I started an all-rounder on Pro mode. After failing my first few FC matches, I made a 44 and a career best 14-10-8-3.

One question though, is bowling harder on pc now than a few months back? I'm asking because I saw posts of people saying they easily took 5 fors as 16 yo yet I'm struggling to pick up a wicket a match.

I have been playing career mode on rookie then gone up to amateur at international level and yes its too easy but hey that's what I like im a fast bowling all rounder and pick up lots of 5 fors and 10 wickets in a match often just occasionally the captain will let me bowl a few overs and others will pick up more wickets since patch 3 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 was installed today I have found wickets harder to come by and batter a little bit diffuclt. Has anyone else found this even in rookie level? maybe this is also installed in patch 3.?

Hey everyone, I'm a first time poster here, though I've been reading on here for quite a while! Ok so I started a career as "Temba Bavuma" my friend in real life and South Africa batsman and at first I really struggled, averaging 15 and feeling quite bad about my chances. But in my last two games, move scored 49 and I just made my first ever Ton! Words can't explain how nervous I was in the nervous nineties but finally I gotta a ball outside my off stump and cover drove the ball for a glorious 2. I eventually made 106 off 135 balls. I am ecstatic! :wave

Made a century in the first game I played with patch 3 - that too at T20 game. Woot!

Have lost 2 consecutive games against the new aggressive AI after patch 3. The game feels like a new one again.

Need to up my game, should be challenging.

Can we check the level of difficulty we are playing in a Career mode ?
Yes, check in batting/nets practice in career mode what difficulty you are on.

Try in change it in the batting/nets practice in career mode or your settings in the Cricket Academy. I haven't played any other match types after installing patch 3, only career.
In career mode, main screen ; press select to change career difficulty.

I hadn't played in a looong time (waiting for the patch). Loaded up my career player and to my surprise my first game was my ODI debut (NZ vs SA, Pro difficulty). Happy to make 76 from 58 on debut. Next match bottom-edged a sweep onto the stumps for 0 (4), followed by a torturous 5 (22) in the decider (series NZ 1-2 SA).

At the moment I average mid-30's in List A. 16 x 50's, 4 x 100's.

Will play more today!

After the upgrade system(PS3) looks really healthy. My experience with AI is still same though i see people commenting it to be more aggressive.
Batting average is 60+ (New career, so far in 10-12 Innings ). Haven't tried bowling yet but will try it soon once i get my hands on batting.
AFA selection status is concerned still haven't been selected for any of big matches but status shows "GETTING ATTENTION".

coming in at #3 in a T20 game when we need 100 off 3 overs just means turning the game off and playing the match again. I'm quite happy to have a bit of a challenging total to try and chase down but sod that.

Not sure what's changed since the last career I had (it was about a year ago) but I just completed the English season and was leading run scorer in all forms, won division 2 and both limited overs trophies but didn't get selected by an aussie state side. Selection status never changed past "good chance"

Weird.

One thing I have never understood with Bradman is the point skill system in career mode.

Well I get the concept +1 point for flat bat or +1 for front foot skill and so on.

If you were playing a first class game and you perfectly time and play a sweet cover drive you could get +1 but if you were to hit a spinner for six over his head with the ball landing on row one you could get +2.

Surely the cover drive is worth more points for first class than hitting a six in that format of the game? With big hitting more useful for your limited overs.
