Qatar played their first international match against Kyrgyzstan in Al-Rayyan. Kyrgyzstan won the toss and elected to bat first, their openers added 128 runs for the opening wicket. Both Igor Kudrenko and Arstanbek Konokbaev scored 73 off 53, and 54 balls respectively. Amine Al-Sheeb and Yousuf Shehab picked one wicket apiece. Akram Afif went wicketless, but conceded only 17 runs in 4.0 over.

Qatar in their chase, fell 8 runs short as they failed to end the match with fireworks. Omar Bari was one of the disappointments, He scored only 8 runs off 10 balls. And their power hitter, and the so called "best" finisher managed to add only 12 runs off 11 balls. Khalid Ababacar fought hard with a 37-ball 60, but it was all in vain. Urmat Sheishenaliev picked 2 wickets for only 28 runs.

Igor Kudrenko was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his unbeaten innings of 73 from 53 balls. Qatar's next match in the West End Super Cup is against Philippines in Doha.​
