KP has to get emerging player, the only one capable of challenging is Bell, but the ashes wasnt too good for him, and KP will of been seen as amazing after his mamoth 157.

I'd say the only one capable of challenging was AB de Villiers myself. But how ridiculous not to include the Ashes in the criteria.

What about Strauss for test player. 600+ runs in RSA did well in the Ashes 2 centuries.

I've checked out some of the stats for the period they'll be judging on, and this is what I'd like to see:

Player of the year: Inzamam-ul-Haq - His stats for both forms of the game surprised me.

Test Player - Ricky Ponting/Glenn McGrath

ODI Player - Andrew Flintoff/Yousuf Youhana

Emerging player of the year - Kevin Pietersen

Remember, the Ashes stats are not inlcuded.

Maybe they will split it and award it to both of them...I didn't realise McGrath had such a dominating year! 4 of the top 5 wicket takers are spinners, shows the lack of pace bowling talent around

Not really, spinners will always bowl more overs.
