I somehow feel this as a 'Complete' story. Complete story in the sense - from start of the match till the end, every detail have been covered though there were some additional dinner shows :p

Keep it up, champ! :thumbs

Bangladesh U-19 Squad along with BCB officials.

With Under-19 World Cup about to begin in a week's time, Bangladesh U-19 Captain Mahmudul Hasan has made his intentions clear. "You can't go into a mission without setting a target," he said. "Our target is to make it to the last four in the World Cup, which we are capable of."

Speaking about his team, he said - "We have a strong fielding side. The batting has come together nicely. If I have to comment on the weaknesses, I guess we have a lot of room for improvement in the pace bowling area." Coach Minhajul Abedin wasn't vary that his team were unfamiliar with the NZ conditions . He was confident that their trip to England had given them a good experience playing in those conditions. He wasn't hesitant in supporting Mahmudul and said, "We have not managed to reach the semis in past events and therefore it is not a bad target to set and something we can achieve. I say this because from what I have seen so far we are probably at the standard of the top four teams in terms of strength. There is not a big difference."

According to Abedin, skipper Mahmudul, opener Anamul Haque and leg spinner Shabbir Rahman would be the key to their success in the upcoming U - 19 World Cup. He said, "The three will do well at any level. I am also excited with the fact that we are taking two specialist legspinners to New Zealand (Shabbir and Nur Hossain). As a part of the strategy, we may even open the bowling in New Zealand a la Dipak Patel in 1992. I have a lot of faith in this team. "

Bangladesh will look to improve on their U-19 World Cup record, having finished Plate winners in 1997-98 and 2003-04. They have been paired alongside Papua New Guinea (PNG), Pakistan and West indies in Group D, and begin their campaign against PNG on January 16 in Palmerston North.

Squad: Mahmudul Hasan (capt), Amit Majumder (vice-capt), Alauddin Babu, Anamul Haque (wk), Arman Badsha, Abul Hasan Raju, Kamrul Islam, Muminul Haque Showrav, Nur Hossain, Nurul Hasan (wk), Saikat Ali, Shabbir Rahman, Shaker Ahmed, Soumya Sarkar, Tasamul Hoque.

Are you going to cover this U19 series also? I would say, take Bangladesh international XI to semis of WC2011 rather than trying this U19 team. :) Anyways, looking forward to it.

Yeah agree with Surendar, U 19 players may be stronger in the U 19 section than the Bangladesh international team in the international circuit but I really dont any U 19 players

I like the idea. It's different. I think you should keep going. Or may be just update U-19 news/scores in between B'desh games, rather then following the U-19 all the way.

Its all up to you though. Do w/e you want, you are good at it. I am sure they will enjoy it

I'm not covering the U-19 WC at all. Only scores for Bangla matches. Main International series will keep going.

Cheers for all the support.
