wheres the proof of 40 films releasing though?

The modern films this days are hardly 2.30 hours and the last one which crossed 3 hrs was Mera Naam Joker of Raj Kappor (:hpraise)

Not really.... Lagaan was over 3 hrs. Why not, the recent 'Jodhaa Akbar' was almost close to 3.5 hrs. But these instances are rare. Ashutosh Gowariker (the director of Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar) believes in taking these looonnnggggg films (even his Swades was more than 3 hrs).

Where did you get that info? Our longest film in recent times, Jodhaa Akbar was just 3.3 or so hrs long. And its a rarity. Most of our films are 2 hrs 40 mins or so in length approximately.

I think the DVD release of Jodhaa-Akbar was almost 4 hours. It came on two DVDs and both of them were full (not of bonus features).

There are obviously going to be a bunch of movies out now that the strike is over. I'm looking forward to a few whose names I don't recall. So far I've been disappointed with New York and Kambakkht Ishq.

i loved the act russell peters did about indian movies it was so funny!!! and as for the length, ghajini was ver three hours aswell,

I can't believe 40 movies releasing this month. It means each day 1 film will release. Maybe he has just seen this anywhere and posted this here.

I am looking forward to Agyaat. I have watched the trailer, and it looks to be an interesting movie. Though, nothing about the plot has been revealed yet, I think the story is about some killer carnivorous plant or something like that. Sounds strange? Well, you watch the trailer carefully, and you'll get what I'm trying to say. It's a horror film, but doesn't look to be any ordinary "ghost" film. It's something quite interesting, really interesting.

89 Cinemas and Fame, both are far far better than Inox. I have been there thrice. It sucks.

CINEMAX is TOO Pricy man....400 Rs for the red lounge at 12 noon is just OTT.

Fame adlabs is good enough for its price....so is Fun Republic..

Hey Indian films.

Boy + Girl, boy loves girl, boy gets beaten up a bit sings a few songs, then ends up together with the girl.

Not all indian films are like this.Try to see some malayalam films or some recent tamil films they are really better.
