I'm not trying to be funny here but the point isn't about whether the movie is better or not I was merely objecting to the notion you can rate one movie better than another without actually watching said movie.

Your point will hold good just that I think you do not fully understand the comparison that is happening. Had it been any other film than 3I, I would have supported you.

But the thing is, liking one film or the other is purely an individual's own perspective. There is nothing called "the fact". Its all a collection of individual's perspectives.

Anyways, I agree that 3I is better (after having watched both). But 3I was more of a comedy film with the feel good elements added a lot to it, Robot is a sci-fi film with lots of special effects and technical wizardry. Put any sci-fi film and you will probably say 3I is better (even without watching that particular sci-fi film). Because we have a preset notion about the genre of sci-fi versus comedy.

Ah, so you are just like Pranav. My bad! What makes you think I like only Rajnikanth films and I believe his films are the best ever? I am a fanatic of Rajni, but I also have the maturity to accept other better films if they come by. Sivaji is not even close to Rajni's best ones.

For me, Matrix and Avatar are not as good as 3I. I enjoyed 3 Idiots far more than these two films.

Well I don't agree with your argument that both are different genres so you cannot compare. Terminator 2 is one of all time best movies and it is a sci-fi movie and can be compared with any other movie like Titanic.

I hated Terminator 2. Couldnt get past 10-15 mins of it. Dont know why, because at that time lot of people raved about it. Well, different tastes yet again.

I m not from South India, nor a crazy Rajni fan and for me Robot is definitely one of the best movie for the year 2010.

Yes, for the most part, Avatar gave me headache. I cant just keep watching the special effects for such a long time without an interesting storyline. It was like a Bollywood movie with just the outstanding special effects. Comparing Avatar with 3 Idiots is an insult to 3 Idiots.
