Sarfaraz is slowing things down here I agree
That's the issue with Pakistan since Sarfraz left opening. Right now the best thing he can do is to loose his wicket as early as possible.

The two overs between Stokes/Woakes and Rashid are the ones to go big on.

LOL ... that was a total miss by Wood first ball

Excellent death bowling by England. Asif was a big wicket as he could have taken Pakistan to 360+.

What a player Daamaad ji (Shoaib Malik) is

Fetches runs even when off strike, but pushing for that extra run...

Hafeez with yet another crucial contribution. Had it not been for him, Pakistan might have never crossed 320.

Surely the only reason why Sarfraz isn’t opening is because of his workload being a captain plus keeping? There’s no other reason to have a player like Imam as the opener who starts like Rohit but never quite finds that incredible acceleration towards the end in the side. Some of Sarfraz’s ugly heaves could have been boundaries had he been opening, and his unorthodox style of batting is a lot better served piercing gaps in the powerplay. This would allow Malik to bat at 5, which is the ideal position for him and also allows Zaman to stop being a hyper aggressive slogger and gives him the time to bat freely.

I think 350 is par for the course here.[DOUBLEPOST=1559568020][/DOUBLEPOST]Jason Roy's most ordinary day in the field in his career perhaps!

England have pulled things back quite nicely here... just 20 odd runs in last two overs could be so crucial. Pakistan are atleast 20-30 runs short seeing they are battling against England. Early wickets will be crucial, if Pakistan can get them, this is their game.

I don't know if most of you followed the recent England vs Pakistan series but this was exactly how we played the whole series. We were always short of 20-30 runs in the end and same is the case here.
Only hope is if our bowling do something different from that series.

Just getting a feeling that Pakistan bowling will do much better and pull this off.

I think this is par score despite that short 50 m boundary... (The dimensions on this ground are quite ridiculous)

It is about as par as it gets. Can be chased and can be defended equally easily. Should be a good game

I don’t think your batting was to blame for most of the series though. At most, I would have blamed Babar for not batting as aggressively as someone of his class ought to have or for failing to capitalise on those starts he got. Bowling has always been the weakness of this side in recent times, but Shadab and Amir could potentially change things up today. Given that England also need to make a record chase successfully with the pressure of a WC game after a poor show with the ball and on the field, I’d say that you guys stand a fair chance.

Woakes is the MVP - 3 wickets and 4 catches despite leaking runs
