World Cup Predict the Groups - Quarters - Semis and the Final

Interesting to see no one is predicting Pakistan to reach the semis. I have my doubts with this Pakistani team myself but even a more troubled team got through to semi final in 2011. Write Pakistan off at your own peril.

Only predicting semi's and final.

1st semi:
SA vs NZ

2 semi:
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan

Final
SA vs Sri Lanka

Winner:SA

South Africa vs Australia final. Can't pick a winner. By far the best two teams in the world though.

Pakist are just too weak at this point and the last world cup was in favourable conditions, this is Australia.

Ireland making it into the quarter finals? That's a bold prediction! I highly doubt it, they might get an upset but the top 4 teams will be the usual suspects.

South Africa are a terrific team but they are chokers, much like Netherlands in football, I can't see them winning the crunch games.

Only predicting semi's and final.

SA vs NZ

2 semi:
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan

Final
SA vs Sri Lanka

Winner:SA

Again, shock picks here, I doubt Lanka and Pakistan make it this far, it's not an Asian cup this time

Kiwis are red hot at this moment but yeah I agree, SA and Australia are a class apart. South Africa is more balanced of the three sides with excellent batting, aggressive bowlers and top notch fielders. They only need to shrug that choker monkey off their back and they will win the WC.

Based on what? New Zealand are the third best equipped side in these conditions, but there's a big gap between the top two and the rest.

Based on them defeating both Australia and South Africa en route to making it to the finals on Sunday!

Easy to be smart after the event. One win against SA doesn't make them better than them. Performances over a period of 12 to 18 months would tell you SA and Australia have been by far the best in the world.

Additionaly NZ defeated AUS at the group stages whilst both India and Pakistan made a mockery of SA, 12 to 18 mths NZ may be world champions,or AUS certainly not SA. Its not about being smart but attacking at the right times, learn from the best there is playboy!
