7th August 2007 ? Extreme Championship Wrestling from Minneapolis, MN.

Segment One:
ECW opens with the usual fireworks and the camera changes to Joey Styles and Tazz. They welcome the viewers and have a discussion about who the new General Manager will be. With the commentators deciding on either Paul Heyman or someone totally new. They wait in anxiety and all of a sudden:

HERE COMES THE MONEY!

Shane McMahon appears by the entrance and takes a microphone. He welcomes the new GM... himself! This draws some major heat and McMahon announces his first move, a tournament for the ECW Heavyweight Title with the title match at SummerSlam. It will involve CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, Marcus Cor Von, Elijah Burke, John Morrison, Tommy Dreamer and ECW?s newest recruits, Harry Smith and Carlito! The crowd actually goes nuts and Shane walks away with the matches being randomly generated. Is Shane going to be nice for a change?

Rating: A

CM Punk vs Marcus Cor Von ? 1st Round Match:
The first match was a good choice. The opening exchanges were fairly even, with both men getting to grips with their opponent. Cor Von began to take an advantage and nailed a couple of hard belly to back suplex in quick succession. But Punk flipped out of one and tripped Marcus up with a toe hold and managed an Anaconda Vice! As Cor Von battled, he eventually gave in and tapped.

Rating: B

Segment Two:
As Cor Von recovered and delivers a Pounce to the Straight Edge, the scene changes to Carlito, standing in front of the camera. He tells the cameraman to put it on and the Caribbean superstar tells the ECW fans that he will prove he is the best, by beating an ECW original and eventually taking the gold. He munches an apple and looks at the camera again. He spits apple chunks at the screen and says that Tommy Dreamer is not cool. It switches back to Styles and Tazz, who talk about how disgusting and un-cool Carlito is, before hyping the next match, Elijah Burke vs Harry Smith.

Rating: A

Elijah Burke vs Harry Smith ? 1st Round Match:
Smith made an impressive start to his career, taking the fight to Elijah Burke with a series of hard kicks and tough suplex. He grabbed a two count with a flying cross body, but then Burke sprang into action with back hand chops and clotheslines. After a brief change in tempo, Harry Smith boarded the Elijah Express and was pinned for the Burke victory. After the match, Smith offered a handshake to Elijah, who accepted, but then heel kicked Harry onto the canvas.

Rating: C

John Morrison vs Rob Van Dam ? 1st Round Match:
The next match featured two of ECW?s best fighters, RVD and Morrison. Rob Van Dam took the early momentum, as he took the fight outside the ring and at one point onto the ramp in a desperate attempt for a quick victory. After more exchanges in the ring, Van Dam went for a Rolling Thunder, but John moved and flying leg dropped RVD. But it wasn?t enough as Morrison?s cockiness cost him. He appealed to the crowd and RVD played possum, getting the one, two, three!

Rating: B

Segment Three:
As the scene changes to backstage, a tense Tommy Dreamer is making his way to the ring for his match and we are reminded that Carlito will make his in-ring debut after the break?

Rating: C

Tommy Dreamer vs Carlito ? 1st Round Match:
Dreamer was obviously fired up, as he came straight for Carlito. He performed a number of pile drivers and even hit Carlito with his kendo stick when the referee was floored, however as Dreamer turned and went for the weapon again, Carlito, pretending to be out of it, used the Backstabber and scored a cheap win, to the disbelief of the crowd and even Carlito.

Rating: B

Segment Four:
As Tommy Dreamer holds his back, Carlito takes the opportunity to spit apple in his face, declare him un-cool and stand tall. After the commentators say their goodbyes, the computer decides the 2nd round matches, CM Punk vs Elijah Burke and Rob Van Dam will take on? CARLITO! The Caribbean superstar is shocked, as ECW ends?

Rating: B

Overall Rating: B

Quick Results:
CM Punk over Marcus Cor Von to progress to the 2nd round of the title tournament.
Elijah Burke over Harry Smith to progress to the 2nd round of the title tournament.
Rob Van Dam over John Morrison to progress to the 2nd round of the title tournament.
Carlito over Tommy Dreamer to progress to the 2nd round of the title tournament.

Friday Night Smackdown! - Preview
10th August 2007

Friday Night Smackdown rolls into Oklahoma City, where things are set to boil over after a crazy show last week.

First of all, Theodore Long announced those Pick Your Poison matches for Batista and Randy Orton, the World Heavyweight Champion. With Edge mostly like to face the Animal, who will be Orton's opponent? There is a line of people who would like to fight the Legend Killer, but who Batista choose as his poison?

Cryme Tyme have been relocated to Smackdown and will debut this week against the champions, Deuce & Domino. Can the lovable gangsters score a win on their Friday Night debut? Or can the Throwbacks gain some confidence by defeating JTG & Shad?

Rey Mysterio is no stranger to title shots. But he meets Montel Vontavious Porter in a non-title match this week. With a match scheduled for SummerSlam as revealed by wwe.com, which man will take the upper hand into their showdown? All we know is MVP's sidekick, Finlay will have some say in the match.

PLUS: The Cutting Edge returns and strange happenings backstage will be explained..

The Scheduled Matches:

Batista vs ??? - Pick Your Poison

Randy Orton vs ??? - Pick Your Poison

Cryme Tyme vs Deuce & Domino - Non-Title

Rey Mysterio vs Montel Vontavious Porter - Non-Title

PREDICTIONS ARE WELCOME!

Cryme Tyme vs Deuce & Domino
Rey Mysterio vs MVP
Batista vs Mark Henry (guess)
Randy Orton vs The Undertaker (guess)
If i get both of my selections right (e.g i pick who will be in the match and who wins), do i get 2 point.
