I am currently going through the World 11 series, and im am bowling as Australia, to the Northen Hemesphere, currently on strike is Lara on 111 and Sahwag 78, they are currently on a partnership worth somthing in the region of 225 and im getting pretty annoyed, ive tried spin, swing, straight EVERYTHING, anyone n e ideas about how to bowl one of them out, i usually have trouble bowling to left handers, but lara is another thing

I would say enjoy the fact that the Computer has actually scored some runs!

Other than that, try sticking to a line and length for a few overs, swing 5 away, one in, and keep plugging away, should strike eventually :)

i dont have the game...but i feel that they have such a big partnership b'coz u r playing against a world 11 team and to two class batsmen

I agree with puddleduck, this is what the game is supposed to be like. A partnership of this kind isnt unrealistic its what many of us would love the computer to score. I'd also agree with puddleduck, bowling a good line and length is the way to go, try and vary the pace abit too. I've never had much luck with spin so I'd stick with pace, or if you have any in your team try a medium pacer and bowl full just outside the line of the stumps and swing it back in at the last moment, you might get him lbw or bowl him. (You might get hit for 6 also though)

A good way to do it this:
Get a spinner, and bowl and half-volleyish ball at the fastest pace you can on middle stump (They'll probably hit you for six) then ball a ball in the same place with no speed and they usually chip it to a fielder.

Thanks for the idea's people, im greatful, the partnership has been going on from just before lunch break and its now the end of the day 2, they are scoring at around 2 and over, then i make about 3 maidens then they hit me for 18 - 20 in one over, ill try 5 outswinger with a inswinger, thank you, and i shall go try it now :D

Bowl outside the stump zone and he'll pop up it up or move it away at 8 meters and change the direction when the ball is in the air and he'll tip a oops near the stumps!

wat level u playing on??? try swinging yorkers- start the ball WAY outside leg and swing it away i.e 2 the stumps OR bowl leg-cutters that swing in OR try bowling a short leg-cutters on middle, swinging away at bout 100kph, he shud lift it straight 2 gully.

Good luck

Thats the annoying thing about BLIC - either you bowl a team out for 30 or they put on a big partnership. Get these two and the rest will be easy pickings. Helpful advice, i know. ;)

If line and length bowling and varying the pace don't work, then I bowl bouners with my quicks. Have a silly point, silly mid off, silly mid on and 2 men behind square on the legside just in case he goes for a 6. You will go for a few no balls, but it always works for me against right handed batsman. I find it much harder to pull off against lefties though.

Use McGrath + Lee and swing some fast ones in but make sure it hits the stumps in line. That is how i crushed the World XI in 10 overs.

ok, there are some usefull tips here.

I'd also try an occasional swinging full toss. Start outside off and swing it in.

I also try bowl with a off spinner, deep third man, gully, 2nd slip and point fielders. The rest don't really matter, bowl some fast then slow full outside off, they will either get caught in the gully or slips.

Agression aghhhh charge

My philosphy is simple , when i cant get some one out then i get very aggressive ...like get 3 slips in plus gully ...3rd man ...fine leg a short mid wicket ...then i get the fastest bowler in the attack i bowl short and try to hit the batsmen like kill him ..keep trying the length till u keep popping him on the head ...forearm ...after a while i get a slow medium sort of bowler and bowl full ....this somehow works as the batsmen try to hit shots and get bowled caught in slip or lbw ....but the word is aggression ....short and keep hitting them its loads of fun :D ....plus it makes them real desperate for runs ....but as a thumb rule always atleast bowl a couple of bouncers in a over ...and then mix it up with a few yorkers ...specially reverse swing :cheers

I know how you feel yesterday in a ODI Symonds and Clarke absolutel hammered me for a 221 partnership butyou will get him. I brought my spinner on (Mushtaq) and pitched in the footholes and HALLEUJAH!. Clarke goes. They then made 307-8
