Hindi Cinema Discussion

Whats there to understand in Inception? I am not a desi pendu who need to watch English movies 5 times to know whats happening.

Its sheer pleasure of watching and loving the movie than "oh my god what scene" when everything is computer animated. Everything being hyped in western world and fans does not mean I have to like it, Avatar is another example.

I love action genre and yeah I can watch Expandables again as well.
I kinda agree... its to each his own... I didn't like Avatar either, though I loved Inception...

Saw Usual Suspect as well on DVD but having watched Chocolate spoilt that film for me as I knew after Kaizer Soize name was mentioned in film what the ending was.

Damm these Bollywood thieves.

Watched Peepli live. Honestly, nothing special. Felt it was dragging on, and it was only like 2hrs. 1.5/5.

I really do no think it deserves that low rating. I agree the story felt draggy at certain times. But I think it delivered the message wonderfully for a political satire. I enjoyed watching how the Indian media is portrayed in the film. :laugh
I agree it was nothing brilliant but it wasn't terrible either. A passable movie :)
2.5/5

I watch Lafangey Parindey. To be honest with you the script is decent enough, but I did not feel any chemistry between the two lead pairs. I mean I didn't feel any sort of attachment with either of the main characters!
The ending was just to convenient and cliched.
Rating 2/5

Watched 'I Hate Luv Storys' yesterday. Not a bad film, but it wasnt great that I can watch it again. Sonam was looking so awesome. Imran is hardly bearable (such a limited talent actor, his expressions at certain places makes me go red). Samir Soni (the director who spoofes Karan Johar, Bhansali, etc) is very good.

Rating: 3/5

Very bad weekend coming up. No film worth watching in theaters.

Hello Darling is only one I have not watched. :doh:facepalm

You dont like Kajol, sid? I will watch WAF only for my dear Kadz. Love her so much! I am ready to bear Kareena's antics just for Kajol. I am getting bored of Karan's films. Too obsessed with Hollywood, the guy. MNIK was like a Hollywood chick flick style film, and WAF promises to be another one. Kurbaan was also styled pretty similar, though the theme was different. Miss the Karan of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. He is now completely sucking up to the NRI audience (I am part of it, but I want the Indian-ness in the films).

Nothing with acting or other skills of Kareena. Its bit more personal.
