Hussey should be thankful his been selected so late in his career that way he'll most likely end his career with an average of over 50 in Test Cricket whereas he might not've if he debuted in his 20's.

Yes, he might not have as great an average now if he had been playing since his 20s, but he hasnt. Im sure he would give up his amazing average if he had the chance to play cricket for australia for ten odd more years.
Can he help it if he wasnt picked intil the later, prime of his career?

Yeah, in the mid 40's or so just like a Justin Langer who did play 10 or so years ago. Except Langer made runs in Australian domestic cricket and Hussey didn't but instead dominated country cricket.

Hussey only emerged after his heroics in County Cricket. And what about the 100 average, hes just in form and when you go out of form his average will drop again. The same thing happened in ODI where he average 85 for first year and half. He has also not been gr8 force against India so do not worry he will be back with the pack after Ind-Aus series.
