I can't believe the umpiring level has dropped down this low that even reviews aren't helping them see the truth. Now I should take back my words that I said 4 years ago on PlanetCricket

Just a lookback if nobody remembers it

In 2011 England-India series we saw that some wrong decisions were made because of the malfunctioning of DRS that is why BCCI have stopped using DRS. But in other way if we think they are not doing the right thing because they are also making their loss of their own team with this decision of not using the DRS facility.
Because of this we are losing many matches as nowadays umpires are giving poor decisions. Remember that 2012-13 India-England series where many wrong lbw decisions were made. Some of the calls were given out even after inside-edges. Monty Panesar and Graeme Swann got many wickets off inside-edges on lbw calls. And even the in the recently played Border-Gavaskar series too many wrong decisions were made by umpires at wrong time. Whenever India were trying to build partnerships wrong umpire decision came in their way. Some of them are as follows:-

1) In the first test Dhawan got out caught by Haddin of the bowling off Johnson even after the ball had hit his arm guard Umpire had gave him out

2) Murali Vijay got out in the same way in the first innings of first test

3) Ajinkya Rahane way given out in the first innings of fourth test in the same way

and even many more wrong decisions were made

Many wrong decisions also happened when tailenders of opposite team were batting like:-

1) In the first test of England-India 2014 series Stuart Broad was given not out off a close lbw call off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar
And many such wrong decisions are made and will be made until and unless BCCI agrees to use DRS once again

Nah you guys are gonna win with that kind of batting. Soumya has some great shots when you bowl it at him but he does not move his feet well to play at wider deliveries. Hope he gets over it.

Disagree, they don’t really have anyone that can play the role of an aggressive slogger in this lineup barring an out of position Liton Das and inconsistent Sabbir. If we break this Rahim-Shakib partnership, I can see India winning this game without much worries as the pitch is only going to get worse from here on. This team will miss Mahmudullah big time today.

People like us are able to think on those lines. But the management despite having played the game too, don't seem to identify it. Jadeja should have played for Karthik. I mean if the wicket is not offering much turn, you can always keep Jadeja away from the bowling and bowl the 4 seamers + Chahal. Jadeja and Karthik at the end overs are pretty much very closely matched to each other. Jadeja can hit the long ball too, as Karthik. In fact Jadeja's big shots have better power.

Doesn't seem like it right now

The bowling looks very flat to be honest. The Pandya wicket was totally out of the blue.

These two are looking mighty comfortable here and settled. Asking rate is well under control as well. BD wouldn't start worrying until it hits 9-10 per over

Nah man, Shakib looks a little shaky as does Liton. I think the Indian bowlers are much better than their West Indian counterparts, it's gonna be a tough chase. I'll start believing when Shakib hits 200.

In all seriousness, we're not gonna make it if Shakib doesn't get any support on the other end. That's three batsmen gone now having played poor shots. We really need Mosaddek and Shabbir to step up and it goes without saying, Shakib needs to stay there till near the very end. We're missing Mahmudullah today for sure, he lives for these kinds of situations.

Shakib's wicket is absolute key. This situation can be dangerous for India because for Bangladesh, this game is a knockout and a loss puts them officially out of the tournament. They could go swinging here and Shakib has laid the platform.
