Hopefully Hopes, Hussey and Ferguson can do some good lower order batting for us? We've got Johnson down there who can whack it a long was as well.

Hussey and Ferguson are guys I would rely on for quick scoring, Hopes seems like a guy that needs time to get in.

And White has been overrated for a long time now, he can hit big but the majority of his hits are mistimed edges flying all over the place.

Also, Amit Mishra has replaced Pragyan Ojha as the second spinner, which is a little surprising since Ojha didnt do anything wrong. Rohit Sharma gets the boot (which is a good thing) and so does Ravindra Jadeja. Raina comes back and Sehwag stays out. I feel its a very well balanced team that has been selected for the Champions trophy. Looks much better with Tendulkar and Dravid back to add solidity.

KKD wont be getting any chance unless Dhoni is injured. With Raina and Yuvraj turning their arms over along with Yusuf Pathan, we can do with 4 specialist bowlers.

Mishra did well in the Emerging Players, which is probably why he was picked over Ojha. Anywho, both are quality spinners, so either works for me.

Good to see that they didn't fasttrack Kohli back into the squad for his brilliant Emerging Players campaign. Karthik deserves to be there ahead of him at this point, imo, as the backup batsman.

Nehra is a horrid selection though, but hope he proves me wrong. I'd have picked Tyagi over Nehra. Good Emerging Players tourney, and has done well always in his domestic appearances. Was fairly good in the IPL too.

I'd go with more or less the same team as saisrini. Pity we won't get to see much of Nayar though.

I got to personally congratulate Nayar in person yesterday at the Buchi Babu tournament on his selection.

I think the squad was announced a bit too early though, they could've waited till halfway through the Siril tour at least. What if someone has a horrible series?

It's only gone because I formatted my computer and now I can't find it. It'll be back when I come across it again.

KP isn't crying about injuries. He had an operation on his achilles which became infected and so is forced out.

It was better for the team if he didn't play the rest of the series. He wasn't able to perform. At least now he's gone and had the operation he'll be back fitter than ever.
