Ben Stokes worst leave of the year... KL Rahul 'hold my beer'

It is high time we look past KL Rahul. He is yet another player who never made up to his talent. India has shit loads of talent and holding on to him is doing disservice to all others playing domestic cricket. He just looks horrible!

I feel for him man.

Some kind of mental blockage with him since past years.

Man had all the talent in the world and that aggressive game he had never really took off.

Is AI editing now? Foolishly watched a custom highlights video instead of an official. It ended on a boundary check, before the end of the match and the editing was as erratic as a Tim and Eric sketch (but not in a good way).

Emotional aspect aside, I believe he has been given a pretty long rope, across formats to justify his presence within the Indian camp. He has been tried out as a keeper in order to make him play in the XI. In an era where the BCCI can afford to(and it does for its players) provide counselling and health accesses, KLR shouldnt be having mental blockages.

I feel he was compelled to change his game given how fast it had become. The main problem with KLR being that he tried hard to fit into all formats. IMO, he was best suited for the longer format of the game and they could have honed him into the next Rahane (I wont say Pujara cause he is a tad more aggressive). Opening with Gayle in the IPL+playing freely somehow made him think he is cut out for the biggest league in terms of super aggressive plays. If KLR goes back to his 'Test mould' ,it might be good for everyone involved. That said though, one has to admit that time is running out for him here.
