Either of you sneak a peak at the bowler's confidence? Maybe this is what happens when they hit rock bottom.

No but that couldn't be the reason as the bowler was bowling just his third or fourth over

I could very well relate this. I went through the same experience a couple of weeks back. Basically, I hit rangana herath for two fours and he went insane after that. Bowled 16 Wides in an over.

i had similar but with no balls

Is being a conservative/aggressor/brute type batsman just random? If not, can you change it?

Finally got around to playing my first test match for England...enjoyed the batting and got 33 from 40 before getting caught at point reverse sweeping.

Got 3 for 61 from 16 overs as we beat Zimbabwe by 192 runs and an innings - Didn't understand quite why we opted to use the follow on, they were bowled out just before the end of day 2. Found the batting relatively easy, but didn't do so well in the bowling, didnt get that many overs in (2 other spinners in the team! think the real England team needs that many) and obviously with no indicator its a bit trickier.

Started as a batting all-rounder bowling leggies. Into my second season playing for Hampshire and got contracted to play for Victoria, but could only break into the first class side. Just got picked for the Aussie test side after taking about 150 wickets at at around 12 a piece while averaging 20 with the bat. It's definitely a step up, went out for a golden duck, getting caught behind off Morne Morkel. I'm bowling a heap of overs for the test side, and while I've been able to keep my economy rate down, I'm finding it a lot harder to take wickets.

Started a career as a no. 3 batsman with base team as Delhi. Am really struggling at the moment without a single 50 and with a first class career average of under 6 after 15 innings. I have gotten to a 40 though so I think I am getting the hang of batting.

started my first career as a #3 batsman and after 3 seasons i'm still mostly rubbish. a few 50's and a top score of 70. my average is only about 12 so i started a second career as a bowling all-rounder.

doing much much better as that and as a result, finding batting better also due to less pressure :)

Just stared career on pc.

Batting four for Warwicks at Middlesex in First Class and notched 49 and 6 on debut.

Gutted when I pulled Finn straight to Rogers at square leg to miss out on a half century :(

Following on from my earlier post, here's my bowling stats.

My batting is coming along but I'm glad I'm getting points for my bowling, or my career would be going nowhere :p

Hit my first 100. Was awesome feeling. But the average is still about 10 only:mad
I am batting pretty well now so I guess it will get better. One thing though, being only a batsman really feels lacking. You come you bat then you simulate. Rarely do I get an over. Every time I see the simulation window I keep wishing that my captain brings me on. Should have made a batting allrounder:(

yeah my first career guy, the specialist batsman has been thrown the ball a few times, but very rarely. i've taken 7 wickets for about 30 though so you think the skipper would bring me on more often :p
