No refuelling. Good or bad?

"Approved Modifications" will be allowed to be made to engines so I guess they can do a fair bit to improve engine power/reliability.

I wonder whether Kimi will bring his bad lucks with him in the Ferrari team.Or will the bad lucks stay in the McLaren camp and grasp Alonso?:D

I hope that Alonso doesn't win the title next season. I've never seen the passion and the gutsy driving that I love from drivers, watching him doesn't interest me at all. I hope that either Kimi or Massa win the title next year, I'm a true Massa fan now, he has so much passion for the sport, unlike Fernando "I'm going to win the title 3 times then **** off because I never need work again" Alonso. Alonso is also a massive hypocrite, slating Renault in the press then thanking them over the radio (this goes out to the watching public don't forget) for thier work "all season" when he was saying that there was a conspiracy against him not a month before.

Schumacher, I used to hate him, but I appreciate his immense driving ability this season and his iron will to win.

Alonsos driving isn't exciting? He's one of the fastest in the line ups, if not the fastest driver (now Schumis gone), he won't win it next season, McLaren will have to produce a huge shock to make me change my mind.

Because speed = excitement?

I see nothing exciting in his driving, I never see him try daring moves on track, and he doesn't have enough of a winning mentality, it's too much about points. I know that's how you win titles, but I'd rather see drivers going all out rather than settling for points.

I dont think you are going to be a happy bunny then. Current F1 rules make it very hard to overtake unless you are massivley faster on a straight. There is just no slipstreaming anymore. Modern circuit design isnt helping much either as almost all the new tracks seem to be scaled up karting circuits. Add to that the fact that the top teams are massively reliable and it just doesnt leave room for a "close your eyes and point" type manouvre anymore as one crash can cost you the championship these days.

If a driver doesn't have the car to win races (which he didn't in the latter half) then it'd be stupid to risk a title for points. He's an aggressive driver, just because him and Schumi rarely overtook each other (although Schumi would drive into him) doesn't mean he's not aggressive, Alonso is a class act.

Fuji might be better for overtaking than Suzuka.

Ecclestone has now said he wants the British and French Grand Prix's to alternate. Bernie seems hell bent on getting the British Grand Prix off the calander.

The BRDC have said that it does not make business sense for them to hold a grand prix only every other year but aparentley Bernie has said that the French GP organisers have been positive about the idea.

Well Silverstone would be able to run if it only had one every other year, they make most of their money from the GP, quite a high percentage from one event, maybe as much as 40%.

I can see him doing a certain ABBA rendition as we speak.

Well with just around 11 days to go, its the right time to bump this thread I guess

I am backing up Ferrari and Massa to win this time. According to my calculations, No chance for Renault this time without Alonso and no chance for Alonso as he is in McClaren which was not upto the expectations last season.

I miss Schumi in action though :( But Ferrari with Raikkonen and Massa seems to be very strong compared to others! Com'on Ferrari.. Com'on Massa.. Com'on Kimi.. Win this season! ;)

It's between Ferrari and McLaren. They've been trading fastest times throughout winter testing, although Massa was very quick in the recent test at Bahrain.

For the Brits, Lewis Hamilton has been comfortably the quickest. That may have something to with the fact the new Red Bull pants (David Coulthard), Davidson is still driving last years Super Aguri and the new Honda isn't quite there for Button. Great to see four Brits in F1 again though!

Renault have big problems. The car isn't as quick as last year, Fisichella isn't fast enough to win consistently and Kovalainen is in his debut season. I think they'll get the odd win here and there, but won't challenge the top two regularly.

I think I read somewhere that Super Aguri won't be launching their new car until 3 days before the start of the season, so basically the first race weekend is their first test session.

That would be correct! I wouldn't be surprised if it looked like last years Honda...

Yes, I wonder if they'll be able to get heat into the tyres ;)
