Afridi is in the squad, because he can bat and bowl. In the ODI squad, I'd prefer him any day of the week to Sehwag.
That is a big mistake.ZexyZahid said:But also to note: Vaas in not in the squad. :
Since the series against South Africa in 2003/2004 Akhtar averages 21.02. Ignoring Bangladesh it's 22.84. How is this rubbish?JamesyJames3 said:Alrite yes Akhtar has a healthy bowling average, but in recent years he has been awful and prone to injurys. Hes a bad choice. I saw him inn Australia during the winter....did nothing! He was Rubbissssh!
If you are going to replace Afridi with Dravid, then you will lose out on a bowling option, since the former is an allrounder. And we know how important allrounders are in ODIs.ronny_kingsley said:Well whatever said but not having Dravid in the ODI team defies logic.
Also if Akhtar is considered on his recent form so as to say then what about Zaheer ?
Maybe I would not have had Lara in my ODI team and get Inzi and without doubt have Rahul instead of Afridi.
Smith captaining is also a dodgy situation. He doesnt stand up to others in the team for me.
All in all Sidhu summed it up really well "This matches create more interest for this things rather than the cricket played"
