Zimbabwe vs India 2nd ODI - Harare - 10/08/2014

After first ODI turning to be one sided match, for the final ODI, there was very less crowd to cheer the home team. After winning the toss, Zimbabwe decided to bat first. "We know we disappointed our fans for performing so badly in first ODI but we will try our best to perform well this time. We need to forget our previous match and try hard to win this and tie this series." said by Brendan Taylor. "Last match was kind off bowling practice for us so this time I wanted batting practice before the Asia Cup and that's why even I wanted to bat first. Our batting is yet to be tested as our bowling department has been terrific. Hope we win this match as well to win ODI Series." said by Virat Kohli

Once against Sikander Raza and captain Brendan Taylor came into bat against Mohammad Shami. Both were looking nervous in the beginning but as overs passed, they started feeling comfortable. They were dealing in singles and were hitting fours when it was required. First time Indian bowling was looking defective but you just can't save your wicket for long time against India. India got their first wicket for 39 and then again they got another wicket after 1 more run was added. Zimbabwe was in pressure again. Zimbabwe were trying to score as many runs as possible but Varun Aaron was bowling magnificently allowing Zimbabwe to score 110/7. After the 7th wicket, the whole scenario changed as Coventry and S.Masakadza added 127 runs for 8th wicket. This partnership allowed Coventry to score his century and Masakadza to score his 50. India were clueless + they were leaking runs in almost every single over. India tried hard but Zimbabwe was looking so good with tailenders batting higher than their standards and because of them, Zimbabwe was able to get 300+ score for the first time against India. Zimbabwe also became the first team to score 300+ in ODI here on Planet Cricket as they scored 328/10.

It was a tough task ahead for India but not the impossible one. India started aggressively in first over but they lost Sehwag who scored unlucky 13. After Sehwag's dismissal, Irfan Pathan got the chance to prove his worth as he was promoted to 1 down in absence of many players. Irfan didn't disappoint his manager but he missed his half century by 10 runs because of run-out. After his wicket, Rohit Sharma followed him to the pavilion and India's score became 82/3. All eyes were on Captain Virat Kohli who was struggling to perform again disappoints his fans by scoring just 2 runs. Cremer was bowling magnificently as India was having no clue to face this spinner. They tried and tried but they kept losing wickets because of which they lost to Zimbabwe by 84 runs to level the series 1-1. Every batsman managed to score some runs but Cremer was just too good for them. India will be very disappointed with this but Zimbabwe would be pleased with their performance after horrible 1st ODI.

After this match, all eyes will be on Test Match which looks very interesting. Which team will win the test match?

IND: 244/10 (34.3 Overs)
Zimbabwe won the match by 84 runs.

First of all guys thank you so much for staying active here and keeping this thing alive and a big success. The main aim to start this was World Cup and we are coming closer and closer to that. Right now we have 12 owners which means I have to change the format of the World Cup which I decided in the beginning but signups are still open. I would love to have 16 teams for this which will definitely make it more challenging and more fun. So if you know anyone who can take part in this (even if he is ready to take part only in World Cup and not tours) then please let him know so that we can have amazing World Cup.

Deadline for people to join for World Cup is till 16th August. If we get 0/2/4/6 owners then it's fine but if we get 1/3/5/7 owners then it's a problem. So if a new person join then he must get another one to join this league or else he won't be part of this World Cup (sadly)

ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP will take place from September 29, 2014 to November 15, 2014 (it may end before November 15th but we need to finish this before November 15th). Format, Fixtures and Groups of the World Cup will be announced very soon. Australia and New Zealand will host the World Cup.

Which team you pick favourites to win the World Cup? [DOUBLEPOST=1407695064][/DOUBLEPOST]Reason why I am saying from September 29 to November 15 is because I have school exams from 14th September to 27th September and then after almost 45 days of gap, I will have my pre-boards from 17th November and I won't have net connection to manage this which means I will be super busy. It would be great if we manage to finish the tournament as soon as possible. I want to show full dedication to the World Cup without compromising my exams. So that's why these dates are perfect for me and I hope it is perfect for you all as well.
