General Racing Games

I've never even heard of it myself. :D But seeing as it's Logitech, I doubt it's bad!

I'm personally using this at the moment at the moment. I remember getting it for 20 quid in PC World, not sure why it would now be more expensive but there we go!

Hopefully replacing it with the Logitech G25 in the next few days however. Birthday tomorrow. :D

I used one of those at the GT4 LAN last October, the feedback through it is incredible.

Someone had changed the wiring on the pedals so that left pedal was brake rather than middle pedal. When switching seats, no one told one of the racers and the first corner at New York (reverse) on GT, he flies through the rest of the pack! :D

Right, I've got the game. But I'm really stuck on how to play. How do you race races and race in different cars ect? All I can seem to do is choose from a list of cars I have no idea about and race at a few tracks. Also I'm really poor at knowing when to brake and what have you, so is it that I just have to learn or is there some kind of help on knowing when to brake (I don't want the brake assistance).

Could someone give me a real run down of everything I need to know and how to play? I would really appreciate it.

Cheers :)

excellent choice stevie.. the G25 is what has been serving me superbly since christmas.. it really is mindblowing compared to its peers.

Just downloaded a F1 2007 mod for gp4 and I can stop playing it.I can edit all important settings in gp4 which makes it the best game ever.Hope someone makes a new F1 game.

How can you be good at these type of games i suck at them.

Practice, practice, practice. That's all it is. Just constantly drive around tracks on your own and once you know the track well move onto another. Once you get familiar to tracks it becomes more enjoyable and you get better as well.

Also, if you drive a real car, don't try and drive the simulated cars like they are real cars.

What happened last night Dan? I was hoping for a catch-up with you :)

Well I had another GT4 LAN (a group of racers meet up and race on GT4, set-up via ethernet cables), I came 2nd overall. I won the DTM pick'n'mix, I won the big league on Sunday, two leagues of 5, bottom 2 relegated from each race, top 2 promoted from second league. After 23 races me and 2nd were separated by just 4 points, I had 407 points, he had 403 points!

My team won the endurance at Motegi too.

Great fun. Will get some photo's uploaded when they get put up onto GTP.

Well, good for IGN, glad that they liked it. I agree with Madman, it is poor in my opinion, but then I've never liked drifting or arcade racers.

You can post all the reviews you want, you won't get me to like it.
