General Discussion

I'm quite interested in this. How complicated is it to make a simulator?

Sohum, is it possible if you could post the type of programmes you have been using to do all the parts of this project that you have got to so far? I've been looking at some basic programmes at the moment and am interested at looking at this in a deeper aspect. Would be nice for you to give me some tips and ideas for which programmes you were using.

I use Visual Studio 2008. It's a bit expensive to get if you don't have an academic organization to mooch off. You can use Visual C# Express or VB.NET Express as those are free.

I will be done with classes forever this Friday and after that have just one 20 page paper to finish up. So hopefully this will be back up and running fairly soon.

I'm going to restart it up in a couple of days. The T20 engine is about 90% done at the moment. Need to do some more tweaking on pacing and such. I've just been stuck up building a UI so that I can get it out to testers who can sim more matches and give me suggestions for pacing.

I would like to join as a beta tester...If you need any help then ask me I will be able to help.If you are using vb 2005 then I can help you out.

Well I'd be happy to run a Twenty20 cup to give the sim a whirl if you want sohum.

I hope to have a UI done by tonight. Found a copy of SAMS' book on Blend 2 and running through it as I type. Maybe tomorrow would be a better guess... but I am doing nothing else these days so I just need to get into the project again.

So 1 day wasn't quite a good estimate. I'm on page 408 of the 601 page book, so about 70% of the way there (accounting for the index and the fact that I'm going to skip the chapters on 3D and rich media).

Hopefully before PCPL 3. A lot of my ideas revolve around whether we are using this or Cricsim...
