Let's play 5 seamers then
It's BD anyway, just blow them away with pace.

I dont like Mohammad Hafeez at all, but coming to this tournament he is in great form. I dont see any need of replacing him just yet (We can replace him with Alam At no 3, though) It was Afridi's poor decision to continue with him when he was getting a drubbing. He played a poor shot to get out but he wasnt the only one.
Sami was found wanting in that over. Do remember that Butt dropped Hussey at the first ball of that over.
Probably should replace him with Asif, and give Asif and Razzaq the new ball. I know that means taking the new ball away from Aamir, but frankly we need Aamir at the depth. Or we could give Aamir a max of 2 overs at the start and let Razzaq and Asif continue.
Muhammad Hafeez is in great form in domestic cricket, point being some players can never rise to the international standard. Hafeez has habit of performing at domestic level and then he fails miserably once selected to play for pakistan. He has an ODI average of 18 with a strike rate of 53, and he used to open for Pakistan. His bowling is nothing special either. He was bowling right in the arc for Watson to swing.
You are right about Sami being unlucky with dropped catch of butt. But did you see what he bowled afterwards. He bowled as if he wanted to be hit. He bowled no yorkers, and no slower deliveries. After playing over 40 tests, you would expect a bowler to learn and adapt. I think its high time, Pakistan scraps these below average players from international cricket and let them rot in domestic tournaments.
Fair points. I'd still give Hafeez another go considering that would mean bringing in Latif, who I dont believe is a suitable inclusion. Looking at our bench players they are: Latif, Hammad Azam, Abdur-Rehman and Asif. So If we are to chuck both of them out the likely arrivals are Asif, and Azam/Latif.
Sami bowled exceptionally poor over, all his 4 bowls that went for 6s were of the same length. We bring in Asif and I read an article that he was praticising bowling at the depth or something across those lines. So it could be a suitable swap. My Final Xi for the next game, provided we make it
Salman Butt
Kamran Akmal (WK)
Mohammad Hafeez/Hammad Azam
Umar Akmal
Misbah
Shahid Afridi
Abdur Razzaq
Fawad Alam/Hammad Azam
Mohammad Aamir
Saeed Ajmal
Mohammad Asif
I like to see how Hammad Azam goes. We have a tendency of backing new players at big events and it has paid off for us, and this could be another time that it works. Alam down the order is a poor call, he isnt exactly a slogger and thats what we need there. If we want him to play, then maybe move him to no 3 instead of Hafeez cause Alam rotates the strike pretty well. Still looks a pretty decent unit if we click.
In the bowling we probably need Asif-Aamir-Razzaq to bowl the new ball, probably ball 3 overs from Asif and Razzaq and Two from Aamir if things go well. Afridi can come up then, and bowl a few overs of part-timers including Hafeez/Azam/Alam. Ajmal is probably gonna bowl in the ending of the innings though.
What do you think on the bowling Sami ullah? I still think we need someone to bowl out at the depth like Umar Gul did, and Aamir looks the viable replacement but that would mean sacrificing his new ball overs
Pace bowler Mitchell Johnson is in doubt for Australia's Group A World Twenty20 clash with Bangladesh on Thursday morning (EST) because of an elbow infection.
Johnson left Wednesday morning's (EST) training session to have medical treatment.
Following Monday morning's (EST) 34-run victory over Pakistan in St Lucia, Australia need another win against Bangladesh or a narrow defeat to confirm their progress to the Super Eightstage.
Ryan Harris is likely to come into the side if Johnson is ruled out for the game at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
Team physio Alex Kountouris said the left-arm bowler's infection was in his right elbow in the skin around the joint.
"He could probably play if it was the World Cup final tomorrow, but there's a lot of the tournament to go,'' he said.
