His double century in Chennai is one of the greatest innings the ground has ever seen. Was one of the first modern ODI batsmen who revolutionized the format with his great strike rotation. Gone too soon.

So sad to hear Deano's passing. Saw him at the GT20 Canada tournament in 2018, said hello to him as he was coming out of the media box while I was walking to the stands. Seemed a very charming guy, off and on TV and I remember watching a Star Sports special where he was raving about biryanis and him really enjoying a South Indian breakfast in Bangalore.
