20/20 Post Match Press Confrence

Australian coach Adam Gilchrist talks to the press about his teams 4 wicket loss to the West Indies

Journalist:After scoring 151 did you think you were in front
Adam Gilchrist:I did we had runs on the board and i thought our bowling would have been good enough to win the match

Journalist:You made 151 from your 20 overs but you still had 9 wickets in hand should you have made more runs?
Adam Gilchrist:We could of made more and maybe should of but i know Ricky felt that 151 was a good enough score aswell

Journalist:You have a OD match now will your line up be the same as the one you will be going in to ODI match
Adam Gilchrist:Im not to sure about that right now but i expect it to be pretty similar

Journalist: Do you ever get the urge to play cricket again
Adam Gilchrist:I must admit watching Australia do so well in the 3 test matches i did feel like picking up the bat or the keeping gloves and run out on the field but im afraid my body wouldnt let me

Journalist:Would you take a contract for 2 years if Cricket Australia offered you one
Adam Gilchrist:Hmmm i guess i would but i really doubt they would offer me one and as i said before in a previous press conference they are on the look out for a coach already

Training for the ODI's begin

Australia were seen training the day before its ODI against the West Indies who will be on a high after beating Australia in the last game these two teams played against each other but the way the Australians will be looking at it is that it was just a 20/20 game.We got a chance to talk to medium pacer nathan bracken who will be looking to bowl better than he did against Barbados.

Journalist: Nathan you didnt bowl that well against barbados only picking up the one wicket and you were very expensive will you change anything in this game?
Nathan Bracken:I had the right plan it was just that i didnt execute it right

Journalist: Do you see youself playing Test matches for Australia ever again
Nathan Bracken: Unfortunatly no i dont we have alot of good young bowlers and as im nearing the end of my career i dont think i will play test match cricket for Australia

Nathan Bracken was then called back to train with the Australians by Vice Captain Michael Clarke

The umpires tossed the coin and Ricky Ponting called heads but was wrong and the Windies captain Chris Gayle chose to bat

Innings 1 West Indies

As the Australian bowlers walked onto the field they looked confident but they wouldnt of expected to knock the West Indies over for 151 their bowlers bowled brilliantly getting the first 7 wickets of the West Indies for 83 runs until a small 68 run revival from the last 3 batsmen D.Smith was the only highlight for the Windies scoring 43 runs from 63 balls all the Australian bowlers got wickets exept for Symonds who bowled a handy 7 overs for 19 runs Brett lee finished with figures of 2/28 of 5 overs and Bracken with 1/13 of 6 Siddle on debut picked up 3/34 and Johnson got 2/41.

If anyone has any ideas that could make this more interesting like more information more details more pictures feel free to say

maybe you could just add a little summary for the innings.
just like have it as you have then after the innings

like this
West Indies: 151 all out
D. Smith: 43
C. Gayle: 24
P. Siddle: 3/34
B. Lee: 2/28

and then after the next innings the same but with the opposition and you've already done a summary of who won and by how much as well as m.o.t.m

good idea ill definatly add it

cool, thats what im doing in my story. it just is easier to work out who scored highest and stuff because you have to look at the written summary of the innings and its just easier to do that.

Post Match Press Conference

Current Australian coach Adam Gilchrist was more than happy to answer a few questions we had about the recently played ODI against the West indies

Journalist:Your team won by 9 wickets and did it with lots of overs to spare are you happy with your teams performance
Adam Gilchrist:Im very pleased with our performance winning by 9 wickets is always going to please a coach

Journalist:Mathew Hayden was the man of the match again is he in the best form of his career?
Adam Gilchrist:Well its been such a long career i wont say its the best form he's ever been in because he has been in this kind of form before but he is in great form at the moment

Journalist: Peter Siddle on debut picked up 3/34 he is a very exiting prospect for the future of cricket Australia do you agree?
Adam Gilchrist:Anyone who can pick up 3/34 of debut is going to be a good player and i remember batting to him when he was in the Melbourne Cricket training facilities and i must admit i hit him for a few fours in a row but the sign of a good player is bowling well even after they get hit for runs and thats what he did after that he beat my outside edge alot and was lucky not to get me out

Journalist:For the next ODI against the West Indies will you have the same line up
Adam Gilchrist:Thats a pretty good possibility

Journalist:Is it true that there are already talks with other coaches going on in the next few days
Adam Gilchrist:I honestly dont know
