Highly unlikely we will have Afridi open, it is either going to be Ahmed Shehzad with Salman, Shahzaib, or Kamran Akmal.

Possibly Afridi at 3 or 4, but definitely not opening. Although what I'm expecting to see is Ahmed Shehzad with Butt and then Kamran Akmal at 3, followed by Younus, Misbah, Malik, and then finally Afridi.

Shahzad and Afridi would be my choice openers. Akmal one down, and then Misbah, Younus, and Malik to solidify the middle order.

That was assuming it was a 10 over match. May as well throw him up there to see what he can do. Obviously 20 overs they will go with their usual lineup.

Even when it's 20 overs they should still have Afridi opening..let him use the first 6 overs with fielders inside. He can do more damage in first 6 overs rather than last 6 because of fielding restrictions. But I know for a fact that Pakistani team won't take this chance..

The main problem with the England side is- the issue of captaincy. Constantly changing the captains may have affected them badly. What they need is a full time captain to guide them through every format.

Pakistan may cause problems to an already battered and bruised England,but for that they need to get the Top3 perfect.
Maybe Shahzad opening the batting with Kamran would be a good idea. Misbah should come in next,as he is the type who will initially settle down for 3 overs before playing his shots.

Another option could be asking Shoaib Malik to open,seeing as he has the calibre and has done it in the past.

i really dont understand why waste a spot on a specialist spinner when you got 2 and maybe 3 spinners with the inclusion of fawad in the team.

Very smart organisation of England. South Africa vs Scotland will be played at the same stadium as England vs Pakistan. If one match gets ruined by rain, there is a chance the other one will be too.
