lmao great thread.

I agree with Deans last post completety. It sums it all up. I dont care if it is your greatest moment or greatest world cup ever it's been 25 years. Stop celebrating it and start concentrating on trying to win another.

I can't see what was there in Sunil Gavaskar's mind when he started the party, about India winning another one.

Guys, I know it looks like a bit of show off, but the people celebrating it aren't those who play Cricket now. Its those people that used to play Cricket. Won since then is the matter of the current playing teams - these are retired people who are just celebrating the landmarks of their lifes!

Whats with the parades and lavish gifts from BCCI?

Just shows that BCCI aren't confident that India will win 2011 WC :p

how would you say that?

Let me get it it will not be Pakistan as well:p

firstly let PCB solve there internal matter first(don't ask me what?:p) so they can think of the WC;)

indians overact to victory as well as defeat....!

but if other teams dont celebrate...its their problem not ours..!
we arent celebrating to prove anything or are showing off...we
are doing it to felicitate the team that brought the 83 world cup
which changed the face of indian cricket !

and they deserve it.....! and what the hell is your problem if we celebrate...
is it affecting your life in anyway ?? is it your country ? is it your cricketing board ?? is it that you or any of your family members were a part of the team and arent given any importance ??

stop whining and let the WC winners re-unite and relish the moments
they wont forget their entire lives !

This is not a debate about whether Pakistan will win the 2011 World Cup or not.

Go start another thread for that.

Again, PCB internal matter - make another thread if you wanna talk about it.

Your celebrations are affecting what I watch on TV.

I could care less if you guys have parades in your own country, but when they're having a parade in New York, and invading what I watch on TV on Channels that are broadcasted to different countries, then I have a problem.

And the fact that I'm hearing about this stuff and seeing it, and how overhyped it is, thats when its a problem.

Example: If today India won the WC, all of this would be completely appropriate

change the channel(s)...simple as that !
or best...turn off the TV....

hmmm......are they having the parade anywhere near your house ??
or anywhere near islamabad ?? or do you live in new york ?

YOu guys are all just JEALOUS:D WHY would you care if someone is celebrating their achievements? I mean a classic example in the ANZAC day where all Australians and New Zealanders acknowledge their war veterans. I mean they do the ceremony like its the first anniversary every year. Isnt that over doing it.

Im not trying to start anyone here, im just saying there are alot of other things that are celebrated a bit too much in which we dont take much care of.

Cricket is a game ...

you seem so serious:eek:

You cant be serious. Cricket is just a game!?!?!

Rugby League for me= "Its more then just Life or Death"
Cricket for me= "Life or Death"

How can you not get serious over a game if you support it so strongly?
