Group A (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia) - 11th Match Australia v Bangladesh

At least Pak are trying to go for the shots and not leaving everything for the last 5 overs *looks at Smith and Kallis*

They don't have much of a choice with the RR over 10. Anyways just sent cricinfo a seething email about their speed gun and where they should put it

That 1-handed catch from the cop has to be one of the calmest and greatest one handed catches I've ever seen.

did you guys see the catch by the policeman... damn we need him fielding for us instead of 'Butterfinger'

"Never mind the speeds that's coming up next to the ball description on this site today. No one bowled over 160. There seems to be some problem with the gadget"

That is what Cricinfo said earlier today during the Ind vs SA match. So yeah..

That guy must play some cricket, made it look far too easy for a normal security guard.
Clarke and Dussey doing the spinning duties before Smith, Dussey was effective, Clarke not so.

aussie1st added 4 Minutes and 23 Seconds later...

Smith with a wicket now :) Still haven't seen an LBW or Bowled so hard to know exactly where our bowlers are at.

Should have been caught for that 2nd one, fielder came too far in.

aussie1st added 13 Minutes and 31 Seconds later...

That's the one we needed, good over from Tait finished with the stumps flying for Boom Boom.

We suck =/

Failures of the game: Sami and Hafeez - I blame the captaincy on Hafeez as I'm not sure what Afridi was going for there...

It seems as though we were very fixated - things had to go to plan, and we had no flexibility.

Now, we need Australia to beat Bangladesh. Hopefully they don't let us down.

It was predictable that Sami would be smashed by the Aussies. Was Asif still injured? Or did they really play Sami over him

Clarke and Dussey doing the spinning duties before Smith,
.

Couple that with the fact that Mitch was promoted above Smith to #8 (which has been done before, it's not a random event), it begs the question: why are we playing Smith again?? Filling that all important '#9 who can play as a 3rd spinner' role?? :facepalm Ahh, whatever... They're not going to drop him now after a win. Hopefully he does well - however they use him, since he's a talented young kid. I just think our team balance is pretty awful at present.

I really like the Warner/Watson opening combo and hopefully they've given some friendly reminders that they can hit spin today, since I'm guessing most teams were planning on opening the bowling with a spinner vs Aus. And I don't think Bangladesh will fancy facing the 3 quickies, everytime I've seen them they've struggled against FAST fast bowling.

Clarke has no idea how to use Smith, bowling wise not too fussed about him coming in later as he wouldn't be the first to be overlooked for a part timer, see Pakistan. But Johnson batting above him is just plain silly, hes easily a better batsmen and hitter than him. You could probably have him coming in before Haddin.

Apparently he wasn't injured in the first game either...:facepalm
