Graphics Card Update

I want to upgrade to a new graphics card about 256mb to 512mb less than $100.00, any brand, can someone suggest a good graphics card for me.

System Specs
Intel Pentium 4 2.66GHz
Motherboard: Intel D845PEBT2
Intel i845PE Chipset

I currently have a useless NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 400 (64Mb)

Your motherboard has AGP slot so you have to buy an AGP graphic card, have a look at this article http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/12/03/best_graphics_card/page5.html

x1950 Pro AGP would be a good choice.

Yep, if you can find an AGP x1950 then they certainly would be a good buy. Don't know what prices are like where you are but in the UK, you'd expect to pay about £100 for one. If you cant run to that the x1650 would be about half that price. Certainly in the UK, you'll struggle to find stock of AGP cards, they are available but you won't get a huge choice. Maybe thats different in SL.

Yes that should work fine. HIS, are an excellent choice, their coolers are the best around as well so you should be able to over clock well.

What version of windows are you using?
