ICC Champions Trophy 2013 - England & Wales

I guess India will face the best bowling attack in the finals. I guess Pakistan's bowling attack was a bit overrated. Yes they are all very talented but Ajmal has been out of form for some time now, Junain Khan is a good bowler but quite inexperienced and also lacked aggression this time. Mohammed Irfan is tall but does not move the ball in the air or from the surface. Wahab Riaz was pretty much the most impressive out of all them. The way he was bowling his heart out every time was amazing to see. England bowling is much better if the conditions are in favour of them but if the sun comes out than Indian bowling becomes equally good.

I guess you don't read the forums these days as much as before? He seems like an official troll backed by the PC team to test the endurance and patience levels of the Indian members. :rolleyes

I reported this post of yours, apparently the same 'PC Team' which you claim supports the 666 member has seen it fit to leave your post, and haven't reprimanded you. If you think a sarcasm smiley and letters in bold mask your trolling, think again, the only one trolling here is yourself, take a check on yourself mate, posts like these only serve to destroy the forum and destroy your image as a poster.

As for India's win today, I am still convinced they're no champions. Once went to a Joel Osteen crusade and his sermon regarded prayers, he said sometimes god don't answer our prayers in time because we have to wait for something greater, I am hoping he didn't answer my prayers for the Indians not to reach this far in the competition so they may suffer even more by losing in the finals against the English. However if India go on to lift the trophy then congrats to them, its a young team and hopefully a win like this would usher in a new culture within the team.

Well played boys! Need another bowling performance like this in the final.

And you think that by posting a little serious like this, your image as a serious troll will be wiped off?? You're welcome to do any crap you want. Report my post? Be my guest.... That post of mine will always stand! Regarding the PC team backing you, it was sarcasm but there is that hint of irritation in me about them (with regards to dealing with you) which is genuine and serious.

Agree with that! Superlative performance. However, I wish Raina and Dhoni had got more batting practice. Kohli in the end ensured Raina didn't get enough deliveries at him by scoring really quick. When reaching the final was a foregone conclusion, I wish Kohli had shown more sense and given Raina the strike more.

But superbly played India!!! What a dominant performance. I haven't seen such dominance from India in a tournament (that too an ICC tournament). If we win against England in the final, we will go throughout the tourmament with an all-win record. Hope we can achieve it. This team is very refreshingly good, and can serve India for long, barring a few tweaks here and there.

Well played India, best team in the tournament.

You were one of the rare guys that believed in India's chances for this tournament even before it started. You seem to be proven right, and I am proven wrong (well, I'm not complaining:D:thumbs)

Well , Dhawan is playing really well , It will be a tough final game .

Dhawan and Rohit Sharma's form has carried India till here so far. Hope they continue to click in the final game also. Dhawan seems to be having better footwork than Sehwag (based on the analysis that was done today by Gavaskar on commentary), but obviously Sehwag has that gifted hand-eye co-ordination.

But I think Dhawan should prosper in overseas conditions. He plays the short ball pretty decently, looks confident when hooking or pulling, and leaves the ball well enough.

Two one-sided semis, very disappointing for a supposed "mini World Cup". Not nearly enough close contests, out of 14 games so far FIVE have been won by 7-8 wickets, two by 48+ runs and others may have ended with close-ish margins but were pretty much last gasp efforts to get close - like Australia getting to within 21 runs of beating Sri Lanka from 168/8 and New Zealand getting to within 10 runs of England from 62/5

I trust the final will be a better contest. The Oval produced one decent contest out of five, Edgbaston hasn't produced one in four thus far. I'm a bit surprised with all the annual bidding for Tests etc that so few venues have been used - and Lords not at all.

I've certainly enjoyed the tournament far more than I would the World Cup. This is the sort of format the World Cup needs to be.

England can't be sure that they can restrict India to a manageable total. India's batting has been red hot in this tournament with the top order consistently firing. India's bowling attack is not great, but has been consistent enough to keep the opposition down in check, and has picked wickets too.

IMHO, England would most likely prefer Sri Lanka rather than India in the final.

I was expecting the Indians to bowl crap tbh, maybe I underrated them a touch but the way they managed to keep the Lankans in a fix was amazing? 30 overs and RR about 3? I was like 'You gotta be kidding me with an Indian attack' but I'd be honest enough to say well played India. They deserve to be in the final. Lankans they were bound to lose playing that slow.

Was anyone surprised to see Mahela bat that low? Has he decided about his retirement already? Coming back to the Indians, they have got able opponents in the home side. Obviously they are better players in those conditions and they may order to tinker the pitch conditions a bit as per their preference holding a definite edge besides on paper. Lets see how the Indian bowlers bowl on the D-Day. A game involving India where the deciding factor is primarily not as x team's bowling vs India's batting after a long long time. Excellent!

Well played india still we are unbeatean in the tournament. The real big challenge will be facing england in the final playing on their home backyard also they have got good bowling line up Anderson is in superb form hope dhawan put up a big century in the final
