let these geezars celebrat there only and ever world cup homie
because they an't gonna win it again

are you hurting as you are not celebrating:p

Cricket_god added 7 Minutes and 9 Seconds later...

The Indians in India are celebrating it as if they won the WC yesterday!

Even on TV they're giving more trophies and awards and whatnot out....

Pakistan won their only WC in 1992, only 16 years ago (comparitively to 1983), and we don't go have Parades and give awards for something that happened 16 years ago.

Complete over the top reaction, cut a cake in your house or something (at the most), but parades and giving awards out for something that was 25 years ago?

Seriously, I don't see the Aussies celebrating their WC victories, or the Windies, or even Sri Lanka!

as you or they don't havethe money honey

YOu guys are all just JEALOUS:D WHY would you care if someone is celebrating their achievements? I mean a classic example in the ANZAC day where all Australians and New Zealanders acknowledge their war veterans. I mean they do the ceremony like its the first anniversary every year. Isnt that over doing it.

Im not trying to start anyone here, im just saying there are alot of other things that are celebrated a bit too much in which we dont take much care of.

actually
this is much more different than cricket. these are people who risked their lives to save their country!! who gave everything to help and support their country bro. its different from winning world cup.

zmario your most of the post in this are somewhere proving your so jealous(:D)

and for Indians i Pakistan celebrate as many time you want (in front of this guy)and dance over the chak de music:p

I agree they're overdoing it and I think they'll celbrate it as a centenary too because in the next 75 years I doubt India would win a world cup:p

It would be to your advantage to know that Pakistan have won 2 U-19 WCs as well....

And the Twenty20 Championship wasn't a WC.

Officially declared by the ICC it wasn't a WC, but a Championship, like the Champions Trophy.

The T20 WC in 2009 will be a World Cup (for T20)

And theres a big difference betweem big parades and lavish gifts and big dinners and a small get together.

1996 WC Quarter-Final, many more.

My point is why are we celebrating something 25 years ago. I understand your whole "silver jubilee" concept, but why haven't the West Indies done it?

They've had 3 opportunities to do so, but show some sort of modesty

I admit that I forgot the two U-19's which Pakistan won.

About the World Championship and World Cup,honestly I see no difference between the two.

As far as the 1983 team-I really havent seen any big parades.Lavish gifts ? A cheque of 25lakhs is what they have got.

1996 WC Quarter final- whicho ne are you talking about ? Here we are talking of the World Cup as a whole. Also, you ppl lost the 1996 WC Quarters.

And about the Windies,I dunno why they havent celebrated as yet.

I would also like to add another thing here- The Indians are celevrating 25 years cause they have a full team here.I mean,no one has passed away. They also know that they would not be able to a 50 year celebration.

I request this thread to be closed please, because the thread starter can do nothing but call Indians stupid, and all other sorts of things.

i agree it will end up with flaming the owner has started with words KI said

If you cannot call parading and dancing in the streets celebrating for India in the country of Pakistan, in a country and area which is dominantly Pakistan, and is a hostile country, and playing bollywood music and Chak De India at full volume in the streets as stupid, then I'm not sure as to what to say.

Somebody might just... you know... harm them...
