Play shots through the off side with both L2 & R2 pressed, i.e. play aggressive ground shots. For some reason aggressive ground shots are quite less likely to result in an edge when you play to the off side.
I've found that on the PC version both of these shots give out the same amount of edges.

Had probably the exact opposite experience of the game with the OD match that followed that gruelling FC effort.

I got 5 wickets in an innings, with figures of 5-26 off my 10 overs, three of those were edges, including one thick edge to gully. The other two were undeserved and simple caught and bowled dismissals, but I'll take them.

The strangeness came in the form of the batting innings - where I came in to bat with us at 7/81 chasing only 151. At the other end was Maxwell, who is someone who usually gets double tons and otherwise ruins any chance I have of getting MOTM - he was on 8 off 48 balls. I smashed a four off the first ball - the AI had all the fielders close in, so if I hit over the top, I was safe and got fours easily. I got out for 18 off 13 balls, edging to slip.

Seemed to do the trick though - as Maxwell ended up being not out on 46 with us winning with 1 wicket in hand. I got MOTM!

Dunno if it's just the pitch differences or something - but there's a giant gulf between the OD and the FC experience.

Another voice for requesting the ability to drop formats from your career - and be a ODI/T20 specialist without all the forfeiting.

Had a similar experience were i won the match single handedly for my team in a t20[ legend difficulty], was one of those days especially coming in from a rut of 20s and 30s.

Came in to bat at 33/2 and had to do bulk of the hitting with batsman at the other end just comingin and going out, got 81[53] and got outi nlast over trying to push the score to the max.
it was a low total of 149 with very less chance of defending, simmed first 13 overs and the opposition was in a good state of requiring 39 of 42 with quite a few wickets in hand and produced probably one of my best bowling in t20s just sticking to line and length and spinning it in and out and mixing top spinners. Gave almost nothing in my 4 overs 4-2-3 and took 3 wickets also set fields and rotated the bowler at the other end as captain, lead the team to victory and bagged motm,. this was the first time i felt like i have totally won a match singe handeldy in both bowling and batting felt great. Especially coming from a bad patch with both bat and ball., i think only 2 or 3 match before this i got hit for 3 6s in my final over trying too many things.

Certainly the game is a blast at times in limited overs matches.

Finally scored a 50 in career after a very long time....Was comfortable today with the shots and played a wrong shot to get out...Short delivery down the leg and pulled that just to get an edge and the WK took a diving catch...Felt very realistic....Scored 59 and in the next OD I played the finishing role where I scored 20* off 19 balls...:D

@fiction Had 2 moments where the ball was near the WK but he did not even try to attempt the catch...Add this to the list for sure...

Am going through a lean patch at the moment and my FC average has dropped from 51 to 45 :( Run outs and bowled behind my ass seem to be the most common dismissal in this stretch. Still doing ok in shorter formats though.

Mine as well from 56 to 40 and from 45 to 35 in OD but that drop has happened after the patch 2.5...Many many edges...

This career was created post patch 2.5 so can't blame the patch. I need to get better at playing fuller straight deliveries as I end up sliding across the crease way too many times and getting bowled. Can't figure out the reason why that happens.

You shouldn't hold left stick before hitting the shot or during runup
