World Cup Group A - Pool Matches Discussion Thread

He hasn't been up for the fight with the bat for a lonnnnng time.

His problems have been against real quick bowling which is`nt really Bangladesh`s strength. England are still slightly ahead here. However, it would be completely different if they get Root and Butler.

Well Rubel and Taskin are no slouches with the ball, consistently hitting the 140+ mark.

The way Butler is going right now, they wont need Broad and Co. Bangladesh need to have them 7 down for under 200.

England still have the upper hand. Woakes, Stu and Jordan can all bat. If they take it to 70-80 from the last 10 with 4 wickets in hand, they can finish this off.

I couldnt really be bothered to be honest....rather go out than scrape through...this team is a mess and the management is to balme....England cricket needs a massive shake up and not through some or other "Lord" but someone who really understands grassroots cricket.......................

Once Buttler is gone it's game over.

absolutely - make the QFs and you can already hear the "take the positives", "areas to improve", "some good individual performances, we have to put it together as a team" paper going right over the cracks. we need a thorough disaster that can't be ignored (or blamed on KP as with the 5-0) to prompt a complete clear-out of the whole set-up: Moores: out; Clarke: out; Downton: out; Whittaker: out; Saker: shot.

they would try to shoot Saker but would no doubt miss....

Mashrafe still charging in with one gammy knee, great determination from him.

Once a side gets into quarters all it needs is three good days in the present format. Who knows, England might be on god mode when they go up against India as they've often been and progress to the semis. Then, it might not be a bad World Cup after all.

Its not about maybe maybe maybe....its about howing to approach the whole game....we have no idea....

it'd still be a bad world cup. We were humiliated by Aus, NZ, and SL, unconvincing against Sco and look like maybe scraping past Bangladesh. We have stunk out the whole competition.
