That dimension is pointless if he does`nt get to bat at all. Also, we have one bowler in Bumrah who only becomes useful in the last 10 overs. I would`nt be cribbing about it if it was a situation where we had no other alternatives. However, we have two bowlers who have had superb test match seasons and taken quality wickets sitting out. Yet, we get to see Pandya bowling. It really turns me away. Remember, Umesh was fantastic in the first game as well.

I am not going to argue as you're clearly set in your ways. I am simply going to say that what Sehwag said I didn't really care about, but if you dish it out you must be able to take it. Rashid Latif made a similar style video, and the media and Manoj Tiwary clearly only saw one side of the argument.

Back to the game at hand, evenly poised. Bangladesh clearly trying to attack India, which the only way you're going to defeat them. Put their bowlers under pressure and attack the 3rd seamer (Hardik).

My problem is that you cannot select a bowling attack where your bowlers are one-trick ponies. Bumrah is only useful in the slog and not a wicket-taker outside of that. The only reason Hardik gets a bowl is for those 10 overs to be bowled without much damage. Also, since Kohli is scared to bowl him anywhere close to the last 15 overs, he comes in to bowl immediately after the 1st powerplay and you have about 15 overs where there is no intent of picking up a wicket making it easy for batting sides to set themselves up. Pandya cannot be in this side if we survive today. However, I feel that the damage has already been done. If we had Umesh or Shami to back up the attack with Bhuvi, you would have a superb chance of getting more wickets right through the innings. That would make Ashwin and Jadeja more potent as well because the conditions here ensure that they are not potent wicket-taking forces otherwise.

How can international sides with all the support staff get such obvious stuff wrong?

The ploy seems to be to keep wickets in the last 20 and attack!

Might have to be a little careful because, with Bumrah and Kumar, it might be hard to score quick and might end up losing wickets.
