Who do you think is the greatest West Indian batsman of all time?

Definitely a tough one to pick, Viv Richards was a great batsman along with the likes of Lara,Sobers and Headley.

In my opinion, here are my top 4 West Indian batsman:
1: Viv Richards
2: Garry Sobers
3: Brian Lara
4: George Headley

Probably Viv. Lara's more talented, but he didn't really put WI on the map or win them a ton of games. Viv did.

vivian richards the legend same as lara. There is no clive llyod in it.

It's a tough call between Viv Richards and George Headley. Headley was able to score runs in a young WI side, while Viv could smash the best bowling attacks.

Yaa true but vivian richards himself said that sorry if it is against toipic but vivian said that in my team when i was playing my team was having that time best bowlers like roberts holding and other so player like gavaskar border were in more pressure then me so he think that he is not better then other players may be he think he is not better then headley.

From what I have seen
Best Batsman - Brian Lara
Best Bowler - Ambrose
All rounder - Carl Hooper

Try watching videos of him on youtube....Anybody who has seen him bat would easily say that he was the most destructive batsman ever and he was a tidy bowler as well.....

What are you saying chainsnacher vivian richards bowler are you saying gary sobers.

No....Look at these stats for yourself and decide...Gary sobers was in a different league as a bowler but Viv Richards was a capable bowler...I never compared the two...Learn to read before posting like that....

Viv Richards - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

118 wickets in ODIs at an average of 35 is pretty decent for a batting all-rounder
223 in First class and 290 in list A matches....If thats not convincing for you to call him a bowler then I dont know how exactly to get this into your head....

I prefer watching live rather. In videos Sehwag is as destructive as anyone that has played the game.
