I started an ashes series today, really enjoyabe but just way to easy, could be a one off tho as i have never had such an easy test.
It was first test at cardiff on hard, started very good with strauss and cook making a partnership of 169 before losing strauss just 5 away from his century, shorty after cook went on 82 which is not bad either, so at this point i was very happy. Im not going to go into massive detail on every batsmen score, but pietersen was out on 104 and collingwood made a massive 220 as he dominated with the bat for most of the day.
I came up to the 690 odd mark by the end of the day for 8, before this i was thinking of declaring as i didnt believe they would come close, but i stuck the day out as i was still on day 1. As morning of day 2 approached i began to slog and lost a wicket and made only 19 more runs and was 709 for 9 and decided to declare and began to bowl and had a slow start, they gained 60 odd runs before i picked up my first wicket. They finished there 1st innings on a small early 200s to my pleasing but also to my disgust, swann picking up 5 wickets as i had no fun with the fast bowlers.
It then came to my decision whether to enforce the folow on or not, and as i was leading by a big 500 odd still of course i did and i began to bowl once again and had them all out for just 160 odd around lol. I won the match by 300 odd runs and an innings my biggest win yet a thrashing. Graeme swann picked up 6 wickets this time, the day 2 pitch really showing effect as i had no hope with the fast bowlers once again.
Few positives out of the match tho i was abe to get an lbw and work out how to get them and had a few appeals leading up to the one i got and i have now figured out how to get lbws, also i was able to stop stupid runouts there was none, one on my innings tho lol.
