Ah. Meant as in compared to Lara. Lara was genius with his strokeplay. Beautiful to watch. Like poetry in motion. Next to that, Viv wasn't great.


Depends on what you call good technique though. I like Lara's style, Viv could be considered brilliant to watch too.

I think if you were making a list of the greatest test cricketers ever then Viv would be top 10 whilst Lara would just about make a top 20 in my opinion.

Viv played in a tougher era though, but he did have a quality side whilst Lara was much more on his own.

I think Viv was better but once Lara was going he was unstoppable. My favourite batsmen along with KP and Brad Hodge.

Too hard. Viv is the undisputed king of cricket, but Lara has played in a team that he has had absolutely NO support from over his entire career.

Too hard to judge, should be an 'equal' option.
