clark : [great fielding] Beagley will surely be leading the fielding drills next week after that wonderful effort.
10.6 . Terry to Clark : Well left by Clark. Dot ball.
End of over 11 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(37-0) RR 3.36
J. Clark 18 (40b), A. Kalum 11 (27b) , W. Terry 4-0-14-0

11.1 1 Green to Kalum : Short ball hooked for a single.
11.2 . Green to Clark : That's a cracking delivery from Green, and Clark just manages to fend it off. Picker claps and encourages Green.
11.3 2 Green to Clark : Clark backs away and late cuts it over the slips! Beagley fields the ball at third man as the batsmen come back for two.
11.4 . Green to Clark : Patted gently out towards Terry at mid off for a dot ball.
11.5 1 Green to Clark : Good length and line from Green, but Clark manages to tickle the ball down to fine leg for 1 run.
11.6 . Green to Kalum : Kalum tries to pull the short ball, but the ball goes past everything into the hands of Khan.
End of over 12 (4 runs) - Winners or losers(41-0) RR 3.42
A. Kalum 12 (29b), J. Clark 21 (44b) , N. Green 4-0-10-0

12.1 nb1 Picker to Clark : Clark on-drives Picker for a single, and the pair exchange a few words as Clark reaches the bowler's end. Keep your eye on that one, these two can both get a bit feisty.
12.1 . Picker to Kalum : A slight inward movement takes the ball past Kalum's bat, brushes his pad on the way to the keeper, who is convinced that's out, but replays show it's a good decision by the umpire.
12.2 nb1 Picker to Kalum : Short and wide, Kalum manages to glide the ball behind square and beats the point fielder.
12.2 . Picker to Clark : Picker pushes this one wide of off stump, Clark fishes at it and is fortunate not to have tickled it through to Khan.
12.3 . Picker to Clark : Picker pitches that full on off and middle and gets it to cut back in with the angle, Clark gets a big stride forward and meets the ball off the base of the pad, Picker appeals and the umpire shakes his head. Maybe height was an issue?
12.4 1 Picker to Clark : Clark's eyes light up when he sees the ball pitched up outside off stump, but at the last moment, decides to check his shot. The ball pops into the air, but safe from any fielders.
12.5 1 Picker to Kalum : Kalum drops it at his feet and with a nod of the head Clark is off to the races. A full length dive by Clark sees him beat the attempted soccer from Lewis. 1 run.
12.6 . Picker to Clark : Clark wafts at that one and is lucky not to get an edge.
End of over 13 (6 runs) - Winners or losers(47-0) RR 3.62
J. Clark 23 (49b), A. Kalum 14 (32b) , E. Picker 5-0-16-0

13.1 . Terry to Kalum : Sensibly left by Kalum. A ball that good needs to be shown respect.
13.2 lb Terry to Kalum : The ball strikes the batsman in line, and the fielding team go up, with a huuuuge appeal. The umpire wants nothing to do with it. Meanwhile, the batsmen have stolen a single. Leg byes signalled. I'm keen to see the replay on this one.
13.3 . Terry to Clark : Terry is making the ball talk, but Clark doesn't understand the language. Perhaps he needs an interpreter.
13.4 1 Terry to Clark : Worked to fine leg for a single.
13.5 . Terry to Kalum : Driven solidly to mid on. Good shot, but no runs.
13.6 . Terry to Kalum : It's a bird, no really, it's a bird. A thrush I think. Thrilling cricket by the way here, a dot ball.
End of over 14 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(49-0) RR 3.50
A. Kalum 14 (36b), J. Clark 24 (51b) , W. Terry 5-0-15-0

14.1 . Picker to Clark : In the zone outside off stump, Clark lets that one go through to Khan.
14.2 . Picker to Clark : A big appeal from Picker, but it hit outside the line.
14.3 . Picker to Clark : Clark wafts at that one and is lucky not to get an edge.
14.4 6 Picker to Clark : Bouncer, hooked all the way to the fence. Six runs!
That is the 50 partnership (55 runs, 91b, 1x4, 1x6) SR:60.44
14.5 . Picker to Clark : Lovely cover drive but its straight to the fielder and no run is scored.
14.6 . Picker to Clark : Great ball! On a length and a hint of swing, it bursts off the pitch and beats Clark's leaden footed prod.
End of over 15 (6 runs) - Winners or losers(55-0) RR 3.67
J. Clark 30 (57b), A. Kalum 14 (36b) , E. Picker 6-0-22-0

15.1 W Terry to Kalum : [catch] Kalum has come down the track and tried to hoist that over long on's head, but instead it has gone straight up! Beagley has called for it and takes the catch with ease.
A. Kalum c W. Beagley b. W. Terry 14 (37b 0x4 0x6) SR:37.84

15.2 3 Terry to Ayub : Ayub hasn't quite timed that one and it's a long chase for Lewis from the covers. A great throw from the boundary but he can't stop Ayub picking up three runs there.
15.3 . Terry to Clark : Clark plays a solid defensive stroke which rolls along the floor to Lewis at cover. No run scored.
15.4 . Terry to Clark : The ball hits a crack on the pitch, and bounces up hitting Clark on the gloves. That one is sure to hurt, but Clark is keen not to show any pain on his face. 15.5 . Terry to Clark : Excellent delivery, pitching short and seaming away from Clark. Squares him up like a Rubik's Cube!
15.6 1 Terry to Clark : Clark flicks that comfortably off his pads for an easy single.

16.1 1 Green to Clark : Angles it from wide of the crease and Clark gets some wood on it as he gets forward to defend. The ball takes the outside edge and trickles past third slip and down to third man for a single.
16.2 . Green to Ayub : Cricket in its purest form. Green sent down an absolute cracker of a delivery, hitting a perfect length and deviating just enough to miss the outside edge and the fielders are distraught that there wasn't a wicket there.
16.3 . Green to Ayub : Green continues firing it in from wide of the crease, this one bends in a little more and catches Ayub on the hips.
16.4 . Green to Ayub : [dropped] In the air straight to mid-on and Sujan drops a simple chance.
16.5 . Green to Ayub : Signs of frustration creeping in from Ayub, he does like to get on with it, but he can't quite get that one away as he attempts to work it off his hips.
16.6 . Green to Ayub : Down the leg side, Ayub is expecting a wide to be called but is sadly disappointed. Green got away with one there.
End of over 17 (1 run) - Winners or losers(60-1) RR 3.53
K. Ayub 3 (6b), J. Clark 32 (62b) , N. Green 5-0-11-0

17.1 4 Picker to Clark : Clark has fooled Picker with his footwork and managed to create enough room to slash that away for four.
17.2 . Picker to Clark : Short ball outside off stump and well left alone by Clark.
17.3 . Picker to Clark : Straight through to Khan, Clark is beaten by the leg cutter.
17.4 1 Picker to Clark : Straight back down the ground and the bowler is able to get a hand on it. With Ayub backing up, if that had hit, he would be gone. Luckily, it misses the stumps and the batsmen pick up a single.
17.5 . Picker to Ayub : Ayub is rapped on the pad by Picker but the umpire is unimpressed.
17.6 1 Picker to Ayub : A straight ball on a good length, Ayub turns the ball to the leg side and takes off for a run. Sujan reacts slowly and can't prevent them taking a single. End of over 18 (6 runs) - Winners or losers(66-1) RR 3.67
J. Clark 37 (66b), K. Ayub 4 (8b) , E. Picker 7-0-28-0

18.1 . Green to Ayub : Huge appeal from Green who is going quite red in the face with the effort. "Not out" says the umpire, the ball must have pitched outside leg as it would surely have hit the stumps.
18.2 . Green to Ayub : That is a ripper from Green! Nipping back off the seam and cutting Ayub in half like a chainsaw through a log!
18.3 . Green to Ayub : Someone needs to tell Ayub that it's a cricket bat, not an axe. Swipes at a wide one with a very closed face, lucky to have missed it. Khan's definitely giving him some stick over that shot.
18.4 1 Green to Ayub : And we're going upstairs. A flat throw from Mahmood at point lands right over the stumps, and Khan smartly takes off the bails. Replays have shown that Clark was home by inches, not out.
18.5 . Green to Clark : Hit to mid-on. No run.
18.6 . Green to Clark : Way too full from Green. Clark smashes the ball straight to Beagley at midwicket. A wasted opportunity for Clark.
End of over 19 (1 run) - Winners or losers(67-1) RR 3.53
J. Clark 37 (68b), K. Ayub 5 (12b) , N. Green 6-0-12-0

19.1 1 Picker to Ayub : Ayub opens the face and runs the ball down to third man for 1. 19.2 . Picker to Clark : That's hit Clark below the knee roll right in front of middle, but the umpire hasn't given it! What more does Picker have to do?
19.3 2 Picker to Clark : Short, rising delivery. Clark goes on the back foot and punches through the midwicket gap. A well timed dive and an excellent throw from the outfield allow the batsmen only two.
19.4 1 Picker to Clark : Bowled full on the off, eased through the gap between cover and cover point for a single.
19.5 . Picker to Ayub : Picker pitches it outside off and Ayub offers no shot as it cannons into his pads, Picker appeals and the batsmen run. The umpire turns them both down and everyone returns to their original places.
19.6 1 Picker to Ayub : Driven well and despite it going straight to Mahmood, he had little chance of a run out there.
End of over 20 (5 runs) - Winners or losers(72-1) RR 3.60

The drinks cart is now making its way onto the field.

20.1 . Otieno to Ayub : Good tight bowling and Ayub gets forward to block the ball's passage.
20.2 . Otieno to Ayub : Swing and miss, Ayub getting a bit too adventurous now.
20.3 1 Otieno to Ayub : Tucked around the corner by Ayub and Clark calls him through for a quick single. Good running!
20.4 1 Otieno to Clark : Clark pushes it through the gap for a single out to Mitra.
20.5 . Otieno to Ayub : Beautiful delivery from Otieno which has just missed the edge. Dot ball.
20.6 . Otieno to Ayub : A swing and a miss there. Ayub must be a keen angler judging by the amount of fishing he's doing outside off stump.
End of over 21 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(74-1) RR 3.52
K. Ayub 8 (20b), J. Clark 41 (72b) , B. Otieno 1-0-2-0

21.1 1 Shazada to Clark : Full toss driven to deep mid-on.
21.2 . Shazada to Ayub : Ooh! That has to be close! A beautiful delivery there from Shazada, completely deceiving Ayub. It has hit him on the pad with a dull thud. Oh no! The umpire has turned down the appeal and Ayub lets out a sigh of relief. Shazada is not happy. Khan shakes his head in disbelief.
21.3 1 Shazada to Ayub : Sensible cricket by Ayub. A full pitched ball and he's just knocked it back past Shazada. Mid-off runs round to cut it off but the batsmen pick up 1.
21.4 3 Shazada to Clark : [misfield] Lewis has made a complete mess of a fairly regulation stop at mid off.
21.5 . Shazada to Ayub : Ayub shuffles across and pushes the ball down. No run.
21.6 4 Shazada to Ayub : Gorgeous timing, a neat flick of the wrists and it rockets away behind square for four.
End of over 22 (9 runs) - Winners or losers(83-1) RR 3.77
K. Ayub 13 (24b), J. Clark 45 (74b) , M. Shazada 1-0-9-0

22.1 1 Otieno to Clark : [misfield] Poor fielding from Beagley who lets the ball through his legs and Ayub calls for the single.
22.2 . Otieno to Ayub : Perfect line and length.
22.3 1 Otieno to Ayub : Slower ball from Otieno. Ayub misjudges it and spoons the drive up in the air, but it falls just short of Green at long off.
22.4 wd Otieno to Clark : Very wide. Well taken by Khan.
22.4 W Otieno to Clark : Missing off, missing leg, plumb as they get.
J. Clark lbw b. B. Otieno 46 (76b 2x4 1x6) SR:60.53
22.5 . Otieno to Mullooly : A swing and a miss there. Mullooly must be a keen angler judging by the amount of fishing he's doing outside off stump.
22.6 1 Otieno to Mullooly : A beautiful delivery from Otieno. Plenty of drift and spin but it's turned away by Mullooly and they'll get an easy single there.
End of over 23 (4 runs) - Winners or losers(87-2) RR 3.78
K. Ayub 14 (26b), A. Mullooly 1 (2b) , B. Otieno 2-0-6-1

23.1 . Shazada to Mullooly : A frog goes into a bank and... hang on, I've told this joke before, haven't I? Never mind. Dot ball.
23.2 . Shazada to Mullooly : A well aimed yorker, but well defended by Mullooly.
23.3 . Shazada to Mullooly : That delivery was pretty wide of off stump. Nothing from the umpire though. Dot ball.
23.4 . Shazada to Mullooly : Full face of the bat, it races to Otieno at cover on the circle. Not going to chance his arm, Mullooly sends Ayub back to the safety of the crease, no run.
23.5 3 Shazada to Mullooly : Great shot. Slightly over pitched from Shazada and Mullooly was onto it in a flash.
23.6 1 Shazada to Ayub : Mullooly calls Ayub through for a quick single. Shazada will be furious with Terry's effort to field that ball.
End of over 24 (4 runs) - Winners or losers(91-2) RR 3.79
A. Mullooly 4 (7b), K. Ayub 15 (27b) , M. Shazada 2-0-13-0

24.1 1 Terry to Ayub : Back of a length ball, above middle stump, Ayub pulls confidently out to Green on the square leg boundary. The batsmen canter through for a single.
24.2 . Terry to Mullooly : Mullooly heaves wildly across the line, but misses the ball completely! The vociferous appeal for lbw is turned down as the ball hit him fractionally outside the line of leg stump.
24.3 1 Terry to Mullooly : A short arm jab from Mullooly sees the ball elude Green's rather ungainly dive in the covers.
24.4 . Terry to Ayub : Great take down the leg side by Khan and the entire slip cordon goes up, but that clearly came off the thigh pad. No run.
24.5 . Terry to Ayub : [great fielding] That's driven fiercely by Ayub, but Lewis does brilliantly to dive across from extra cover and knock it down, saving a certain four.
24.6 . Terry to Ayub : Full ball angling towards the leg side, Ayub tries to work it away fine but doesn't make contact.
End of over 25 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(93-2) RR 3.72
K. Ayub 16 (31b), A. Mullooly 5 (9b) , W. Terry 7-0-21-1

25.1 4 Shazada to Mullooly : [misfield] Oh, that's awful from Otieno. Should have been a regulation stop at mid-on but the ball's gone through his legs for four. Just dreadful. Shazada is not impressed.
25.2 . Shazada to Mullooly : No run, Mullooly gets forward, smothers the movement and defends.
25.3 4 Shazada to Mullooly : Mullooly skips down the wicket and digs out a drive, timing it well enough to find the cover boundary.
25.4 W Shazada to Mullooly : [catch] Drifting into Mullooly before spinning away, he fails to move his feet and, wrongly trying to work it to leg, gets an audible outside edge and off he goes.
A. Mullooly c I. Khan b. M. Shazada 13 (13b 2x4 0x6) SR:100.00
25.5 . Shazada to Hamilton : Quicker ball, Hamilton is surprised there, he manages to leave alone and the ball zips past the off stump with some menace. Khan collects.
25.6 3 Shazada to Hamilton : [misfield] An extra fielding session wouldn't go astray for Terry next week. 3 added to the score.
End of over 26 (11 runs) - Winners or losers(104-3) RR 4.00
K. Ayub 16 (31b), J. Hamilton 3 (2b) , M. Shazada 3-0-24-1

26.1 . Terry to Hamilton : Fires that outside off, the ball straightens and goes through to Khan at a good height.
26.2 . Terry to Hamilton : Loud shout for lbw. Terry pitches the ball on a good length outside off stump. Hamilton moves his front foot outside the line of off stump and offers no shot. He gets hit on the front pad but the umpire's finger remains down, and rightly so. Replays show that the ball wasn't coming back enough to hit the stumps. Good decision.
26.3 . Terry to Hamilton : Hamilton tries to pull the short ball, but the ball goes past everything into the hands of Khan.
26.4 . Terry to Hamilton : Hamilton wafts at that one and is lucky not to get an edge.
26.5 2 Terry to Hamilton : [misfield] Hit with power by Hamilton, a mistake by Lewis, and a single becomes two. Khan is fuming.
26.6 . Terry to Hamilton : Hamilton goes back and slashes hard outside off, but fails to make contact. He leans on his bat and looks to the heavens, not sure whether he's praying or checking the weather.
End of over 27 (2 runs) - Winners or losers(106-3) RR 3.93
J. Hamilton 5 (8b), K. Ayub 16 (31b) , W. Terry 8-0-23-1

27.1 . Shazada to Ayub : Ugh! That was a terrible shot by Ayub. Khan from behind the stumps calls out, "Let's bowl him a piano and see if he can play that!" Shazada and Otieno are trying to hide their laughter and get on with the game.
27.2 4 Shazada to Ayub : Blasted! Immense fun! Full pitched around off stump and driven well to the left of mid off.
27.3 4 Shazada to Ayub : Shazada runs in and promptly lets go a rank long hop. Ayub accepts the gift with glee, dispatching the ball to the boundary with a resounding thump.
27.4 . Shazada to Ayub : Full ball on off stump driven straight to Mitra at mid-off by Ayub.
27.5 b Shazada to Ayub : Left alone by Ayub and a regulation take by the keeper is somehow bungled, and the batsmen scamper through for 1. Poor wicket-keeping.
27.6 . Shazada to Hamilton : A wild swing but he can't connect. All sizzle and no sausage.
End of over 28 (9 runs) - Winners or losers(115-3) RR 4.11
J. Hamilton 5 (9b), K. Ayub 24 (36b) , M. Shazada 4-0-32-1

28.1 1 Otieno to Ayub : Ayub just pushes it into the off-side and takes off immediately. Hamilton anticipates and they run a quick single.
28.2 . Otieno to Hamilton : Hamilton chases the ball outside the off stump and misses. That was a poor shot, he was off balance and didn't get his feet into position at all.
28.3 . Otieno to Hamilton : Better players than Hamilton would have done well to nick that.
28.4 . Otieno to Hamilton : Hamilton is rapped on the pads, but he's well outside the line and height is also in question. Only a stifled appeal from Sujan at cover.
28.5 . Otieno to Hamilton : That's a quicker, flatter delivery from Otieno and Hamilton is back in his crease defending.
28.6 . Otieno to Hamilton : Huge appeal for lbw. Full in length, on the middle stump line and straightened a touch and Hamilton went for a loose drive. The bat came outside the line and the ball hit the pad. Close. Very close. Did he get an inside edge? The replays don't confirm that.
End of over 29 (1 run) - Winners or losers(116-3) RR 4.00
J. Hamilton 5 (14b), K. Ayub 25 (37b) , B. Otieno 3-0-7-1

29.1 1 Green to Ayub : Good line and length, Ayub just pushes it into the gap at coverpoint, and manages to get home safely without sprinting.
29.2 . Green to Hamilton : [dropped] Half volley outside off stump, Hamilton throws the bat at it and Mitra drops it at cover! It was a hard catch, but you've got to take those opportunities.
29.3 nb2 Green to Hamilton : Short and worked through square leg for a couple.
29.3 . Green to Hamilton : That ball pitched a perfect length, trapping the batsman. It was a pity it pitched outside of leg or else Hamilton would be making a long walk back to the sheds.
29.4 . Green to Hamilton : [great fielding] A brilliant cover drive but it was fielded even more brilliantly by Terry who dived full stretch to his left to stop a certain four runs.
29.5 . Green to Hamilton : [dropped] Hamilton drives upishly into the covers. Terry dives forward, but spills the ball when his elbows hit the deck. A nice change of pace from Green, but Hamilton survives.
29.6 . Green to Hamilton : Hamilton walks across well outside off stump looking to tickle it fine. Green slaps his hands on his head as that has missed leg stump by a coat of varnish. Khan & Otieno stare in amazement at their lack of fortune.

30.3 . Otieno to Eime : Really nice drift on that ball, Eime gets well forward and smothers the spin.
30.4 1 Otieno to Eime : Eime's eyes light up when he sees the ball pitched up outside off stump, but at the last moment, decides to check his shot. The ball pops into the air, but safe from any fielders.
30.5 . Otieno to Hamilton : A quicker, fuller one from Otieno beats the attempted sweep from Hamilton and just misses the off stump! Unlucky.
30.6 . Otieno to Hamilton : Full and wide of off stump, Hamilton flashed a drive but it spun sharply and beats him on the inside edge.

31.1 1 Green to Eime : Green nips it back from off stump, pinning Eime to his crease. The bat comes down in the nick of time and Hamilton is quick to call for the run.
31.2 lb Green to Hamilton : Hamilton got no bat on that and it's run down to Picker at fine leg for a leg bye.
31.3 1 Green to Eime : The batsmen will need to be quick here, and they are. Brilliant fielding from Otieno had Hamilton at full stretch to make his ground.
31.4 . Green to Hamilton : An angry delivery from Green, which spits up off the pitch, striking Hamilton's grill.
31.5 . Green to Hamilton : [great fielding] Sujan makes a brilliant save at silly mid-on... with his shin. That will hurt tomorrow.
31.6 1 Green to Hamilton : On a length from Green, the seam movement gives Hamilton just enough width to late cut it down to third man for a single.

32.2 . Shazada to Eime : Full and on the stumps. The bat gets behind the ball to block it away.
32.3 . Shazada to Eime : A good length outside off stump, Eime looks to work it away square of the wicket, but instead a leading edge pops away tantalizingly, but harmlessly, into the covers.
32.4 2 Shazada to Eime : The batsmen will need to be quick here, and they are. Brilliant fielding from Sujan had Hamilton at full stretch to make his ground.
32.5 . Shazada to Eime : Just trying too hard I think, Eime fends that away cautiously. No run but not causing the batsman trouble either.

33.2 . Otieno to Hamilton : Really nice drift on that ball, Hamilton gets well forward and smothers the spin.
33.3 3 Otieno to Hamilton : Great running from the batsman has led to three being scored instead of a two. Some lazy fielding too it must be said.
33.4 1 Otieno to Eime : Tapped away, the batsmen take a quick single.
33.5 1 Otieno to Hamilton : Outside off, drives it sweetly. They take the easy run.

34.3 1 Shazada to Eime : Slightly short there from Shazada, and Eime cuts to deep point for a single.
34.4 . Shazada to Hamilton : Loud shout for lbw. Shazada pitches the ball on a good length outside off stump. Hamilton moves his front foot outside the line of off stump and offers no shot. He gets hit on the front pad but the umpire's finger remains down, and rightly so. Replays show that the ball wasn't coming back enough to hit the stumps. Good decision.
34.5 . Shazada to Hamilton : [dropped] Terry never got his hands in the right position for that chance, and an easy slip catch goes begging.

36.2 . Shazada to Hamilton : [great fielding] Hamilton hit that right out of the middle and only a great stop from Beagley prevented the boundary.
36.3 . Shazada to Hamilton : Shazada round the wicket to Hamilton, altering the angle of delivery and giving him something extra to think about.
36.4 1 Shazada to Hamilton : Run down to third man by Hamilton for an easy single
36.5 . Shazada to Eime : Well forward, played down the track, mid-on fielding.
36.6 . Shazada to Eime : What a ball! It's turned out of the bowler's footmarks and fizzed through the gap between bat and pad. Khan gathers it and I can't believe that missed everything.

37.2 2 Otieno to Hamilton : Punched into the ground off the back foot.
37.3 1 Otieno to Hamilton : Rotten ball, half tracker and barely any turn. Hamilton is far too early into it and mistimes a single out to long on.
37.4 1 Otieno to Eime : Bowled full on the off, eased through the gap between cover and cover point for a single.
37.5 2 Otieno to Hamilton : Played wide of mid-off and they'll come back for 2.
37.6 1 Otieno to Hamilton : It's going to be close. It's going to be very close! Great running by Hamilton but even so I'm amazed that they're not calling for a replay. Otieno and Khan give the umpire the death stare but I can't see it doing them any good.

That ends the innings of Winners or losers. Black Cobas will have a target of 175 to chase.

The Black Cobas got their innings off to a slow start with it being the same as their opening partnership could of been so much better but it didn't lasted long as the 9th over came and strucked as W. Castles took his first wicket of the day with a wonderful catch from J. Clark as the batting slowed right down to be 2.70 after just 10 overs.

But whatever my team was doing, they just couldn't get the wicket that they needed as Green and Beagley continued the partnership as the requried target came closer and closer before luck went on their side as Miskin couldn't reach the ball and that made K. Ayub mad as they wanted a wicket badley.

J. Hamilton finally made the breakthough after the ball swung away as it edged Green's bat to create a catch for A. Mullooly as it caught the ball to make it 2 for 51. Once Mitra came on the pitch it was chasing those runs and it was succesful as the 4s were coming into the game and then it was R. Miskin turn to take one of the wickets as W. Beagley was confused to see the wood fell.

That meant an attacking approach from the Black Cobas as they went on the charge to try and get the 102 runs required and they were trying to stay in the match as the partnership hit 50 in the 35th over before finally 50 came from Mitra as the Required Run-Rate was still going up and up before a scare from J. Hamilton bowling as he was cross as J. Solway and J. Hamilton collided and it landed on the floor. It became worst for J. Hamilton as the very next ball he was smacked for 6 runs over long on and everyone knew that a upset was on the cards.

After a 4 run over from J. Solway, J. Hamilton was dancing with glory as he got A. Mitra for 62 after being dropped the previous J. Hamilton over but it didn't last long as the score was 4/164 off 39 overs.

Code:
0.1 3 Ayub to Otieno : Great shot. Slightly over pitched from Ayub and Otieno was onto it in a flash.
0.2 . Ayub to Beagley : Ayub the landlord is owning the pitch at the moment. Very little Beagley could have done there. Wisely drops his bat and listens to the swooooosh of the breeze go past him. Mullooly claps in appreciation.
0.3 . Ayub to Beagley : It's a bird, no really, it's a bird. A thrush I think. Thrilling cricket by the way here, a dot ball.
0.4 . Ayub to Beagley : Beagley flails outside off. Huge, enthusiastic shout from Mullooly until he realises that no-one else is appealing, at which point he trails off and pretends it never happened.
0.5 1 Ayub to Beagley : Bowled full on the off, eased through the gap between cover and cover point for a single.
0.6 . Ayub to Otieno : Ayub fires in a yorker outside off, Otieno gets nicely behind it and pushes through the line to mid-off.

1.1 . Solway to Beagley : Beagley gropes for that outside off stump without really moving his feet.
1.2 . Solway to Beagley : Driven solidly to mid on. Good shot, but no runs.
1.3 wd Solway to Beagley : 1 wide, down the leg side. Poor delivery.
1.3 . Solway to Beagley : No run. Wide outside the off stump, but angling in, Beagley has a slash at it but can't make contact.
1.4 1 Solway to Beagley : A good length ball by Solway angling towards the off stump's gently pushed away by Beagley for a single.
1.5 . Solway to Otieno : Touch wide and Otieno sensibly shoulders arms and lets it go by, no wickets likely to really come from those balls.
1.6 . Solway to Otieno : A big heave from Otieno; a scare as Mullooly takes the bails off just out of habit. Lucky there for Otieno.

2.1 2 Ayub to Beagley : Just flicked off the pads by Beagley.
2.2 . Ayub to Beagley : [great fielding] That ball is crunched, but an excellent dive at cover by Clark prevents the batsmen from scoring. Wonderful fielding.
2.3 . Ayub to Beagley : Solid forward defensive stroke, Solway comes in to collect.
2.4 . Ayub to Beagley : A hint of movement off the pitch there, just enough to keep Ayub interested and Beagley watchful.
2.5 . Ayub to Beagley : Solid defense by Beagley! Meanwhile, in the Corporate Box a man dressed in red is enjoying a nice sandwich when another man, this time dressed in green, enters and a brown paper bag is exchanged...
2.6 1 Ayub to Beagley : Beagley gets forward and pushes it just wide of mid-off. One run taken.

3.1 . Solway to Beagley : [great fielding] Kalum manages to get a foot down just in time to stop the ball.
3.2 . Solway to Beagley : That hit the seam and jagged back. Inside edge from Beagley falls safely away from the stumps.
3.3 1 Solway to Beagley : Lazy waft outside off stump, but the edge flies safely past the slips and down to third man for a single.
3.4 . Solway to Otieno : Loud shout for lbw. Solway pitches the ball on a good length outside off stump. Otieno moves his front foot outside the line of off stump and offers no shot. He gets hit on the front pad but the umpire's finger remains down, and rightly so. Replays show that the ball wasn't coming back enough to hit the stumps. Good decision.
3.5 . Solway to Otieno : Solway pitches it in the corridor outside off and has Otieno fishing outside the off stump.
3.6 . Solway to Otieno : [great fielding] A childhood spent sliding down a wet tarp serves Kalum well as he slides, at full stretch, to save a certain boundary. Polite applause rises from the northern stand, led by an elderly gent.

4.1 2 Ayub to Beagley : Late cut, to the left of Chopra at short third man. The fielder gives chase, and cuts the ball off as the batsmen run 2.
4.2 . Ayub to Beagley : Snorter! Pitched on middle and moved away, beating the defensive prod from Beagley, who stands there bearing the look of a man doing a particularly difficult Sudoku.
4.3 1 Ayub to Beagley : Nudged intelligently into the gap for a leisurely single.
4.4 . Ayub to Otieno : Wide outside off stump and Otieno has a jab at the ball only to see it sail through to Mullooly.
4.5 . Ayub to Otieno : Wide outside off stump and Otieno has a jab at the ball only to see it sail through to Mullooly.
4.6 2 Ayub to Otieno : Late cut, to the right of Clark at short third man. The fielder gives chase, and cuts the ball off as the batsmen run two.

5.1 . Solway to Beagley : Short in length and coming in slightly, Beagley shoulders arms, through to Mullooly.
5.2 . Solway to Beagley : A good length ball angled into Beagley's off stump, who leans forward and drives with a straight bat towards the bowler. Solway picks up on his follow through.
5.3 . Solway to Beagley : Short of a length and climbing into the midriff. Beagley gets behind the line and defends impeccably.
5.4 nb Solway to Beagley : Drilled back at Solway who throws a boot out in a vain attempt to stop it, luckily for him the ball crashes into the stumps at the bowler's end and Clark swoops in to make sure there's no run.
5.4 . Solway to Beagley : Just a hint of inswing there for Solway. Beagley goes for a booming drive but only manages to get a thick inside edge onto his front pad.
5.5 . Solway to Beagley : A firm stroke straight to mid-off.
5.6 1 Solway to Beagley : Gently pushed towards cover, away from Ayub for 1.

6.1 . Ayub to Beagley : [great fielding] Cut fiercely, but an excellent stop by Clark at point saves four.
6.2 . Ayub to Beagley : A good ball just short of a length from Ayub and Beagley was wise to let that one go through.
6.3 . Ayub to Beagley : A touch short from Ayub. He needs to bowl a little fuller if he wants to trouble Beagley.
6.4 2 Ayub to Beagley : Lucky! That one flies off the outside edge and they'll pick up runs as third man comes around to field.
6.5 . Ayub to Beagley : Ayub round the wicket to Beagley, altering the angle of delivery and giving him something extra to think about.
6.6 . Ayub to Beagley : [great fielding] Beautiful stroke! Too bad it's been snapped up by Solway at short cover.

7.2 3 Solway to Otieno : Otieno chips it over the infield for three.
7.3 1 Solway to Beagley : [great fielding] Great cut shot from Beagley! But Chopra launches himself at the ball and stops it, superb fielding! Despite his best efforts there the batsmen complete a run, but he still saved three.
7.4 nb Solway to Otieno : Wow, an absolute jaffer! A nipping delivery from Solway beats Otieno and is comfortably collected by Mullooly.
7.4 . Solway to Otieno : Fizzed in and Otieno has to adjust quickly to defend back to the bowler.
7.5 . Solway to Otieno : Full ball angling towards the leg side, Otieno tries to work it away fine but doesn't make contact.
7.6 . Solway to Otieno : Fast and straight from Solway, he puts the ball on a length and Otieno plays it to cover.

8.1 1 Castles to Beagley : Tidy line and length and Beagley pushes it into the covers.
8.2 . Castles to Otieno : A big heave from Otieno; a scare as Mullooly takes the bails off just out of habit. Lucky there for Otieno.
8.3 . Castles to Otieno : A firm stroke straight to mid-on
8.4 . Castles to Otieno : A supporter yells 'Come on, we want some action!' as Otieno pushes the ball into the ground.
8.5 . Castles to Otieno : Attempted little flick over the shoulder and over fine leg, but not successful.
8.6 W Castles to Otieno : [catch] Oh dear! That's not the way to play a reverse sweep. Top edged it straight up in the air and a regulation catch.

9.1 . Ayub to Beagley : This one is bowled from a bit closer to the stumps this time, and only just sails over the top of off stump. The umpire has a word to the bowler about staying off the middle of the pitch.
9.2 1 Ayub to Beagley : And we're going upstairs. A flat throw from Hamilton at point lands right over the stumps, and Mullooly smartly takes off the bails. Replays have shown that Green was home by inches, not out.
9.3 . Ayub to Green : Oooh... Ayub had Green jumping around a bit there, nice and nippy off the wicket causing the ball to fly into Green's ribs, only a desperate flick of the bat preventing the sound of ball on bone.
9.4 1 Ayub to Green : Green plays it towards the vacant square leg area for 1.
9.5 . Ayub to Beagley : I'm told they call Ayub 'Golden Balls'. Must be something to do with the way he bowls.
9.6 . Ayub to Beagley : Very good delivery from Ayub which cuts back sharply on a jumping Beagley, hitting him in the chest.

10.1 . Castles to Green : Banged in short, and Green ducks under it. He glances over at the square leg umpire, but his hands don't budge. That was very close to a wide.
10.2 . Castles to Green : Short and wide from Castles. The umpire doesn't move a muscle, no wide called. Green and Beagley look at the umpire in amazement.
10.3 2 Castles to Green : Green looks to turn that behind square, but it's off the leading edge and fortunately clearing Solway at point. 2 runs.
10.4 . Castles to Green : There's nothing like a great bit of attacking batting to get the crowd going, and that's exactly what that was... Nothing like a great bit of attacking batting. Dot ball.
10.5 . Castles to Green : That's intelligent bowling, Castles brings that one back in off the seam, Green plays the wrong line, ball sneaks between bat and pad and skims narrowly over the top of off stump.
10.6 . Castles to Green : Green tries to pull a short ball through mid wicket, but only succeeds in getting a bottom edge. The ball bounces a couple of times near off stump and trickles away towards slip.

11.1 . Ayub to Beagley : Good length delivery which Beagley decides to leave.
11.2 wd Ayub to Beagley : Very wide. Well taken by Mullooly.
11.2 . Ayub to Beagley : Solid defence from Beagley. Bat and pad close together, head nicely over the bat. The ball trickles back towards Ayub. No runs.
11.3 . Ayub to Beagley : That delivery has left Beagley for dead off the seam. He inspects the pitch and does a bit of gardening. It will be interesting to see if that delivery plays on his mind.
11.4 . Ayub to Beagley : A supporter yells 'Come on, we want some action!' as Beagley pushes the ball into the ground.
11.5 1 Ayub to Beagley : Beagley on-drives Ayub for a single, and the pair exchange a few words as Beagley reaches the bowler's end. Keep your eye on that one, these two can both get a bit feisty.
11.6 . Ayub to Green : Fires that outside off, the ball straightens and goes through to Mullooly at a good height.

12.2 1 Castles to Green : Short and he hooks it away down towards deep backward square, it falls safely short of the man in the deep and they jog a single.
12.3 . Castles to Beagley : Good length ball, but outside off and well left.
12.4 . Castles to Beagley : Signs of frustration creeping in from Beagley, he does like to get on with it, but he can't quite get that one away as he attempts to work it off his hips.
12.5 . Castles to Beagley : Castles gives a quick nod to the talent scout sitting on the boundary after that promising delivery. Beagley swings and misses, completely baffled.
12.6 . Castles to Beagley : Ayub collects the ball after a gentle on-drive is stroked towards him. No run.

13.1 . Ayub to Green : Good length ball on off stump, driven on the up towards cover who throws the ball back to a chirping Mullooly.
13.2 . Ayub to Green : [great fielding] A good diving stop by Kalum at square leg prevents any runs and keeps the pressure on Green.
13.3 1 Ayub to Green : That's unlucky. Green played that firmly back past the bowler, but the ball struck the stumps at the non-striker's end and he'll only pick up a single.
13.4 . Ayub to Beagley : Solid forward defensive by the batsman pushes the ball just wide of cover. Beagley calls for the single but is quickly sent back by the non striker.
13.5 lb Ayub to Beagley : Beagley clears his front leg, but Ayub follows him and hits Beagley's pads. The ball rolls away to square leg, and they can only pick up 1 leg bye.
13.6 . Ayub to Green : A beautiful delivery by Ayub! Pitched on off stump and left Green for dead off the seam through to Mullooly, who applauds the delivery.

14.2 1 Castles to Beagley : An easy single straight down the ground to Eime at long on.
14.3 . Castles to Green : Defended to Clark at a shortish mid off, who does his best Lionel Messi impersonation by flicking the ball up to Castles with his foot. He receives a smattering of applause from the crowd, but his captain doesn't look to pleased with his lairising.
14.4 1 Castles to Green : This one bounces up sharply and Green does magnificently to get on top of it and steer it down to third man. The batsmen jog through for a single.

15.1 . Ayub to Beagley : Beagley swings and misses, somewhat lethargically. I can see several nightclub stamps on his wrist, perhaps he should have an early one the night before a match. It might have made the difference in that delivery.
15.2 . Ayub to Beagley : Beagley flicks the ball over the bowler's head and catches out the distracted Green. Green stares at him nonplussed and he simply shrugs as if to say, "Whoops".
15.3 1 Ayub to Beagley : Beagley shuffles back and gets a delicate cut past the gully fieldsman. Miskin steams around from third man and cuts off the boundary. An easy single in the end.
15.4 . Ayub to Green : Ayub scratches his head after the umpire turns down his LBW. Was it too high? Doesn't matter. Green breathes a sigh of relief.
15.5 . Ayub to Green : Superb bowling from Ayub. He had the batsmen in two minds there. Luckily for Green it misses the off stump by a whisker and passes safely through to Mullooly.
15.6 2 Ayub to Green : Just slightly overpitched by Ayub, and Green picks the gap at cover for two runs. Good, sensible batting.

17.1 . Hamilton to Green : Cricket in its purest form. Hamilton sent down an absolute cracker of a delivery, hitting a perfect length and deviating just enough to miss the outside edge and the fielders are distraught that there wasn't a wicket there.
17.2 . Hamilton to Green : Fullish ball on off-stump, defended comfortably out towards cover.
17.3 . Hamilton to Green : Green is having nothing to do with that delivery and watchfully pulls his bat inside the line. 17.4 . Hamilton to Green : [great fielding] Green has thrown the kitchen sink at that and the result? A big, round nought. Eime at cover was in the way.
17.5 . Hamilton to Green : That's hit a crack in the pitch, cutting back into Green who ends up playing down totally the wrong line. Luckily the ball just misses off stump, which is evident by the groans coming from Hamilton and Mullooly.
17.6 2 Hamilton to Green : Ah, short and wide, Green has all the time in the world to rock back and carve it behind point.

23.1 . Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra is rapped on the pad by Hamilton but the umpire is unimpressed.
23.2 . Hamilton to Mitra : Tidy line and length and Mitra pushes it into the covers.
23.3 . Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra slashes at it, but can't get it past point.
23.4 . Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra has a jab at that outside the off stump without moving his feet and he misses it completely.
23.5 . Hamilton to Mitra : Good length ball, but outside off and well left.
23.6 4 Hamilton to Mitra : Textbook back foot drive, standing tall with a high elbow. Mitra knows how good it was, and holds the pose for the cameras as the ball bounces over the rope.
End of over 24 (4 runs) - Black Cobas(73-2). 102 runs required from 16 overs. RR 3.04 RRR 6.38
A. Mitra 12 (19b), W. Beagley 35 (73b) , J. Hamilton 4-0-11-1

24.1 . Miskin to Beagley : Drilled back at Miskin who throws a boot out in a vain attempt to stop it, luckily for him the ball crashes into the stumps at the bowler's end and Castles swoops in to make sure there's no run.
24.2 W Miskin to Beagley : A slower ball from Miskin sees Beagley confused. He didn't hit the ball but still there's the sound of ball on wood. Excellent deception.
W. Beagley b. R. Miskin 35 (75b 1x4 0x6) SR:46.67
24.3 . Miskin to Mahmood : A frog goes into a bank and... hang on, I've told this joke before, haven't I? Never mind. Dot ball.
24.4 . Miskin to Mahmood : Mullooly thinks he's got Mahmood stumped, he's gone absolutely ballistic - but Mahmood's back foot was well in. Maybe Mullooly was just happy he caught it.
24.5 . Miskin to Mahmood : A big appeal from Miskin, but it hit outside the line.
24.6 . Miskin to Mahmood : Full and wide of off stump, Mahmood flashed a drive but it spun sharply and beats him on the inside edge.
End of over 25 (maiden) - Black Cobas(73-3). 102 runs required from 15 overs. RR 2.92 RRR 6.80
J. Mahmood 0 (4b), A. Mitra 12 (19b) , R. Miskin 1-1-0-1

25.1 4 Castles to Mitra : Finely struck there from Mitra. That'll race down to the boundary past Eime at long on. 25.2 . Castles to Mitra : A swing and a miss there. Mitra must be a keen angler judging by the amount of fishing he's doing outside off stump.
25.3 1 Castles to Mitra : Sorry, I was tucking into a slice of cake and missed that one! Scorer says it went for 1. 25.4 . Castles to Mahmood : Solid defense by Mahmood! Meanwhile, in the Corporate Box a man dressed in red is enjoying a nice sandwich when another man, this time dressed in green, enters and a brown paper bag is exchanged...
25.5 . Castles to Mahmood : Good line and length from Castles and it's played defensively by Mahmood to Ayub at short cover for no run.
25.6 . Castles to Mahmood : There's nothing like a great bit of attacking batting to get the crowd going, and that's exactly what that was... Nothing like a great bit of attacking batting. Dot ball.
End of over 26 (5 runs) - Black Cobas(78-3). 97 runs required from 14 overs. RR 3.00 RRR 6.93
J. Mahmood 0 (7b), A. Mitra 17 (22b) , W. Castles 5-0-13-1

26.1 . Miskin to Mitra : Miskin sends down a loose delivery but a lacklustre, mistimed shot from Mitra means Miskin escapes with a dot ball, which probably deserved to clear the pickets.
26.2 2 Miskin to Mitra : Mitra opens the face and runs the ball down to third man for 2.
26.3 . Miskin to Mitra : Mitra belts it back at Miskin. The ball crashes into the stumps, sending the bails flying, before stopping at the base of the stumps. Very unlucky.
26.4 . Miskin to Mitra : [great fielding] Stunning reflexes from Miskin to prevent that straight drive going past him. That saved at least a couple of runs.
26.5 . Miskin to Mitra : Defended to Clark at a shortish mid off, who does his best Lionel Messi impersonation by flicking the ball up to Miskin with his foot. He receives a smattering of applause from the crowd, but his captain doesn't look to pleased with his lairising.
26.6 1 Miskin to Mitra : Straight ball, on a length, bunted down the pitch to long-on for a single.
End of over 27 (3 runs) - Black Cobas(81-3). 94 runs required from 13 overs. RR 3.00 RRR 7.23
J. Mahmood 0 (7b), A. Mitra 20 (28b) , R. Miskin 2-1-3-1

27.1 b4 Castles to Mitra : Ripper of a ball from Castles, it's beaten the bat, the wickets and unfortunately Mullooly. It runs away for 4 byes.
27.2 3 Castles to Mitra : [misfield] An extra fielding session wouldn't go astray for Hamilton next week. 3 added to the score.
27.3 . Castles to Mahmood : A wild swing but he can't connect. All sizzle and no sausage.
27.4 1 Castles to Mahmood : A big inswinger is clipped away by Mahmood for a single, that was very well watched!
27.5 . Castles to Mitra : Terrific delivery there by Castles. It pitched short, fizzing past Mitra's nose as he took evasive action.
27.6 . Castles to Mitra : Defended watchfully onto the leg side.
End of over 28 (8 runs) - Black Cobas(89-3). 86 runs required from 12 overs. RR 3.18 RRR 7.17
A. Mitra 23 (32b), J. Mahmood 1 (9b) , W. Castles 6-0-17-1

28.1 1 Miskin to Mahmood : Crunched through the point region. It gets to the deep point fieldsman very quickly though and the batsmen can only take one.
28.2 4 Miskin to Mitra : Superbly timed shot from Mitra and it goes straight past long on for four runs.
28.3 2 Miskin to Mitra : Paddled onto the legside.
28.4 . Miskin to Mitra : Stifled shout for lbw. The ball landed outside the leg stump and moved towards leg, Mitra fell over a touch as he tried to flick and was rapped on the pad.
28.5 . Miskin to Mitra : Loud appeal for LBW. Miskin looks confident. Not out is the call. That had to be close. Miskin shakes his head in disbelief.
28.6 . Miskin to Mitra : You will rarely see a ball as good as that. The bad news for Miskin is that Mitra lacks the skill to get an edge on it.
End of over 29 (7 runs) - Black Cobas(96-3). 79 runs required from 11 overs. RR 3.31 RRR 7.18
A. Mitra 29 (37b), J. Mahmood 2 (10b) , R. Miskin 3-1-10-1

29.1 3 Castles to Mahmood : Textbook cover drive from Mahmood. A treat to watch. A diving stop at the boundary from Slwana restricts the batsmen to 3 runs. Good cricket.
29.2 1 Castles to Mitra : Angled down legside and Mitra flicks it down to fine leg for a single.
29.3 2 Castles to Mahmood : Short delivery fended away by Mahmood, and they'll pick up a couple.
29.4 2 Castles to Mahmood : Short, rising delivery. Mahmood goes on the back foot and punches through the midwicket gap. A well timed dive and an excellent throw from the outfield allow the batsmen only two.
29.5 . Castles to Mahmood : [great fielding] Fantastic stop from Slwana. Mahmood thought it was four all the way, before Slwana took off to his left and stopped the ball.
29.6 1 Castles to Mahmood : Short and he hooks it away down towards deep backward square, it falls safely short of the man in the deep and they jog a single.
End of over 30 (9 runs) - Black Cobas(105-3). 70 runs required from 10 overs. RR 3.50 RRR 7.00
A. Mitra 30 (38b), J. Mahmood 10 (15b) , W. Castles 7-0-26-1

30.1 . Miskin to Mahmood : Full and driven fiercely, straight to mid off, who makes a regulation stop - albeit one that's stung his palms!
30.2 . Miskin to Mahmood : A flighted delivery that spins viciously and beats the edge. Mahmood looks bemused as he inspects the pitch.
30.3 . Miskin to Mahmood : [great fielding] Mahmood times it well but Ayub is alert and manages to stop any chance of a run.
30.4 1 Miskin to Mahmood : Miskin pitches that one a bit shorter and Mahmood leans back, slapping it out to deep square leg for an easy single. Ayub fires in the return, what an arm he's got.
30.5 . Miskin to Mitra : [missed stumping] Mitra charges down the pitch but is unable to reach the pitch of the ball. The ball spins viciously and the keeper can't take it properly and the batsman is able to get back in his crease.
30.6 . Miskin to Mitra : That ball pitched a perfect length, trapping the batsman. It was a pity it pitched outside of leg or else Mitra would be making a long walk back to the sheds.
End of over 31 (1 run) - Black Cobas(106-3). 69 runs required from 9 overs. RR 3.42 RRR 7.67
A. Mitra 30 (40b), J. Mahmood 11 (19b) , R. Miskin 4-1-11-1

31.1 . Castles to Mahmood : A firm stroke straight to mid-off.
31.2 1 Castles to Mahmood : Castles pitches that one a bit shorter and Mahmood leans back, slapping it out to deep square leg for an easy single. Miskin fires in the return, what an arm he's got.
31.3 1 Castles to Mitra : Short ball, Mitra attempts a cut shot, but ends up inside edging it into his pads. His partner calls him through for a quick single as Solway tidies up.
31.4 . Castles to Mahmood : Short ball outside off stump and well left alone by Mahmood.
31.5 . Castles to Mahmood : Defended straight back to the bowler.
31.6 . Castles to Mahmood : A peach of a delivery. Beautiful seam position. The ball hits the deck and jags away, squaring the batsman up. Castles looks to the heavens.
End of over 32 (2 runs) - Black Cobas(108-3). 67 runs required from 8 overs. RR 3.38 RRR 8.38
J. Mahmood 12 (24b), A. Mitra 31 (41b) , W. Castles 8-0-28-1

32.1 1 Hamilton to Mitra : Miskin is too slow to stop the batsmen from sneaking a single.
32.2 . Hamilton to Mahmood : A bit of movement, but it's too wide and Mahmood sensibly lets it go through. Hamilton will need a better line than that to get the batsman playing his shots.
32.3 2 Hamilton to Mahmood : Clears the front leg and heaves across the line. Doesn't make great contact and the ball is chased down in the deep by Ayub.
32.4 . Hamilton to Mahmood : Full and on the stumps. The bat gets behind the ball to block it away.
32.5 1 Hamilton to Mahmood : It's a full toss, but the batsman is caught off guard, and is unable to time it cleanly. Single is the result.
32.6 wd Hamilton to Mitra : Hamilton is struggling to control the swing, as this one starts on middle and ends up way outside leg stump. Mitra can't connect, and a wide is signalled.
32.6 4 Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra plays it down to the vacant third man area. 4 runs.
End of over 33 (9 runs) - Black Cobas(117-3). 58 runs required from 7 overs. RR 3.55 RRR 8.29
A. Mitra 36 (43b), J. Mahmood 15 (28b) , J. Hamilton 5-0-20-1

33.1 1 Solway to Mahmood : Cuts fiercely through the infield, but the cover sweeper does well to keep them down to a single.
33.2 . Solway to Mitra : Fires that outside off, the ball straightens and goes through to Mullooly at a good height.
33.3 . Solway to Mitra : Quicker ball, Mitra is surprised there, he manages to leave alone and the ball zips past the off stump with some menace. Mullooly collects.
33.4 . Solway to Mitra : Fullish ball on off-stump, defended comfortably out towards cover.
33.5 1 Solway to Mitra : Played along the ground just wide of Hamilton at mid-on. Mitra calls his partner through for a quick single. Good running!
33.6 . Solway to Mahmood : And our cameraman has just focused in on that gorgeous lady in the crowd with the most revealing top. I'll have two of those! Uhh, the beers she's got in her hands I mean! Umm.. Dot ball as Mahmood leaves it.
End of over 34 (2 runs) - Black Cobas(119-3). 56 runs required from 6 overs. RR 3.50 RRR 9.33
J. Mahmood 16 (30b), A. Mitra 37 (47b) , J. Solway 5-0-12-0

34.1 2 Hamilton to Mitra : Short, rising delivery. Mitra goes on the back foot and punches through the midwicket gap. A well timed dive and an excellent throw from the outfield allow the batsmen only two.
34.2 1 Hamilton to Mitra : Tapped away, and the batsmen steal a sharp single. Well run.
34.3 1 Hamilton to Mahmood : Through mid-off for a single.
That is the 50 partnership (50 runs, 61b, 3x4, 0x6) SR:81.97
34.4 4 Hamilton to Mitra : [misfield] Sliding onto leg stump and worked away behind square where Slwana makes a hash of it at fine leg and concedes a boundary.
34.5 2 Hamilton to Mitra : Oooh great shot. Finest of shots there by Mitra to run it off the face down leg side. Miskin was very wide, they'll pick two more runs for the total.
34.6 1 Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra pushes it through the gap for a single out to Chopra.
End of over 35 (11 runs) - Black Cobas(130-3). 45 runs required from 5 overs. RR 3.71 RRR 9.00
J. Mahmood 17 (31b), A. Mitra 47 (52b) , J. Hamilton 6-0-31-1

35.1 3 Solway to Mitra : Mitra adds three to the total with a clip through mid-wicket.
That is 50 runs for Mitra (50 runs, 53b 6x4 0x6) SR:94.34
35.2 4 Solway to Mahmood : [misfield] I've seen steamrollers with better acceleration than Eime there, 4 more runs.
35.3 2 Solway to Mahmood : Solway offers up a gentle half volley and Mahmood drives crisply to the right of Eime in the covers. The slow outfield allows Eime to catch the ball before it reaches the ropes and his good arm deters the batsmen from trying a third.
35.4 1 Solway to Mahmood : Mahmood opens the face and runs the ball down to third man for 1.
35.5 1 Solway to Mitra : Mahmood calls early and turns what could have a been a risky single into an easy one.
35.6 . Solway to Mahmood : Goes for the little paddle shot, but misses completely. Stifled appeal, but it struck him outside off stump.
End of over 36 (11 runs) - Black Cobas(141-3). 34 runs required from 4 overs. RR 3.92 RRR 8.50
J. Mahmood 24 (35b), A. Mitra 51 (54b) , J. Solway 6-0-23-0

36.1 . Hamilton to Mitra : [dropped] Mitra hits a leading edge and there is confusion on the field as Solway and Hamilton both shout "MINE". The players collide and the ball spills from Solway's hands, with Mitra looking on with amusement.
36.2 6 Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra charges down the track like an invading marauder and lifts a short delivery over long-on for six!
36.3 1 Hamilton to Mitra : Now that is just plain cheeky. Mitra pushes the ball directly to Chopra at mid-on and immediately took off, Mahmood aware of Mitra's intentions responds quickly and 1 run is scored.
36.4 1 Hamilton to Mahmood : Oooh... Hamilton had Mahmood jumping around a bit there, nice and nippy off the wicket causing the ball to fly into Mahmood's ribs, only a desperate flick of the bat preventing the sound of ball on bone.
36.5 1 Hamilton to Mitra : Mitra drops it at his feet and takes off. Mahmood responds to his partner's call and they comfortably steal a single. Hamilton doesn't look impressed.
36.6 1 Hamilton to Mahmood : Short ball and hooked straight to the man in the deep. Good fielding keeps the batsmen down to just a single.
End of over 37 (10 runs) - Black Cobas(151-3). 24 runs required from 3 overs. RR 4.08 RRR 8.00
A. Mitra 59 (58b), J. Mahmood 26 (37b) , J. Hamilton 7-0-41-1

37.1 1 Solway to Mahmood : Well... I don't know if that was a deliberate feint from Mahmood or whether he was caught in two minds, but his awkward looking shot sent Castles the wrong way at short mid-wicket and they run for 1.
37.2 . Solway to Mitra : Mitra slashes at it, but can't get it past point.
37.3 1 Solway to Mitra : Short, fast and wide ball from Solway. Mitra plays a gentle late-cut to third man and finds a single.
37.4 . Solway to Mahmood : Good tight bowling and Mahmood gets forward to block the ball's passage.
37.5 . Solway to Mahmood : Short ball from Solway, but the ball fails to rise above waist height. In fact, it almost bounces again before reaching Mahmood, who in his surprise only manages to pat it back down the pitch. Terrible cricket.
37.6 2 Solway to Mahmood : Mahmood has gone back to cut a delivery that wasn't really there to do so, as a result the ball takes the bottom edge, somehow avoids the stumps, and Mahmood collects runs. He doesn't miss out on the opportunity to give Solway a cheeky smirk, either.
End of over 38 (4 runs) - Black Cobas(155-3). 20 runs required from 2 overs. RR 4.08 RRR 10.00
J. Mahmood 29 (41b), A. Mitra 60 (60b) , J. Solway 7-0-27-0

38.1 2 Hamilton to Mitra : Played wide of mid-on and they'll come back for 2.
38.2 W Hamilton to Mitra : [catch] There's a noise as that goes through to Mullooly and Hamilton turns and appeals. Glove? Bat? Mitra's arthritic wrists playing up? Doesn't matter, umpire says it's out.
A. Mitra c A. Mullooly b. J. Hamilton 62 (62b 6x4 1x6) SR:100.00
38.3 1 Hamilton to Shazada : Hamilton a bit too short there, Shazada paddles it down to fine leg for a single.
38.4 . Hamilton to Mahmood : [great fielding] I'm sure Mahmood thought that ball was past Chopra, but he reaches out just in time. No run.
38.5 3 Hamilton to Mahmood : Driven on the up by Mahmood. Solway runs round the boundary and cuts the ball off well. He can't prevent the third run though.
38.6 3 Hamilton to Shazada : Shazada hasn't quite timed that one and it's a long chase for Eime from the covers. A great throw from the boundary but he can't stop Shazada picking up three runs there.
End of over 39 (9 runs) - Black Cobas(164-4). 11 runs required from 1 overs. RR 4.21 RRR 11.00
J. Mahmood 32 (43b), M. Shazada 4 (2b) , J. Hamilton 8-0-50-2

With the target being 11 from 6, M. Shazada came to the bat and put down 5 runs

Code:
39.1 2 Solway to Shazada : Full and whipped through the on side by Shazada for 2 runs.
39.2 2 Solway to Shazada : It was short outside off stump and Shazada got onto his toes, pushing uppishly off the back foot into the gap at cover. Miskin pursued and fired in a flat return.
39.3 1 Solway to Shazada : Sensible cricket by Shazada. A full pitched ball and he's just knocked it back past Solway. Mid-off runs round to cut it off but the batsmen pick up 1.

That left 6 runs from only 3 balls and J. Mahmood as he nearly finished the game but he played stragey and put it behind point for a single.

Code:
39.4 1 Solway to Mahmood : Mahmood shapes to shimmy down the wicket, then leaps back in his crease to work it away behind point for a single. Good, thinking cricket.

The second last bowl was a bad ball but M. Shazada didn't hit hard enough on the ground as the fielders came and took and hit the wicket to make M. Shazada out for 11 to make it only 3 runs from the last ball

Code:
39.5 2 W Solway to Shazada : [runout] Smart work from the fielder there and Shazada is run out comfortably.
M. Shazada run out (R. Miskin) 11 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR:183.33

The final ball came from J. Solway and it became a tie with Lewis punching it through the covers to get the Black Cobas through to the kids till the end Grand Final.
Code:
39.6 2 Solway to Lewis : Stands tall, punching off the back foot through the covers.
End of over 40 (10 runs) - Black Cobas(174-5). 1 run required from 0 overs. RR 4.35 RRR 0.00
J. Mahmood 33 (44b), Lewis 2 (1b) , J. Solway 8-0-37-0

The batsman of the Black Cobas became emotinal as they were cried because they made it through to the final. For the Winners or losers youth team they could of made history for the club but it wasn't enough.

This one is only a short preview but if you like the lay out then I will keep using it.

Winners or losers vs. Durantpookas (OD 6.20)

Last time they meet: Durantpookas beat Winners or Losers by 9 wickets

Weclome to this match between the Winners or losers and the Durantpookas where tommorow is a must win match for the Winners or losers if they have a chance of promoting into divison 5 of the OD. Now I will preview the Danger men for my oppents.

Durantpooaks big guns
Batsman: Hamza Nasser (Recent performances: 106*, 51*, 71)
Hamza Nasser is currently leading the table on runs in this team with a 500+ season and if he continues his good-run in the OD, then the Durantpooaks can rightlfy say that their team wil promote for Season 15 in Divison 5.

Bowler: Gregory Holcombe (Recent performances: 1/39 (10), 6/26 (10), 5/7 (6.4)
Gregory Holcombe has got 12 wickets in 3 games and will the be the destructive bowler for the team to bowl the other team out for 150 or under. He is the man that can end an innings for sure.

The pitch for the game will be a green top pitch and would be good for spinners and batsman could struggle on this pitch and with the Winners or losers top 2 bowlers in the club's history playing this game. Let's have a look at the betting

Winners or losers $2.40
Durantpookas $1.50

So that is the preview for this game and just before I leave, how many will my team, the Winners or Losers get against this top team. PM your answer and you could get 1,000 vCash for your hard work.

Hope your team wins this time. All the best for your team.

Won't be an good update. But just to inform you that I won 2 and lost 1 this week and it was my OD match that came a lost.
