I reckon the teams which have allrounders in their ranks have better chance to make particularly getting a few quick runs in the late stages of the match or chipping in with a few overs when a specialist bowler has a bad day at the office. Not to forget the teams with brilliant fielders as 10-15 runs saved in the field can be result defining in the game's shortest format as we all know.
As far as the favorites according to me are concerned, I reckon three teams have real good chance and they Pakistan, England and Australia.
Australia: I have never rated the Australian team too high in the T20Is but Finch and Bailey's good run of form and the hard hitting allrounders like Faulkner and Maxwell down the order means they have that extra option in batting and bowling which can be very crucial.
England: A team I would have written off hands down if there wasn't the likes of Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan in their set up. I feel their bowling is a bit weak despite their bowlers having good numbers to show. One man that they will be missing is Swann. Yes, Tredwell is there and he has done a great job in 50 overs cricket but you would want 2 or even more spinners operating in Bangladesh. That said, I am billing Ravi Bopara, the bowler to be the surprise package for the tournament from England.
Pakistan: Hitters galore! Obviously Pakistan's batting has let them down big time in longer formats but things change drastically in T20Is. They have plenty of big hitters to choose from: From Sharjeel Khan to Shahid Afridi. They bat long and deep and their bowling is probably the best in T20Is with the likes of Gul, Ajmal, Afridi, Hafeez and Tanvir right up their on the list. Another big plus for them is they have players who can play spin better than most teams which is almost a prerequisite to play in the subcontinent.
You are clearly underestimating the other nations as well. NZL can also pose a threat, especially when they have gotten hands on some real good power-hitters. Add to that Brendon McCullum is in the form of his life.
Pakistan have done well here in the Asia Cup. However, their inconsistency will be a major deterrent in them achieving their goals.
Australia: I have never rated the Australian team too high in the T20Is but Finch and Bailey's good run of form and the hard hitting allrounders like Faulkner and Maxwell down the order means they have that extra option in batting and bowling which can be very crucial.
Write of Ireland at your peril!
They could be like the new Sri lanka when they first entered the world arena, no one give them much credence or respect but they certainly bloodied a few noses on their way to super stardom and made the cricketing world look up and take notice !!

Chances of Ireland going through to the Super10 look more probable than that of Zimbabwe from Group B.
I disagree. Zimbabwe are familiar with the Bangladeshi surroundings and conditions whereas Ireland aren't. Also most of Zimbabwe's star players play domestic cricket in Bangladesh so they have experience of playing in the country.
Final will be between India and Australia, with India winning the world cup.Pakistan looks favourites to me. Final will be SL v Pak!
