I don’t think he has been too bad with the red ball.
His pace has also dropped significantly, he used to touch 150kph once but now only hovers above the 140 mark.

Because he’s been rotated quite well and has also worked on his fitness.
There’s a reason why they didn’t risk him in the entirety of 2016 in ODIs and only played him in tests despite him being our version of Starc in ODIs.
