Hunting Tigers ~ Review of the First Cup Game.

Welcome back once again for the review of the first Cup game which took place today at Ratnagiri CG. Its the first game of this Season 3 as well for Hunting Tigers.

Code:
[B][COLOR="DarkGreen"][COLOR="Red"]
Date: [/COLOR] 	23/09/2007  	[COLOR="Red"]Ground:[/COLOR]  Ratnagiri CG
[COLOR="Red"]Pitch: [/COLOR]	Green 	[B][COLOR="Red"]       Weather:[/COLOR][/B]  sunny[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Purple"]HuntingTigers won the toss and elected to field.[/COLOR][/B]

Its quite obvious to field first on green pitch conditions which would suit the bowlers more than the batsmen. Also, with risky bowling line up for Hunting Tigers, the captain felt that its safe to chase the score whatever the opponent comes up with. So, no hesitations for the skip, Alshaun to bowl first.

Ratnagiri CC v HuntingTigers (1485465).

cupgameab0.jpg

With stadium packed with good amount of crowd(not expected amount turned up though), the match started and Hunting Tigers shared the new ball with Macdonald and Mulligan.

0.1 W Macdonald to Padayachie
A slower delivery... and he's out. He played all round that and got a top edge to mid on.

Very first ball of the very first game produced the wicket which brought a huge smile in manager's face atlast after yesterday's very disappointing progress with Youth Pulls and Financial status.

This was the very promising start to the Season 3 as well. Its also to be noted that many of the Hunting Tigers members did not turn up for the match because their(opponent's) stadium did not have exclusive members arena. :( The fans just refused to watch from standing/uncovered arena. ;)

2.1 W Macdonald to Moodley
Macdonald fires it in short, Moodley ducks, his bat held high. The ball doesn't bounce as much as he expected and it crashes into the 'periscope' and lobs up to third man.

4.4 W Macdonald to Mohammed
That's an absolute bobby-dazzler! Clean bowled.

Macdonald's experience clearly destroyed the top order. The batsmen had no clue about this bowler. It seemed to be a very attacking/aggressive bowling from Macdonald. In particular, Mohammed stood confused at the crease after being bowled by a beauty of Macdonald.

Ratnagiri CC were clearly struggling after loosing quick three wickets in very first five overs.

End of Over 5: 9-3, runrate=1.80

Macdonald 3-0-4-3

Abdul kadir* 2 (4 balls)
Singh 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Mohammed b. Macdonald 3 (FOW: 9/3)

Then came the heroic performance from Mulligan who was supporting his partner very well. Its to be noted that, its been ages since Mulligan has played for his club. He was expected to play a supportive role today but he did more than expected.

5.3
W Mulligan to Abdul kadir
Rampaul made a spectacular dive there, not sure if it was necessary but it was effective.

7.6 W Mulligan to Karthikeyan
He plays all around a straight one and is plumb in front.

9.4 W Mulligan to Singh
A ferocious in-swinger. Singh had absolutely no chance. Bowling from the top drawer.

9.6 W Mulligan to Malik
Plumb! Superb bowling from Mulligan. He bowls that full and nearly in the blockhole, it swings into Malik and hits him on the boot, simple decision for the umpire.

The opponents were just loosing wickets at quick intervals without knowing what to do against the Hunting Tigers. The captain, Alshaun was also delighted to extreme extent like his Manager. :) Mulligan and Macdonald almost finished off their batting line up in first 10 overs.

End of Over 10: 16-7, runrate=1.60

Mulligan 5-2-4-4

Haishen* 0 (1 balls)
Hamed 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Malik lbw b. Mulligan 0 (FOW: 16/7)

With just three wickets remaining, it was finished too soon after the opening bowlers were stopped. Alshaun operated with Baloch and Bolland and they finished the remaining part.

14.1 W Bolland to Hamed
There is no sweeter sound in cricket than the sound of the bails clattering to the floor, so it's no wonder that Bolland is pleased. Bowled him!

17.3 W Baloch to Rampaul
That's jagged back from outside off stump and popped up off the gloves of Rampaul, an easy catch by Rampaul.

18.1 W Bolland to Haishen
Tossed up outside off stump, the ball lands, spins the other way, and Haishen can only get half-forward and poke at it with an open faced bat. Rampaul leaps, cat-like, to take a superb catch behind the stumps.

Thus the opponents showed no resistance throughout the innings and got all out within 20 Overs. The scoring rate was also poor with around just 1RPO. This brought Hunting Tigers in commanding position.

Code:
[COLOR="Red"][B]Ratnagiri CC :   29-10, runrate=1.53[/B]
[/COLOR]

[B][COLOR="Black"]Name  	        O  	M  	R  	W  	nb  	wd[/COLOR][/B]

[COLOR="DarkGreen"][B]Macdonald 	7 	2 	12 	3 	1 	0
Mulligan 	5 	 2 	4 	4 	0 	0
Baloch 	        4 	 1 	7 	1 	1 	0
Bolland 	2.1 	 1 	1 	2 	0 	0
Wotton    	0       0 	0 	0 	0 	0
[/B][/COLOR]

With the small target of 30 runs, Hunting Tigers openers arrived in very relaxed manner. Absolutely there was no tension in Tigers dressing room. Everyone there, including the manager were excited with all the actions that took place today. Openers, Bartlett and Rampaul got ready to chase that low score.

Code:
[COLOR="Black"]0.6 	[B]4[/B]	Bhutia to Bartlett
 	 	Wallop! One bounce and it's four runs, nearly concussing the photographer that foolishly got in its way.

1.3 	[B]4[/B]	Rampaul to Rampaul
 	 	Rampaul showed Rampaul absolutely no respect there! It was a decent delivery pitched up on off stump, but Rampaul carved it over cow corner for four runs. Rampaul does not look happy at all!

1.6 	[B]4[/B]	Rampaul to Rampaul
 	 	Lift, picked up just over slips, third man running in vain to stop the boundary.

3.1 	[B]4[/B]	Rampaul to Rampaul
 	 	Rampaul went down on his knees as if to propose, but proceeded to dispose the ball over to the boundary.

3.3 	[COLOR="Red"][B]3(Winning Runs)	[/B][/COLOR]Rampaul to Rampaul
 	 	Rampaul makes room and hammers it through extra cover, runs hard and comfortably makes it back for the third.[/COLOR]

Some quick fireworks took place and openers, without any difficulties, chased down the score successfully. Rampaul, in particular, seemed to be very much determined to play in Team XI with his quick fire today and also with three catches as the keeper. He was awarded MOTM for the same though Mulligan was more expected by everyone for his brilliant figures 4/4 in 5 Overs with 2 maidens.

And that's the end of the match. HuntingTigers won by 10 wickets.

Ratnagiri CC 29-10(18.1 Overs)
HuntingTigers 32-0( 3.3 Overs )

Rampaul* 22 (12 balls)(MOTM)
Bartlett* 9 (10 balls)

" A very great way to start off this season... Hopefully the success continues in upcoming games as well. :upray ", feels the manager.

So, no problems for Hunting Tigers in winning today's game in dominating way. But its just a start of this season 3. More and more tough games coming up later this season. And that should be a great challenge to both captain as well as the manager.

Thats it for Today. Do join us in next game. Stay Tuned to know more.:)

Hunting Tigers ~ Club Info And FC Game Preview.

Welcome back again to Hunting Tigers club and its time to get some news on the club members status and about the first ever FC games for HuntingTigers. Before going into detail, it was found that some players have been trained very hard today and PFL goes even more worse. :(

Club Members Status.

Code:

[COLOR="Red"]Sponsors' confidence:	[/COLOR]joyous
[COLOR="Red"]Club Members:[/COLOR]	1403
[COLOR="Red"]Members confidence:	[/COLOR]animated[/COLOR][/B]

Its good to see that members confidence have gone up after yesterday's win. Seven more members joined the club today and thereby memberstatus crossing 1400 mark. Manager is happy about it though his ultimate aim is to take members confidence to Over the moon.. so that, more members will turn up for matches and hence nice gate receipts. ;)

Lets see whether the confidence status increases/decreases later this week after a FC game and a League game. Hopefully, it turns up in right way.:upray

First FC Game ~ A small preview!

[/B]

So the first FC game for Hunting Tigers is against the team called, " rajputs " scheduled at Hunting Tigers home ground.

The home ground is definitely a major advantage for Tigers. This reminds one of the classic matches for Tigers against a huge team Beltas where Tigers ended up in winning because of the home ground factor/support. But with not great members confidence, the number of spectators to turn up for the game might be less than the full house.

Code:

Top Order: 	[/COLOR]	feeble
[COLOR="Red"]Middle Order:[/COLOR] 	 	feeble

[COLOR="Red"]Seam Bowling:[/COLOR]   	feeble
[COLOR="Red"]Spin Bowling: [/COLOR]	 	feeble
[COLOR="Red"]Fielding:[/COLOR] 	 	abysmal[/COLOR][/B]

Seeing the way how the opponents played their last game, they seem to be a promising developing team as well. More importantly, they have a regular manager to guide them. :p Its expected to be a close contest. But with mode of game play totally different, Hunting Tigers feel like playing its first ever battrick game.

Code:
[B][COLOR="Black"][U]Hunting Tigers : probable Lineup[/U][/COLOR]

[COLOR="Purple"]1)  [/COLOR] [COLOR="DarkGreen"]L.Bishop  [COLOR="Red"](WK)  	[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Purple"]2)  [/COLOR]D.Bartlett

[COLOR="Purple"]5)  [/COLOR]E.Field
[COLOR="Purple"]6)  [/COLOR]A.Paki
[COLOR="Purple"]7)  [/COLOR]W.Clarke

[COLOR="Purple"]9)  [/COLOR]J.Love
[COLOR="Purple"]10)  [/COLOR]J.Hamed
[COLOR="Purple"]11)  [/COLOR]K.Macdonald[/COLOR][/B]

Despite of having problems with PFLs, the manager and captain,Alshaun feel to go with the full strength team. Only reason for this, " With new game mode, we don't want to take any risks ", feels both manager & captain.

Now, all the worries for the club will be when they play a strong team in league game later this week. So, with full strength and new tactics, Hunting Tigers hope to play well throughout these three days. Have to wait and see how it turns out though.

You know the first wicket you got, how could it of been a slower delivery if it is the first ball?

Why not? Is there any rule even in real life cricket like, not to bowl a tricky slow first ball?

Infact, it produced a wicket and hence the bowler deserves all the appreciation for getting first wicket in first ball of the team's season. :)

But it says slower meaning the ball before would of been quicker, the er bit is important.

Anyway great pres Suren, unbeaten season this year is on the cards. :p

unbeaten season this year is on the cards. :p

No jazy.. Toughest season ahead for me this time. :( Lets see how it turns out :upray Already seems to have a struggling start in FC as well.

Hunting Tigers ~ Day 1, FC Game Review.

Welcome back to Hunting Tigers club for some more updates on Day1 of the first FC game for Tigers. Lets see how the game went for the home team.

" To be abstract, not a great day for Tigers as expected. The things turned out completely in other way. :(" feels each and every member in Hunting Tigers dressing room.

HuntingTigers v rajputs (1733954).

fccupug2.jpg

[COLOR="Red"]Weather:[/COLOR] [COLOR="DarkGreen"]sunny[/COLOR]

[COLOR="Black"]HuntingTigers won the toss and elected to field.[/COLOR][/B]

On this slow pitch which is going to favour bowlers a bit more, the captain of Tigers felt it right to bowl first on this pitch. But one thing is sure that, slow pitch is going to look tough to everyone though the home team have played plenty of matches here and even turned them in their favour too.

Code:
[COLOR="Black"]0.6 	[B]W	[/B]Macdonald to Dhillon

 	 	[COLOR="Red"][B]Man alive! A firm drive stopped by a firm dive. Superbly caught by Alshaun.[/B][/COLOR]
[/COLOR]

The very first over brought lot of excitements to the Tigers. The main strike bowler, Macdonald got rid of one of the openers. It was all due to the brilliant effort in the field by the captain. Once again, this bowler has got wicket in very first over of the game.

4.6 W Macdonald to Rayno

Macdonald is delighed by that catch, Bishop dived wide to his left to take a stupendous catch off the inside edge of Rayno's bat!

It was once again, Macdonald. This time, it was a brilliant effort by the young keeper, Bishop. Thus second wicket too went for the opponents and Tigers were placed on right track too in the first five overs itself.

End of Over 5 (2 runs). rajputs: 12-2, runrate=2.40
Macdonald 3-1-4-2

Naidoo* 4 (9 balls)
Rampaul 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Rayno c. Bishop b. Macdonald 7 (FOW: 12/2)

Then came the huge partnership between Naidoo and Rampaul. They completely turned the things other way disappointing the home team. There were plenty of excellent shots played. Boundaries came in the regular intervals as well. Captain, Alshaun got too much frustrated.

Code:
[COLOR="Black"]
13.6 	[B]6[/B]	Hamed to Naidoo
 	 	Up, up and away. Naidoo adds six runs to the total.

16.2 	[B]6[/B]	Wotton to Rampaul
 	 	Lovely clean strike back over Wotton, I'm betting that'll come down with snow on it![/COLOR]

Apart from regular fours, there were couple of big hits too. Especially, in very first over of Hamed, a huge six came turning the confidence of the bowler down. Hamed went for 17 runs in his first two overs which shocked everyone in Tigers dressing room as well as the fans of this club.

The captain tried all the possible bowling changes but the runs kept on flowing without any trouble from the bowlers. 100 runs crossed in opponent's scorecard. Macdonald was brought in once again for his second spell and it worked out.
24.5 W Macdonald to Naidoo

Somebody call a carpenter, the stumps have been obliterated!

FOW : Naidoo b. Macdonald 62 (FOW: 105/3)
End of Over 25 (2 runs). rajputs: 105-3, runrate=4.20

Macdonald took the stumps out with lot and lots of frustrations. Naidoo had no clue on that delivery. Great innings, thus came to an end and the celebrations continued for Tigers team. They were looking for this breakthrough for a long time and atlast they got it.

Captain wanted to utilize this breakthrough but another partnership started developing which again frustrated the home team to huge extent. This pair rotated the strikes very well and got boundaries as well.

Clarke, in one of the deliveries was too much irritated by this shot,

Code:
[COLOR="Black"]57.1 	[B]6[/B]	[B]Clarke to Padayachie[/B]
 	 	They'll have to remove the customs stickers from the ball when that one comes back, Padayachie has hit it to another continent - what a shot.
And that's his fifty! Well played.[/COLOR]

This huge six brought many angers for the bowler on the batsman and infact he got his sweet revenge in the same over,

57.3 W Clarke to Padayachie

Clarke runs in, shortish ball around off stump. Padayachie goes back, and chops on! Padayachie has chopped on attempting to cut. Well, That ball was no where near wide enough to cut. Poor shot choice.

FOW : Last Wicket: Padayachie b. Clarke 55 (FOW: 210/4,58 Overs)

This time, the celebrations were not much great because the opponents were very well placed in comfortable position. The spectators of Hunting Tigers were all in complete silence because they expected some dominance from the bowlers which usually happens.

Once again, another partnership started growing slowly. The main thing was, opponents went on with steady pace without any hurry. This tested everyone in Tigers team. Rotation of strikes came in regular intervals. Score also crossed 250 mark. Then finally came a breakthrough by Hamed which infact, intiated the collapse.

75.3 W Hamed to Woolner
Oh dear. Woolner only half commits to that delivery and a feeble piece of strokeplay gives the keeper an easy edge. A bread and butter catch for Bishop that one.

82.4 W Clarke to Padayachie
OUT, GONE! What a delivery from Clarke, cutting back into Padayachie who drove expansively, completely misreading the movement and it pings back his off stump.

86.3 W Clarke to Rampaul
Brilliant fielding by Alshaun. He backpedalled a long way and has caught him.

91.1 W Wotton to Duck
Oh yes! Superb delivery from Wotton, pitched outside off stump and swung in late, Duck shouldered arms and is mystified to see his off pole knocked out the ground. Quite simply an unplayable ball.

92.1 W Clarke to Tau
Hamed is under it, he won't drop this one... Oooops, he juggles it, but he hangs on in the end! Hamed lucked out there.

96.4 W Clarke to Mears
That was vicious! The ball spat up off the pitch towards Mears's throat, who could barely fend it away let alone play a decent shot, and it looped straight to Bartlett at backward point.

Thus after Hamed getting rid of 5th wicket, bowlers never allowed any batsmen to settle in which was indeed a good news for the home team. Fans also started to cheer their team. Wickets came at the regular intervals and Clarke displayed another heroic performance by finishing their tail off. He ended up with 5 wickets. And the opponents managed to put 302 on their board.

W. Clarke : 5/32(16.4 O, 6 M)
Code:
 [COLOR="Black"][B]rajputs : 302/10(96.4 overs)[/B][/COLOR]

[COLOR="Black"][B]Name  	       O  	M  	R  	W  	nb  	wd[/B][/COLOR]

[COLOR="DarkGreen"][B]Macdonald 	18 	4 	70 	3 	1 	0
Love 	        18 	1 	65 	0 	1 	1
Wotton         23 	4 	57 	1 	2 	0
Hamed 	       21 	2 	58 	1 	1 	3
Clarke 	       16.4 	6 	32 	5 	1 	0[/B][/COLOR]

Some huge disappointments for Love and Hamed who were having huge expectations from everyone. :( With 302 as a trailing margin, Hunting Tigers openers, Bartlett and Bishop arrived with just 13 overs left for the end of Day1.

2.2 W Tau to Malik
The ball nipped back as he went for the pull and he gets a fine edge. Padayachie and Tau appeal like one man and the umpire sends Malik back to the changing rooms.

2.1 W Tau to Bartlett
OUT! Thin edge and Padayachie takes a textbook catch.

Shocking things happened for the home team. Bartlett, who started off with a boundary in very first ball just gave away his wicket. It was expected that openers will take through those 13 overs but it was disappointing to see Bartlett getting out at very low score.

Even more frustrations came when, Malik gifted his wicket in very first ball. :mad: Being a vice captain of this team, he was not expected to play such a silly and irresponsible cricket. He earned a lots of anger from everyone. Skipper Alshaun came to the crease with huge pressure on Tigers.

5.1 6 Duck to Alshaun
You can't set fields for shots like that, that's brilliant!
7.2 4 Duck to Alshaun
He's had a go at that one, he's got a lot of edge on it and it's gone flying away to third man for four past the diving fielder.

Alshaun started hitting some boundaries which brought atleast some cheerings from the fans. Alshaun and Bishop played some sensible cricket and took it to the end of 13 overs, which means, umpires signaled the players that it was end of Day 1.

HuntingTigers,Total (13.0 overs, 2 wickets) 61(End of Day1)

V.Alshaun : 33*(30)
L.Bishop : 15*(38)

With still trailing by 241 runs, huge pressure is still on this pair and the entire team. None of the faces in Hunting Tigers dressing room looked happy. Including the manager, there were huge amount of disappointments existed.

" We have still, a plenty of repair works to do. Lets forget these unexpected/unfortunate things that happened today and refresh everything and need to keep the focus on Day 2. " feels the manager of Hunting Tigers.

Can it be a Hunting Tiger's day tomorrow? Have to wait and see how the things turn up on Day2. Stay Tuned to find more. :)

Hunting Tigers ~ Day 2, FC Game Review.

Welcome back to Hunting Tigers club for the review of Day2 of the first FC game for Tigers. With a shocking start for Tigers in batting on Day1 ( 8/2 ) and with some recovery from Alshaun and Bishop, both the batsmen arrived on Day 2 with complete determintation and atmost confidence.

Centurions(Alshaun/Field) In Rescue on Day 2!

fccupug2.jpg

In very first over on Day 2, Bishop started with a magnificent four but in the same over, bowler got his revenge. Bishop got dismissed which increased the pressure on Tigers even more. :mad:

13.3 W Blake to Bishop

The ball bounced really low, hitting Bishop on the toe bang in front. Out to a grubber, how unlucky!

Field arrived at the crease and there was a massive pressure on Alshaun/Field and also, there were lots of disappointments/frustrations seen in the Tigers dressing room. They just can't believe the things happening to them at the home ground.

But, with captain playing a perfect guiding role, Tigers started recovering to great extent with solid support from Field.

Code:
19.2	[B]4[/B]	Blake to Alshaun

 	 	A very, very hard drive to extra cover. Fantastic timing.
25.3	[B]4[/B]	Blake to Alshaun

 	 	Four runs. That went straight off the meat of the bat. An excellent cover drive by Alshaun.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

27.5	[B]4	[/B]Blake to Alshaun

 	 	He played that shot with grace and vision, all adding to Alshaun's gravitas as a batsman.
30.4	[B]4	[/B]Mears to Alshaun

 	 	Nice shot, they'll get three here…oh terrible throw to Padayachie and they'll run an extra one.
32.5	[B]4[/B]	Mears to Alshaun

 	 	Picked up the length early and crashed the ball away for four through the leg side field.
38.6	[COLOR="Red"][B]6	[/B][/COLOR]Mears to Alshaun

 	 	Huge shot! It clipped a bird on the way up, feathers all over the place!
40.4	[B]4[/B]	Mears to Alshaun

 	 	Cracking stroke through the on side.

Thus Alshaun started hitting regular boundaries and made him to look like a unstoppable run making machine to the bowlers. The bowlers had no clue about how to stop this man. Opponent's captain got too much frustrations.. but the skipper, Alshaun was giving all the frustrations,which they got initially, back to opponents. :)

42.2 1 Dhillon to Alshaun

Gently played out into the covers.
And that's a century for Alshaun! Well played indeed Sir!

Hunting Tigers captain reached his magnificent century and raised his bat proudly towards the dressing room and his fans. Ofcourse, its a very proud moment to get a century under pressure in the home ground. The excitements and entertainment was wide spread among the fans and also among everyone in the Tiger's dressing room.
Code:
[COLOR="Black"]46.3	[B]4	[/B]Dhillon to Alshaun

 	 	A lusty cover drive finds a gap in the field and races to the boundary.
46.2	[B]4	[/B]Dhillon to Alshaun

 	 	Down the leg side and Alshaun just helps it on its way to the fence for four.
46.1	[COLOR="Red"][B]6[/B][/COLOR]	Dhillon to Alshaun

 	 	Alshaun has gone the tonk with that one - straight over long off for six.
50.2	[B]4[/B]	Dhillon to Alshaun

 	 	Four of the best, deposited back over Dhillon's head. Vintage Alshaun.
50.1	[B]4[/B]	Dhillon to Alshaun

 	 	Highly unorthodox and highly effective. Alshaun just carved that over point with no foot movement at all.[/COLOR]

He didn't stop with his century, but continued to explode the bowlers more and more hurting them too much. But definitely, it was not hurting the fans though.. They were all jumping from their seats with huge excitements.

55.6 4 Tau to Alshaun

Over the bowler's head and just short of six.
Thats his 150. A fine knock.

Hunting Tigers captain soon reached another milestone, 150! This has been a wonderful entertainment provided by Alshaun and also rescued the Tigers team from a deep trouble with Field going solidly too in another end.

Code:
18.3	[B]4	[/B]Duck to Field

 	 	Field guards middle and leg, giving him room for a fantastic square cut. Four runs all the way.
29.1	[COLOR="Red"][B]6	[/B][/COLOR]Blake to Field

 	 	Beautifully lofted drive over the outstretched arms of Naidoo at long on for six.
29.4	[B]4	[/B]Blake to Field

 	 	Splits the off side field with a delicious square cut. He will enjoy seeing that one again later.

Field, who started very patiently to support his skipper, started to accelerate the scorecard along with his captain. He played some magnificent shots all over the ground and reached his fifty,
35.2 1 Woolner to Field

The batsman cleverly rolls his wrists on it and it rolls slowly down to square leg.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Field recieved warm applauses from everyone including his skipper for the brilliant effort under pressure. Field was growing in confidence ball by ball and was playing a perfect cricket which includes both the mixture of rotation of strikes as well as the boundaries.
Code:
38.3	[B]4	[/B]Mears to Field

 	 	Drops to one knee and sweeps over mid wicket.
39.6	[B]4	[/B]Woolner to Field

 	 	Dropped a bit shorter than good length and run just fine of third man for four.
41.6	[B]4[/B]	Woolner to Field

 	 	Nice use of the feet creates a half volley which races away back past Woolner.
52.1	[B]4[/B]	Dhillon to Field

 	 	Field plays that very fine off his hips, letting the pace of the ball do all the work. Four runs.
54.5	[B]4[/B]	Duck to Field

 	 	A great front foot pull shot by Field. That'll race away to the boundary for four. Rayno had no chance to stop that.
59.6	[B]4	[/B]Tau to Field

 	 	FOUR, cut through point and Rayno has no hope of reaching that.

He continued dominating the bowlers and started marching towards the triple figures. Overall, this partnership was too much frustrating the opponent team and they were badly hunting for the breakthrough.

61.1 2 Blake to Field

An ugly shot there from Field. A cross-batted slog somehow gets the ball out to third man and the batsmen cross for two.
And that's a century for Field! Well played indeed Sir!

Field also reached his century. He recieved same applauses like his skipper. Alshaun hugged him and appreciated Field's young and matured talent. Field was very proud too to get his first big century in a FC game. He had played some crucial knocks in his career till now but this remains as the biggest of those. Well played and well supported Field! :clap

70.6 W Duck to Alshaun

Man alive! A firm drive stopped by a firm dive. Superbly caught by Tau.
78.2 W Woolner to Field

Beautiful delivery finds an edge. Padayachie grabs it, the appeals go up. He's out.

It was when both Alshaun and Field were taking the team to big level, both got departed. There were plenty of tiredness observed in them though. Both were very much exhausted. They recieved standing applauses when they walked back to the dressing room. Ofcourse, they deserved it because of their outstanding/exceptional efforts in saving their team.

After these two departed, Paki took the responsibility. Paki and Clarke added some small partnership but Clarke was departed soon.

95.3 W Tau to Clarke

Short pitched delivery, Clarke attempts to pull, thick top edge sends the ball straight up. Duck stands under it and takes a comfortable catch.

Wotton joined Paki and they added another great partnership which frustrated the opponents all together. They were eagerly looking for Tigers declaration which did not happen.

Code:
96.1	[B]4[/B]	Mears to Wotton

 	 	Wide of off, on the back foot, cut into the gap to a vacant backward point boundary.
99.3	[B]4[/B]	Tau to Wotton

 	 	Whacked straight over Tau's head.
100.1	[B]4	[/B]Mears to Paki

 	 	Beautiful cover drive races to the fence. That's four runs for Paki. You won't see a better shot today.
104.1	[B]4	[/B]Mears to Paki

 	 	Exquisite cover drive, Paki watched it onto the bat and it bisected the fielders perfectly.
105.3	[B]4[/B]	Tau to Wotton

 	 	Lovely technique by Wotton. Wonderful straight drive back past Tau. Great timing.

Wotton and Paki started adding runs to the scorecard at a faster rate. Especially, Wotton's quick fire was suprising to everyone. But he enjoyed his batting more than his bowling. In the other end, Paki too reached his 50 and recieved great appreciation from everyone.

110.5 W Duck to Wotton

Poor delivery, full and slow. Wotton leant back, and got right underneath it, smacking it straight into the air and straight down the throat of Rampaul.

Atlast Wottong got dismissed by a poor delivery and poor shot. But its understandable when the team is playing only for developing a healthy lead. Love joined Paki and these two took the team to end of Day 2's play with Paki remained unbeaten on 90.
HuntingTigers : 533/7 ( 123 Overs, End of Day 2 )
Lead by 231 Runs.

V.Alshaun : 174(202)
E.Field : 135(204)
M.Wotton : 41(57)

A.Paki* : 90(134) Not Out
J.Love* : 16(41) Not Out

Expect a declaration at very first over of Day 3 inspite of Paki on 90!

So with a comfortable lead of 231 runs and just one day remaining, the job for Hunting Tigers is still not yet over. The main climax of the game is to be revealed on Day 3.

" With just one day remaining, we still have plenty of jobs to do in getting rid of opponent's ten wickets. Because of the short time, expect a declaration very soon even at the end of first over tomorrow. ;) We will try our level best to win this game! " feels the manager of Hunting Tigers.

With Day 2 going completely in favour of Hunting Tigers, Can they make it tomorrow with a win? Have to wait and see how the things turn up on Day3. Stay Tuned to find more. :)
