Pollards IPL stats need a bit of salt. The batting was nothing to boast of and his bowling will not be as effective at the International level.

Although I love his bowling action. His changes of pace were really effective in the ODI series here.

Pollard is an all rounder and Pietersen is a pure batsman. People seem to think that Pollard is a pure batsman and every time he fails to score runs he gets called a fail like he is a good middle order batsman.
I never said that his stats in the WC will end up being better then the ones in IPL. They might end up being better and they might not, we still don't know. But calling one guy a "dud" because he failed with the bat in his first year of international cricket at the age of 22 and then saying Pietersen is doing great because he did great in this IPL.
Compared to the props he gets Pietersen has been average or below with the bat and he offers nothing with the ball while Pollard who is an all rounder offers a good bowling option with the ball.

WI lost the first ODI to Zimbabwe in 2007 before their tour of South Africa and then won 4-1. Getting concerned over one loss or the replacement team losing to Bangladesh is just stupid.
Making a big deal over nothing. WI have had worst things happen to them off field then they have on field.
