It wont work out. Didn't any of these idiots work out that it would kill cricket!?
To put it simply;
No kid would want to be a bowler growing up. They will all want to follow in the footsteps of there heroes who are smashing sixes. They wont want to follow in the footsteps of someone getting hammered out of the ground.
It only takes 1 second of thinking and actually using your brain. No one would want to be a bowler and you cant play cricket without bowlers.
Test cricket is not dying, and it never will. It is much more entertaining and competitive then Twenty20 cricket. Twenty20 is extremely boring, especially considering if you hit 180-200 in your twenty20 and you take 2 early wickets its practically game over. In test cricket, if your losing after the first innings a well structured and smartly batted innings can save you, or if your fielding, a determined and fierce session or 2 can get you right back into the game.
Actually stop and think about it for a second. Twenty20 wont save cricket, nor will it become the most favored format.
