Been a while since this thread saw some action! I know GTR 2 will be released later this year, Formula One 06 for the PS2 and PS3 but can't find much else at the moment. Anyone know of good racing games that are coming out this year? And I don't mean games like NFS.

NetKar Pro has recently been released, and I would reccomend it to any one with split axis pedals, or you could soldier away with your keyboard.

Also rFactor which was released a while back has got tonnes of mods pouring out.

If you urrently own or can get hold of a legal copy of Nascar Racing 2003 the GTP Mod is highly acclaimed.


Thats about all I can get my head around for now.

Just wondering how many guys on here have rFactor, just so we could organise a pickup race every now and then on the various mods availiable.

I know for certain that myself and Stevie have the game, so anyone else with it or who is soon to get it can put their name down here.

i did have it... but i uninstalled it.. i just don't like the driving... it just doesn't suit my style, although rfactors V8 supercar mod is simply superb i like GTR2's driving heaps more.

Where you playing it with the default cars or a mod? I'm not sure how the default cars perform, but the mods really are to taste and what feels right to you.

It's a wonderful idea for a game, and I love it. The online play is the best I've experienced. The biggest problem with it (and it's a biggy) is the AI, which to be perfectly honest, is crap.

Have GTR2 as well now, which is my favourite since I found the Peugeot 908 and Audi R10 (pictured below):

I don't suppose you've played with the AI strength and agression sliders? If you have (can't remember if it was GPL or rFactor) there is some .ini file where you change a value to make them faster, something tells me it was GPL, but I can't remember.
